We are excited and grateful that you’ve joined us once again in our Thursdays’ Corporate Fasting and Prayer! We’re eternally thankful to our Father, God for give us one more day to embrace and enjoy the Wonders of His Glory! We rejoice in The Hope that His Eyes are watching and His Ears are attentive to hear and intervene on our behalf as we enter into His Courts with praise and thanksgiving for You Alone are The Source of all everything that we will ever need in this life and the life to come!

O Come let us kneel before our Maker, as we acknowledge that we’re bowing before A GREAT GOD, The GOD above all gods; The King of kings and Lord of lords! We cry out, Abba Fathers, we come to The Ancient of Days, The Creator and Sustainer of every living creature…

 

Abba Father, we bless You for this new day, overflowing with Fresh Mercy and Grace to preserve us through any and every challenge that You allow to befall us today. We Thank You for Your inseparable Lovingkindness that continues to look beyond the iniquities of our frail, faulty and the fickleness of our fleshy frame and to forgive us for every sin that we do, speak or think that violates Your Holy Kingdom Commandments! As we confess our sins before You, we thank You now for this undeserved favor that we have inherited through The Sacrificial Atoning Blood of Your First-Begotten Son that gives us a new heart and mind to surrender our lives to You!
Heavenly Father, we come, humbled, yet boldly in agreement with Your Kingdom Authority, recognizing that we’re living in the last of the last days and that while the enemy of our souls has launched a full-fledged attack against The Body of Christ and The Name of Jesus we know that You have sworn by God-Self to never leave nor forsake us!

Therefore, Father, we thank You for the antidote that allows all those who love You and Your Ways, having no other mind, to stand steadfast, immovable always abounding in Your Will and Your Word! We thank You for the honor and privilege afforded us as You teach us to war against the Satanic hosts, to come before You, earnestly seeking Your Presence and finding Help and Hope to overcome every weapon that’s formed against us! For You O Lord are The Rock of our Salvation, and there’s nothing too hard for OUR GOD!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we come warring in the Spirit of Worship, thanking You for leading and guiding us, for You are our Great High Priest, and even when we don’t know what or how to pray, You intervene on our behalf, interpreting every moan and the groanings of our hearts today and presenting it to our Father!

Precious Lord, You , our Omniscient God, know everything about us! You know the battles that we’re facing, not just in our physical bodies but even in our minds! We ask that You rebuke the Spirits of overwhelming fear, confusion, frustration, intimidation and condemnation that are enticing Your people to draw-back from the purpose, plan and things of God! We release The Blessing of God into the lives of Your people who are fainting even perishing for lack of vision. We speak deliverance from every opposing spirit and we declare victory over every storm raging in our lives, as we put the enemy under our feet and stand in our rightful place as Children of Light, in Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

We rebuke every spirit that keeps your people shackled and cowardly silenced by the cares of this world. We pray against spirits of distractions, ungodly soul-ties, discords, divisions, illicit relationships, adulterous relationships and we resist the enemy’s power to hold Your people incarcerated and paralyzed in failure and defeat! Therefore we declare and decree that chains are being broken now as You are opening the door of escape in the Spirit, in Jesus Name! IT IS SO!

Abba Father, forgive us for failing in your Great Commission as we’ve become lackadaisical in our obligation, responsibility and yes, even our desire to plead for souls! Help Your church to remember that Jesus died for souls! Father we pray for the lost who have yet to receive Your Grace-filled Salvation! We ask that You quicken their hearts with a Spirit of Godly-Repentance allowing them to cry out to You for Salvation today! We pray for the backsliders who have for whatever reason, turned away from The Only Savior and left the Ark of Your Grace! Father, put a fresh “COMMITED YES” in their hearts and minds today, lead them back to the Altar and restore them back to Righteousness in Christ Jesus!

Father, please forgive us for succumbing to the culture of this world and allowing it to infiltrate the Church causing us to lust and store up the treasures of this world, the money, cars, houses, land, designer clothes, shoes, the latest electronic devices, hence, longing for the power, prestige and praises and approval of men, rather than focusing on establishing Your Kingdom in the earth!

Father, as our Good Shepherd, You instructed us to “Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God and all these other things would be added to us” We know that it brings pleasure to Your Heart that Your children prosper and be in good health, especially our souls! You promised that if we would faithfully walk upright before You, no good thing would be withheld from us!

