ETERNAL TRUTHS!
Our wrongdoings pile up before you, God, our sins stand up and accuse us. Our wrongdoings stare us down; we know in detail what we’ve done; Mocking and denying GOD; not following our God, Spreading false rumors, inciting sedition, pregnant with lies, muttering malice. Justice is beaten back, Righteousness is banished to the sidelines, Truth staggers down the street, Honesty is nowhere to be found, Good is missing in action.
Anyone renouncing evil is beaten and robbed.
GOD looked and saw evil looming on the horizon–so much evil and no sign of Justice. He couldn’t believe what he saw; not a soul around to correct this awful situation, So he did it HIMSELF, took the work of Salvation, fueled by His own Righteousness. He dressed in Righteousness, put it on like a suit of armor, with Salvation on His head like a helmet, Put on Judgment like an overcoat, and thew a cloak of Passion across His shoulders. Isaiah 59:12-17 THE MESSAGE
Finally, the people of God are forced to acknowledge the severity of their situation! Their continuous disregard for aligning their lives according to the Righteous Commands of The Creator and Sustainer of Life has been rewarded by absolute distress! Even more depressing is the reality that they’re utterly powerless to resolve their dilemma! However, what they don’t know is that GOD KNEW! Our failures never take God by surprise. In fact, HE EXPECTS EXACTLY THAT!
Beloved, God never intends for us to live our lives independent of His Mercy and Grace! Yet, He is constrained by Himself to wait patiently for us to come to the end of ‘self’, acknowledge that we need HIS HELP because ‘self help is no help at all’! (Ref. John 15:5)
Yes, there’s an innate tendency for man to chart his course to a self-determined destiny! HOWEVRRR, rarely do our presumptuous plans for prosperity and success take into account the unexpected tricky terrains, the painful puncture from thorns of deception, denial and disappointment or the pernicious pitfalls of betrayal, denial, devastating diseases, rejection or the paralyzing fear of failure! Don’t shout me down nah!
BUT GOD DOES! TRUTHBTOLD, we’ll never get to THAT place we think we’re going, accomplish the things we crave or attain the rest and wholeness we aspire WITHOUT GOD’S HELP. However dire our circumstances, we are never HOPELESS, if our faith is rooted and grounded in the Integral Character of God’s Righteousness and Salvation! Unlike mere mortals, GOD’S PERFECT LOVE REMAINS CONSTANT AND FAITHFUL!
All who humbly repent of their sin and seek Him in Spirit and Truth will find Him to be a CERTAIN REDEEMER! BUT THOSE WHO ARE BENT ON REBELLION against GOD’s RIGHTEOUS AUTHORITY, will experience the wrath of His Rejection and bare the reward of His HOLY JUSTICE!
