THE FAITHFUL REMNANT

Therefore, I will look unto the LORD, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy, when I fall, I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.  Micah 7:7-8

The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouths, their ears shall be deaf Micah 7:16

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage; he retained not his anger for ever; because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities and thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou will perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou has sworn unto our fathers from the days of old. Micah 7: 18-20

 

Them Ol’ Churrchh Mothers had a saying that’s even more applicable to these last and evil days. “If we ever needed the LAWD before, we sho do need him now.!” Notwithstanding, those of us who attest to this truth, acknowledge that  much of what we’re reaping is the fruit of our own doings!  Yet, despite our dire  circumstances, we yet have a HOPE that’s beyond this world.

Without foolishly boasting presumptuously in the strength of our own righteousness, looking back at the Scriptures at the folly of humanity and the unrelenting faithfulness of our Creator, we put our enemies on alert, “Jus because it seems like we’re down and out, don’t gloat! And whatever you do, don’t start the parrta too soon!   I know we don’t deserve such favor, howevrrrr, TRUTHBTOLD, our God will never be without a witness in the Earth.”

TRUST2KNO, ABBA FATHER, the ONLY TRUE SOURCE of protection, safety and peace, has sworn by HIMSELF, that if we would humbly confess our sin, embrace His inexhaustible Compassionate Mercy and call on JESUS,  He PROMISED to hear, forgive us and answer our every need! 

Can’t you see the shock and  amazement of your adversaries, jus when they thought you were defeated, GRACE SHOWED U AND SHUT THEIR MOUTHS!#WOW! DIDJAHEARDAT?   #ijs!! DATZ A REASON 2 PRAIZ HIM, RIGHT NAH, huh?

BELOVED, Whatever the enemy meant for evil, GOD SHALL TURN IT AROUND AND MAKE IT WORK TOGETHER FOR OUR HIGHEST GOOD AND HIS GREATEST GLORRAAA!  I KNOW IT AIN’T FAIR, BUT THAT’S  JUS HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US!

THANKSB2GOD, Who’s anger doesn’t last forever but delights in MERCY 2 HIS REMNANT WHO YET LOOK 2 HIM!  WHO WOULDN’T SERVE A GOD LIKE THIS? #SERIOUSLY!!

…because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened Romans 1:21

Therefore God also gave tem up to uncleanness, in the lusts of teir hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:24-25

 

Granted, you don’t hear a lotta preaching these days about this particular subject, nevertheless, TRUTHBTOLD, there is NO EXCUSE!

I know many have chosen to sugar-coat reality in an attempt to dismiss their personal obligation and responsibility, preferring to see themselves as victims of some mystical cosmic mishap, yet from the beginning of time, GOD has openly made GODSELF known to humanity. The Holy Scriptures announce that even ‘the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament displays His handiwork.’ (Ref. Psalm 19:1, Acts 14:15-17)!
Can we talk 4REAL 4REAL?

Our problem has never been that we don’t know the TRUTH, but as history has clearly disclosed, since mankind’s knowledge of God became perverted by the willfulness of rebellious flesh, humanity has been determined to oppose the Righteousness of God! As a result man’s heinous act of high treason, his God Consciousness has been severed, thereby losing contact with the true purpose of his existence!

Choosing to yield to the dictates of their heart’s fleshy lusts, instead of Glorifying God, they rejected Truth for a Lie!  Having created man with the power, ability and freedom of choice, God turned them over to pursue the vile passions and inevitable consequences of the insatiable deception,  idolatry and corruption, reaping the Wrath of their selfishness, uncleanliness, ingratitude and rebellion!

Only a fool denies the existence of GOD. (Ref. Psalm 14:1) Still too many, by failing to acknowledge Him as GOD, refuse to bow to His Majesty in their faithful obedient service,  and are determined to attain righteousness through their own understanding of good and acceptable behavior. And we all know how that turns out, huh?

While the godz of this world work relentlessly to distract us away from seeking a personal revelation of Our Loving Father, we must always remember, that our enemies can do absolutely nothing, except God allows! Hence, as The Good Shepherd safely guides us through the fires, floods and the storms of this life, these experiences allow us to gain a fresh insight into the height, length, dept and width of His Loving Kindness and the Sufficiency of His Grace to any who demonstrates personal trust in Him through a lifestyle of humility, loyalty and faithful obedience!

God has so wondrously fashioned each man with a GOD-SIZED VOID so that the ultimate fulfillment of life can only be consummated through his pursuit of intimacy with his Creator! Unfortunately only a few are driven to forsake the lure of this world’s glitz and glamour to tread the least traveled remote pathways to ETERNAL LIFE!