Holy Father, we thank You for being Jehovah Rophe, The Lord our Healer therefore, as we lift up all who are being afflicted by physical diseases, spiritual and mental dis-eases! According to Your delegated Power and Authority, to declare and decree a thing according to Your Word and it has to come to past, in The Name of Jesus, we therefore rebuke, quarantine, bind and cast-out pancreatic, throat, breast, lung, liver, kidney, blood , brain, colon, bladder, uterus, rectal, stomach cancer, and confine it under The Blood of JESUS NOW! We RELEASE healing, wholeness, deliverance, quick and immediate recovery in The Holy Ghost, to hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation and dialysis centers, operating rooms, chemotherapy and psychiatric wards and prisons!
We’re believing that even as You walked in this earth healing all who were sick, feeble, lame we know that You’re still Well Able to do the same right now! Lord Jesus, Your Word declares that by Your stripes we have been redeemed and healed and we’re yet standing on Your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we thank You for moving in our situations, doctor reports, court cases, employment issues and turning them around! We come against unsettled minds and according to Your Word, as we bring them to You in prayer and supplications with Thanksgiving, making everything known to You, we have the courageous confidence that everything that the enemy meant for evil, You are making it turn around for our highest good and Your Greatest Glory even before we see it manifested! We Shout HALLELUJAH!!!

Precious Jesus, hear us as we’re praying for our families, our secular and religious leaders. We intercede on behalf of all those who have submitted their lives, determined to Let the Kingdom of Heaven reign in and thru their lives and their ministries! We pray that they will speakTruth to edify and not words of deception in order to manipulate your people! We send the Word of God to their spirits now, anointing them and breaking every fetter that would captivate or hinder them. We speak a Spirit of Freedom, in The Holy Ghost, to those who are discouraged, discontent, fainthearted by worry and wearied in well-doing! We speak deliverance to every wounded spirit, troubled tormented minds, those that would entertain demonic enduced thoughts of suicide and murder, that desire to overtake our young people! My brother, my sista be Ye lifted up! Every hung-down head be Ye lifted up and receive an inner revelation of who and Whose they are in Christ Jesus!
Abba Father, we lift our children and our young people as they return to day-care facilities, elementary, middle/high schools, college campuses and we declare over them, as the carriers of  Your Magnificence and Glory, that they are saved, sanctified, walking free of fear and anxiety for their lives and personal safety. We rebuke the bullying spirits! We pray that our children will be equipped with keen discernment and will be able to recognize what it of You and what is of Satan! We thank You for the gifts of the Spirit that You have deposited within them, and that they shall be encouraged and utilized as You make room for them! Father, we pray that You keep their hearts and minds in perfect peace, let them be filled with hope for a awesome future that You have purposed for their lives while they were hidden in their Mothers’ wombs!
Sweet Holy Spirit, as we commit them into Your Providential care, realizing that You have a plan and purpose for their lives too., we have the Blessed Assurance that their steps are being ordered by Your eyes! Therefore we speak The Peace of God over their spirits, minds and bodies releasing a spirit of Love, Holiness and Excellence to fulfill their God ordained destiny! We cover them in The Blood-Stained Banner of Your Love even as we speak Salvation, Deliverance, Excellence and Prosperity over their lives! We command the Blessings of God to follow them wherever they go!
We pray for the grieving parents who lost their children to senseless violence! We ask that You comfort their hearts and minds, rebuke guilt, shame, doubt and regret for decisions that we might’ve made in their past concerning their children! We ask that You send a Spirit of Confident Assurance that as You graciously allow each of us to grow from Faith to Faith and Grace to Grace, our knowledge of You is enlarged enabling us to be transformed by the renewing our minds, proving what is that good, acceptable and perfect Will of God for our lives! And for this cause we Thank You Lord Jesus!
We pray for the leaders of this nation and the world. Lord, we ask that You touch those who don’t know You, fear nor regard You as Lord! Break up the fallow ground, prick their stony arrogant hearts with a spirit of humility that allows them to hear Your Voice even as You speak to them in dreams and visions! Cast down the spirit of high-mindedness, self-righteousness, carnality and pride! Let them come running to You, repenting and asking forgiveness, and seeking You for personal Salvation!

Precious Lord, we also lift up every family whose lives have been affected by Hurricane Dorian’s destructive path. We thank you for comforting the hearts and minds of all who’ve lost loved ones, homes, churches, jobs, transportation and even Hope! We ask that You release strength, courage, finances, favor and confidence that You are GOD who is able to restore everything needed to sustain our lives, according to Your Riches in Glory! We speak perfect peace that passes all understanding and unspeakable joy into their lives NOW IN JESUS NAME! AMEN 3X!

Father, as always, we recognize that there’s so much more that we should ask, but we are trusting that Holy Spirit is yet stirring up the hearts and minds of those who are professing Your Name to pray without ceasing! We ask that You release upon our hearts, an ever-burning desire for an even greater personal, intimate relationship through fellowship with Holy Spirit, that we might prove what is the perfect and acceptable Will of The Lord Jesus!

Lord Jesus, we Your children, the apple of Your Eye, await Your Salvation, in patient confidence and quietness, rejoicing in hope and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling, suddenly departing in shameful defeat, recognizing that You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne, therefore we’re trusting that we shall inherit the Promises of GOD!

Abba Father, because You have Sovereignly chosen and drawn us near to dwell safety and secure in Your House Eternally, we rejoice in thanksgiving, as we align our spirits, soul and body with You Eternal Word! We bow in obedient reverence before The Hope of all the earth, believing that as Your face shines upon us that, You are making Your Ways and Salvation known among all nations!

We delight ourselves in You, The Eternal Father, Who Guides and Rules Justly, believing that according to Your Appointed Time…IT IS ALREADY DONE! In The Exalted Name of Jesus we offer up this prayer, Sealed in The Holy Ghost with a HOLY Alleleujah! Amen 3X!

IT’S THE GOD IN ME!

ITZ THE GOD IN ME

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know Him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17

 

Looking back through the lenses of 21st Century influence, we see that since the birth of The New Testament Church it has been plagued with  external and  interal controversy!  While most Biblical scholars agree that the Church was born on The Day of Pentecost, generally that’s where the consensus begins and ends.

According to The Scriptures, The Risen Savior showed Himself to His disciples, who were still reeling from the horrific events that had just taken place, and instructed them “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptised with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit”. Acts 1:4-5

God knew how much the disciples had come to rely upon Jesus’s Presence during the past 3 ½ years He’d walked with them, teaching, guiding and protecting them but now at Christ’s Ascension, would fall victim to their fears, confusion and discouragement!  Although, Jesus had on numerous occasions assured them that He would not leave them without Divine Assistance, but promised to send them another Comforter in the person of Holy Spirit to empower them to complete their assignment to spread The Message of Christ throughout the whole world–this revelation seems to have escaped them in the ensuing threat of impending persecution!

What is this PROMISE?  The Holy Spirit is known as the third person of The Triune God! While The Holy Spirit functions differently from God The Father and God The Son, He is reverenced as equal in Holiness in The God-Head!

Beloved, as a believer in The Saving Grace of Lord Jesus, God has given us the very samePromise. The moment we make a sincere profession of faith, The Holy Spirit moves into our hearts and fills us with hope, conviction and confidence that we are now a part of God’s Family, a Royal-Priesthood, a Holy Nation! (Ref. 1 Peter 2:9)

However, this is only the beginning! Along with this regeneration (the new birth) comes a challenge and a charge! As a born-again-blood-washed Child of The Kingdom, we are called to be ambassadors of our King to a lost and dying world! Therefore, we also need to be filled and empowered with the enabling Grace and Authority of the indwelling Spirit of Jesus in order to do The Father’s Will and glorify Him in the earth! C’mon nah, don’t shout me down!

Just as the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples in the Upper Room, God wants each of us to experience this same anointing! (Ref. 2:1-4) Unfortunately, NOT EVERYONE accepts this spectacular gift that God promised to as many who would receive Him! Yet, this does not preclude any one from partaking of the fullfilment of The Promise! (Ref. Mark 7:13)

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…” Acts 2:17 

While it’s not my intention to persuade any away from their affirmation, as Martin Luther, “I cannot in good consciousience deny my own personal experience!” Therefore, I can stand firmly fixed in humily with adoration proclaiming, ‘There is absolutely no doubt in my heart nor mind, that any good that I do, any wisdom that I have, any knowledge that I’ve gained, any challenge that I’ve overcome over these past 30 years of walking in Christ, is a direct result of ‘The God in me’!