But every once in a while, a isolated sojourner catches a glimpse of The EVERLASTING LIGHT OF HOPE found ONLY in Christ Jesus, forsakes the ways of this ungodly world to lay hold of ETERNAL TRUTH,  establishing themselves firmly rooted and grounded in The Hands of  JESUS CHRIST, The Almighty King, who has Sovereignly summoned them, before the foundation of this world, as HIS BELOVED!

Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble. The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools. Proverbs 3:34-35

The heart of a fool is shapened by his continuous rejection of Godly Wisdom and Understanding and is committed to the ridicule of righteousness! God treats that man with contempt therefore bequeaths him the legacy of shame!

BUT GOD shall establish the humble, who refrain from wickedness, esteeming the soundness of Godly Wisdom with Understanding, with enduring riches of glory, honor, safety, discretion, inner peace and Eternal Life!

Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Prov. 13:15

ETERNAL TRUTHS!

 

The Lord GOD which gathers the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others yo him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yeah, all ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Yea, they are greedy dogs, which can never have enough, and they are shephers that cannot understand, they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant! Isaiah 56:8-12

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returned not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring for and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater.

So shall my word be tat goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 56:11-12

 

Thoughout the history of humanity, there have been those who deliberatey misinterpret the Plan of God, presuming a sense of special status in their relationship with The Lord. Doing this makes it easier for them to disqualify others based on a variety of differences! BUT JESUS came to broaden the scope of His Elect to include the downcast, rejected, foreigners and those castrated by the restrictions of the pompous self-engrandized arrangance of those intoxicated on the wealth of this world! Jesus’ sacrificial atoning death and resurrection stands as an everlasting sign of GOD’S POWER, LOVE AND MERCY, bringing freedom, joy and peace to those who have borne the grief and sorrows of afflictions of decades of captivity and dejection.

While some leaders have drifted away from a real understanding of God’s Will for humanity, choosing to remain mute persuing the path of furthering their own private interest and agendas, resisting any effort to help the weak and confused they plan great things for themselves while focusing on sleeping and drinking. TRUTHBTOLD, the consequences of God’s Sovereign Justice is an invasion of beasts and terror of foreign nations!

TRUST2KNO, GOD IS NOT MOCKED! WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT SHALL HE RECEIVE. IN OTHER WORDS, DON’T GET IT TWISTED; YOU HARVEST WHAT YOU SOW!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid, for YAH, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:2-3

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. Isa. 49:16

 

In light of  prevailing  gross darkness, devastation and desolation surrounding  our world today, it’s not uncommon that every now and then, even the most seasoned of God’s saints are driven to conclude, ‘Why even bother to hope, after all what’s the point”?  #Don’tshoutmedown, nah! Nonetheless! Instead of giving in to to despair, I was incited to review the words of God’s Prophet, Isaiah, speaking to the remnant of God’s Chosen nation.

While 21st Centry millennials are quick to refute the antiquated teachings of times long past as irrelevant, TRUTHBTOLD, the more things change, the more they stay the same! In other words, “THERE’S REALLY NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN!”

Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. 1 Corinthians 10:11

God’s people were facing eminent danger of massive destruction, yet we hear Isaiah offering a word of warning and a ray of hope that we’d do well to glean from today. 

The Prophet encourages them that no matter what’s happening around you, don’t be afraid, but keep trusting and praising our God!  Isaiah, knowing God inhabits the praises of His people, speaks to souls wearied by the consequences of unwise choices and those who are forced to endure circumstances which are beyond their ability to control, reminding them that their only hope of deliverance was to remain steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of their Lord! (Ref. 1 Corinthians 15:58)

REMEMBER! God is Holy, Righteous and Just! While He must punish the unjust, His Anger does not last forever! Unlike many of our earthly fathers, YAH is our Covenant-keeping God and remains a Faithful Father, Saving Strength, Shield, Provider and Redeemer to all who call upon Him! From His own Mouth, Abba Father promises to wipe away the tears from their faces and keep you in perfect peace because we trust in Him! (Ref. Isaiah 25:8, 26:3-4)

#DIDJAHEARDAT?

Beloved, when life is out of your control, rest assured, THERE’S NOT ONE MOMENT WHEN GOD IS NOT! JESUS IS ALWAYS IN ABSOLUTE CONTROL!

The Eternal Word IS FOREVER SETTLED IN HEAVEN! Jesus Himself testifies that you are the apple of His eye and He has tatooed your name in the palm of His Hands forever. (Ref. Psalm 17:8; Isa. 49:16)

In the midst of these unsettling times,  there’s no denying the myriad of  available distractions designed to cause even the most seasoned of saints to question whether or not The Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of All Life is REALLY concerned about what’s going on down here amongst the gross darkness of  this lost, unfaithful and rebellious world! Nevertheless, I adjure you to keep your eyes on Jesus, The Joy of your Salvation and your feet steadfast on THE WORD! Be confident of this very thing, HE THAT HAS BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU IS FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE IT UNTIL THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST! (Ref. Philippians 1:6)

Precious ones, when you can’t see no way, why not confuse hell and praiz JESUS ANYHOW! Don’tchaknow? At the mere mentioning of THE NAME OF JESUS demons tremble and the angelic host is put on alert!

Ooooh Yeah!  TRUST2KNO, The Great and Holy One of Israel is closer than ever before! Hence, don’t ever forget that YOUR GOD REMEMBERS!

It’s been acclaimed by some Biblical scholars, that we, the New Millennium 21st Century Church Age, are the generation destined to witness the fulfillment of End-Time Biblical Prophecy!

While I’m certainly not an expert of Eschatology, yet it’s no wide-stretch of the imagination, to speculate that we are INDEED living in times that try and even vex the very souls of the righteous! #CanIgetawitness?

Glancing through 2 Timothy 3:1-7’s description of the perilous times in the earth, it sounds distinctly-uncomfortably-familiar to us who are expectantly awaiting The Second Coming of our Lord, huh?

Much to Satan’s delight, Spirits of Terror, Fear, Apathy and Discouragement have crept into the minds and hearts of the people of God to such a degree that even ‘Seasoned-Saints’ are becoming weary in their well doing. Unfortunately, the wicked don’t appear to be showing any signs of fatigue!

May I submit these words of comfort and encouragement as a reminder to your soul today? “DON’T GET IT TWISTED! THE DEVIL AIN’T RUNNING NOTHING!!!

While it may appear as if this world’s falling apart, from God’s Perspective, EVERYTHING IS FALLING RIGHT IN PLACE!

As my GrandMa Annie used to say, “this world is not our home and I didn’t come here to stay!” We merely sojourning thru this land; ever mindful that GOD has reserved a special place which far exceeds anything we could dare imagine or hope for. That’s HEAVEN, YALL! 

Now I know the ol’ saints would tell ya, “Jus keep your mind on Jesus and He’ll Work it Out!” While this is certainly true, it’s also easier said than done, huh?  But God already knew that! That’s why He sent Holy Spirit to help us overcome our infirmities and empower us to do those things that seem impossible! Hence,  you belong to The Creator and Sustainer of ALL LIFE and since God is for you, it really doesn’t matter who’s against ya! #Didjaheardat? 

Much to the Satan’s dismay, therefore, be it RESOLVED Our Eternal God is yet seated on HIS Throne. HE has not nor will He ever relinquish one iota of HIS GLORY to anyone or anything!

Be it further RESOLVED, that absolutely Nothing that you’ve been thru, Nothing you’re going thru NOW should make you want to tuck tail and turn back to that life that you’ve been delivered from.

Beloved, don’t limit your expectations of Our Omnipotent God to your previous experiences! What God has for you is always in front of you! Trust God! Everything that God has planned for your future won’t even fit in your past! (Ref. Jeremiah 29:11-13) OOOOHHHH GGLLOORRRAAAA!!!

OH YEAH, B 4 U EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING UP…PLEASE CHECK THE BACK OF THE BOOK–YOU WIN! REMEMBER, NOW IS NOT ALWAYS—GREATER IS COMING!

O, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful. And fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage. And He shall strengten your heart, All you who hope in the LORD. PSALM 31:23-24

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who He is!  2 Timothy 2:13

TRUTHBTOLD, PAIN AND SUFFERING IS A PART OF THI# LIFE! However, those of us who have placed our personal faith in The loyalty of our Heavenly Father’s Love and commitment to preserve us thru times of hardship always have a reason to hope and trust that precariousness of these temporary times of adversity fail in comparison to the CERTAINTY of The God of Heaven’s deliverance!

Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I Am GOD, and there is no other! I have sworn by MYSELF; the Word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return… Isaiah 45:22-23

So since we’re out from under the old tyranny, does that mean we can live any old way we want? Since we’re free in the freedom of God, can we do anything that comes to mind? Hardly. You know well enough from your own experience that there are some acts of so-called freedom that destroy freedom. Offer yourselves to sin, for instance, and it’s your last free act. But offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you’ve let sin tell you what to do. But thank God you’ve started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom! Romans 6:15-18

#Didjaheardat? The ONE 2 whom you surrender the totality of your being to automatically becomes UR Sovereign Lord and Master! Don’t give sin a vote! Remember, there’s a high price 2 pay 4 low living!