There is no way for mere man to live the HOLY abundant life as prescribed in The Word without the counsel, guidance, and help  of the indwelling navigation of Holy Spirit! And isn’t that what God expects of all of us? Revolutionary, huh?

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (Colossians 1:27)

WOW!  IF YOU SUPPLY THE SACRIFICE, HE SUPPLIES THE FIRE! IT’S ALL GOD IN US!

What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. Psalm 116:12-13

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

 

I’m not trying to start nuffin, BUT! Have you noticed that ‘hoof-n-mouth disease’ has reached pandemic proportions amongst so many church-folkes? #ijs

Perhaps that’s why other folk seem to so easily tell you what you should do in any given situation, ‘Because if it were me, I’d _____!” Someone once said, unless you walk in another man’s shoes, you’ll never appreciate the depth and weight of each footprint. Okay, I just made that one up, k? However, the point is, unless you personally experience each moment in every episode of that person’s journey, (which is virtually impossible) not from the perspective of a spectator, but as the starring participant, you can sympathize but not really empathize with them!

Even more perplexing is how long we struggle with submission to the commandments of The Only Savior as Lord of our lives! Could it be that we can never fully understand the passion of Jesus that caused Him, after being shamelessly mocked, brutally beaten, scorned and scourged all night then jokedly crowned with thorns, to make His way up Golgotha’s Hill, carrying that Ol’ Rugged Cross where His hands and feet were nailed, crucified for what you and I would do? Didjaheardat? #braintilt!

Awemazingly, the scriptures reveal that it was the Heavenly Father’s pleasure to see Jesus endure every second of this crushing death. (Ref. Isaiah 53:10)

Ever since the Garden of Eden, there are somethings that God never intended us to know. Why? Because He loves us too much to jus sit back and allow the fatality of sin to run it’s course, separating us from Him eternally? But, but? I know, that makes no sense at all!

We forget that His Thoughts are infinitely higher than ours and His Ways are incalculably above and beyond humanity’s limited capacity of understanding. (Ref. Isaiah 55:9) Astonishingly, Jesus agreed to this before the foundation of the world, and while we were yet sinners! (Ref.Romans 5:8) The Life dying in order for the dead to live? WOW! That’s Grace, huh?

According to Romans 12:1-2, all that God expects for so great a Salvation is for us to live out everyday, blessed, trusting in Him, as beaming reflections of His Love and Glory to a lost and dying world! Unfortunately, yet still many reckon that more than they are willing to give! (Ref. Luke 18:18-24)

However, there’s a remnant of believers who’ve sold out for the sake of The Cross and are gratefully committed to sacrifice their all to see more souls come into The Glorious Kingdom of God!

What shall U render? Well…HOW MUCH DO U OWE? #countupthecost

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5

 

Anyone that knows me, already know, if they ever wanna win a card game, don’t pick Ann as a partner. The only game that I evrrr remember having a remote chance of winning was “Go Fish” or “I Declare War”! Uuum, maybe God was trying to tell me something, huh?

Anyhow, I took the liberty of Googling what ‘A Full House’ meant and ascertained that “Any three cards of the same rank together with any two cards of the same rank. However, “Aces full of Kings” is a bigger full house than “Kings full of Aces.” Evidently, when comparing full houses, the rank of the three cards determines which is higher, huh? Oh well, as you’ve probably already surmised, none of that means a hill of beans to me because Mama said ‘scarred money never wins’ and SINCE my money was terrified!  #gotit? Therefore, I ‘d better stick to what I’m best suited for, huh? Catching souls and slamming demons!

According to the historical Eastern culture tradition, The Bedouin Law of Hospitality, when a host wanted to let his guest know that he was truly welcomed and that in his house there was plenty to accommodate the comfort and happiness to his guest, he’d ask the guest to lift up his cup and the host would pour the wine into it, and keep on pouring wine until it overflowed and spilled out onto the carpeted banquet floor. The guest would then know that he was doubly honored and abundantly welcomed!

As part of this hospitality, guests would also be anointed with oil, so that their robes emanated a delightful fragrance, indicating that the host would anoint his honored guest, not sparingly but to the extent that their heads would glisten in the candle-lights! Failure to do this was recognized as a deliberate rebuff and insult! WOW!