 

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 KJV

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5

 

Never! Is probably the initial response of most professing-salvation-sanctified-sainted-souls, even at the mere suggestion that we’d be included in ‘those’. Right? BUT!  Have we ever considered the remote possibility, if you will, the collateral damage of being so pre-occupied with ‘getting’ that we lose sight of what God has already ‘given’?

Remember that Ol’ skool churrch song, “Count your blessing! Name them one by one! Count your blessing, see what God has done!”? Think about it? The Israelites were taught to sing songs that rehearsed their history as a daily reminder of God’s loving care, strength and power as He delivered them out of Egyptian slavery, lead them through the wilderness into The Promised Land! A practice, no doubt even in this bustling 21st Century culture, one might find tremendously buffering amidst the new norm of environmental chaos, anxiety and stress.

Just imagine the possible ramifications of a daily allotment of time designated specifically to reflecting upon all the many blessings that The Lord has already so mercifully and graciously heaped upon us. WOW! What inevitable–mind-blowing heart-filled  sense of Gratitude, huh?

Could this be what The Apostle Paul was alluding to “according to the power that worketh in us”? (Ref. Ephesians 3:20)

Could a grateful heart pave the way for that “Greater than” we could ask or imagine? Could our pre-disposed poverty-mindedness and perverted sense of unworthiness, steeped in false humility be denying God the opportunity to show-off in our lives? Could we be guilty of having a form of godliness? #OMG!  #GOD FORBID!

HOW GRATEFUL IS YOUR HEART? IS THAT HOW GREAT YOUR GOD IS? DENYING THE POWER? NEVER, huh? #juswondering…

GOD WILL COME THRU

And the redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord. Isaiah 59:20 KJV

Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, “God is there, ready to help, I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?” Hebrews 13:6 The Message

 

Ever heard them ol’ skool Mothers say, “God’s never late and hardly ever early”? Well, if that’s supposed to make waiting easier, let me assure you, it doesn’t! What about, “A delay is not a denial and a failure is not final”. Granted, these proverbial acclaimations may work in a 11 a.m. Sunday Morning Service, with the musicians crankin’, the praise team rockin’ it and the saints shoutin’! But! What about when you leave the sanctuary and get home alone, again; and the evil one starts bringing up all the reasons why you ain’t  gonna make it through this time! And what if the test results confirm _____; and what if you don’t get accepted; and what if  she did have an affair; whatcha gonna do if He does want a divorce? Hence, ‘Hey you, where’s your GOD NOW!’

The ol’ saints used to sing, “He Delivers, Praise the Lord, He Delivers, Praise the Lord, I was bound by the power of the devil, but HE delivered, Praise the Lord”! Well, let me tell you why they were able to sing those kinda songs. They didn’t have a lot of money at their disposal, so if they got sick they couldn’t afford a doctor. If they had more mouths than food they couldn’t just whip out their credit card at the grocery store. When their car broke down, they couldn’t take it to Mr. Bill’s Auto Shop. And if John Edward got locked up, they couldn’t afford no bail or private attorney!  But, they had a God to pray to! And you know what? They found Him to be an ‘ON TIME GOD!’

Having no other recourse, but to wait on da Lawdd, they resigned themselves to stand planted on The Rock of Ages, not wishin’ and a hopin’; but trusting in the Strength of God’s Love despite what it looked like!

Needless to say, this kind of faith is hard to find in this “busy-booming-High-Tech-don’t need nobody-DIY” generation. After all we have so many other options. Why pray and have to wait on GOD? 

Because He is God and we are not! God has deliberately designated each step and stop necessary to cultivate our realization that we are His Creation; created to fulfill His purpose and without Him we can do absolutely nothing. (Ref. John 15:5) But through His Guidance and Power, all things are possible! (Ref. Philippians 4:13)

Yes, we all experience times when it jus feels like God has turned His Face and given our enemy the nod to ‘walk right over our head’. Except, considering the ambiguity of our emotions, is it really wise to rely upon such in the crucial moments of a time-sensitive-crisis? Exactly? Bible-Faith is based on solely upon The Sure Foundation; The Word of God!

God knows sometimes our flesh becomes weary! That’s why He dispatched Holy Spirit to hover close while we’re waiting for Him to move! (Ref. Isaiah 40:31) The reason God is never in a hurry is because He knows just what it takes to perfect His Will and His Glory in your life. He swore by GOD-SELF to never abandon or give up on you! (Ref. Deut. 31:8) So, why would you ever give up on Him? Am I right, about it? #ijs

Stop trying to figure everything out. Keep trusting and keep expecting your deliverance at any moment! Trust and know that ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley low enough; Ain’t no river wide enough, TO KEEP GOD FROM GETTING 2 U! 

REMEMBER DAT! HE WILL ALWAYS COME THROUGH 4 YOU!