Now I get that this might be difficult for most of us westerners to comprehend, given the fact that for the most part, hospitality has become a lost art! #ijs!!! However, thankfully, with God, it’s a tradition that shall never go out of style.  Our Heavenly Father’s  Benevolence is exuberantly extravagant! He lavishes His gifts upon all who will embrace His Gracious Loving-kindness with up-stretched hands and open hearts, anxiously awaiting His unending ever-flowing river of compassionate providential care!

In the Scriptures, oil is a figure of God The Holy Spirit. While it’s the mission of our arch-enemy, Satan, to suppress the Children of God, enslaving you in small places, confining us to poverty, lack and diminished hope, joy and peace, The Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf, ushering you into large lands flooded with showers of blessings! (Ref. John 10:10)

Needless to say, faith in Christ does not exempt believers from experiencing trying times of tearful sorrow, being wearied by disappointment and enduring dishonor and rejection of shameful lies! Nevertheless, we’re yet able to rejoice as The Spirit of God infuses our soul with joy and gladness, grace upon grace, love without measure and peace beyond understanding!

Beloved, God is not content with your being satisfied with just enough! He’s The King of kings and Lord of lords! Therefore as His Heritage, He’s chosen to give us more than we could ask or think! (Ref. Ephesians 3:20)  Didjaheardat card jus hit da table? #BAMM Amazing, huh?

Our Great Shepherd invites you to be seated at the table He has prepared today, making a public announcement to your enemies—‘don’t even try it,’ lifting His cup over your head, signifying that as His honored guest, you’re not just getting leftovers, but you’ve got the keys to the whole house to enjoy the finest of provisions!  #BOOM

Hence, TRUST2KNO, your God delights in running your cup over so that you can’t contain the blessings, and will be able to share with others so that His Grace is reaching more and more people, multiplying praises with thanksgiving from grateful hearts to overflow to the Glory of God. (Ref. 2 Corinthians 4:15) 

Well, whatcha say?

“HERE’S MY CUP LORD, I LIFT IT UP, COME AND QUENCH THE THIRSTING OF MY SOUL!” …DRINK UP!  NOW DATZ A FULL HOUSE!

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the world of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
  

Okay, so…just about everybody’s a ‘Christian’ now, huh?  Does kinda make you wonder, why Jesus hasn’t come back for the Church! But that’s none of my business! #ijs

My oh my, do we just love to congregate behind the four walls of the sanctuary. And yall know how much we love to testify and prophet-lie amongst like-minded-kindred- spirits! 
 
But, who’s responsible for taking this marvelous revelation out into the streets?Remember, the world—is not our enemy—it’s God’s Harvest, right?
 
“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)
 
NO, SERIOUSLY…GOT JESUS? 
 
SHARE JESUS? 
 
IF NOT YOU, THEN WHO?
 
IF NOT NOW… THEN …WHEN?

Jus wondering, who’s gonna be in heaven bcuz you cared enough to share your faith in Jesus Christ?  …WOW!

Who’s going to end up in the devil’s eternal hell, bcuz you didn’t dare to share The Truth? OMG!

I STILL BELIEVE

“And he believed in the lord, and he counted it to him for righteousness”. (Genesis 15:6)

Noticed how the gods of this world constantly bombard our minds with unhealthy doses of supposedly new truths explicitly designed to attack the validity of our hope and core of our Christian beliefs? Don’t be alarmed. The Scriptures said that there’d be days like this!

Ever heard a New Millennium televangelists shun the old hymns of yesterday saying that they’re scripturally inaccurate, inappropriate and therefore no longer relevant to the New Testament Church?

Well! I beg to differ! In case you haven’t realized yet, I am unapologetically ol skool, and I say it’s time to pull some of those old songs out from the bottom of that old piano bench and put them on blast. Particularly, that one that says, ‘I know the Bible is right, somebody’s wrong’!

What these 21st Century Johnny-come-lately’s, fail to take into account is that them old saints were not performing for BET or Stellar Awards! They didn’t come to church to be entertained nor to excite your flesh. But they sang songs birthed out in the heat of personal experiences, tempered in The Word of God and seasoned by The Holy Spirit! When they sang, their songs struck your heart strings, re-affirmed their faith and ushered in The Very Presence and Power of the True and the Living God.

Today, if you need a song to lift you, strengthen and encourage you along the way, might I suggest “Lord, I believe, Lord, I believe…ALL things are possible if you only believe!” And if that doesn’t ignite your flame, try following it with one of my Pastor’s favorite, “You Can’t Make Me Doubt Him”!

When the world says, “I’ll believe it when I see it” the saints believe to see!

Facts change but Truth is forever! Remember what they said about the planet Pluto? Yeah, right! Like Mother Carter used to say, “Everything is going down–but the Word of God!”

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but Jesus Never Fails!

The question yet remains; “Whose report, will you believe?”

As for me, I don’t care what the infamous “they” say, I shall believe The Report of The Lord!

In the face of any and every thing that appears to contradict your faith, yet stand—firmly convicted, to emphatically confess ‘come what may, I STILL BELIEVE GOD!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

For the commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into the heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it, and do it?’ But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Deuteronomy 30:11-14

 

Who in this world would wanna make God’s Grace soooo complicated and difficult to acceptt? Dat lying devil, of course!  The last thing Satan wants a lost sinner to recognize is that God is the ONE who initiated Salvation IN THE 1ST PLACE and makes it available to all who will repent and return to The Maker of Heaven and Earth!  Appealing to the SIN that so easily besets us, ‘PRIDE’, Satan  manipulates our thoughts, enticing the lusts of our flesh to do those things which are unseemly, then slams the door condeming us to fear, doubt and utimate, logical, justifiable terminal  self-rejecting eternal damnation!

Uuuuummmm? So what exactly was Moses saying?  

Moses, God’s appointed Covenant Mediator, was telling God’s Chosen nation that God, knowing the inadeqacy of human’s frame, has always planned to restore His  wayward children back into right-relationship to Godself, independent of our  puny efforts to warrant such Wonderous Gift of Love!  

“And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendents, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.”…For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book. “(Detuteronomy 30:6, 9b-10)

This is the core of  every true Gospel preaching! It’s encouraging diligent seeker to say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”! Hence, embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what He did in raising Jesus from the dead.  That’s it!  #didjaheardat?   

You’re not “doing” anything!  By simply calling out to God from a grateful and sincere heart, you’re trusting Him to do it for you. With your whole being you embrace God’s Mercy, setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between Him and me!” That’s  the essence of SALVATION, yall!  

The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us and IN US!

Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.” It’s exactly the same no matter what  your religious affiliation may be! When any soul is depending solely upon The Cross of Jesus,  we receive all the benefits of the same God for all of us! God is no respecter of person! He demonstrates the same incredible generosity to everyone who crys out for help. “Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!’ gets help.”Romans 10:13 THE MESSAGE  

AWEMAZING, huh?

GOD doesn’t bumrush HIS WAY in and crash your party, but Graciously awaits HIS Personal Invitation from YOUR heart to HIS heart!

Is GOD welcome in your house?  Is GOD welcome in your LIFE? Have you invited THE SAVIOR into your heart?

Your  SALVATION is as close to YOU as your TRUSTING heart’s cry!

WOW! We’ve come a long way, Baby!

As far as the ingathering of information and the major technological accomplishments attained by this 21st Century New Millennium Age is concerned, undoubtedly, we’ve taken quantum leaps exceedingly well beyond the realm of possibility to even the most esteemed intellectuals and astute scientific calculus of days gone by.

In other words, (sigh)! It’s safe to say that knowledge abounds!

Unfortunately, the scarcity of wit, wisdom and truth is decisively profound! Generally the appeal for this degree of understanding is left to those few famished, disillusioned, disinfranchised, exhausted, wayfaring scavengers who wander off rush-hour-grid-locked-getting-byways and highways to worldly success and traditional religious rituals. For reasons, yet unknown, somehow some of us are being distinctly drawn to the under-passes, service roads, and trenches; seeking the hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places of The Kingdom of His Presence! (Ref. Isaiah 45:3)

Who knew that we’d be called to the Kingdom for such a time as this? Who knew that before we lived one day that our Master already had a plan, purpose,  and a hope-filled destination for our lives?

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Proverbs 25:2

Wisdom is calling!

“But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me. O Israel” Isaiah 43:22

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” 1Timothy 6:6-8

“Congratulations! You finally got what you wanted, BUT… lost what you had”!

I can only imagine what’s going on in the mind and heart of Elohim gazing down the the portals of time from Eternity, seeing the massive gathering of Sunday Morning worshipers.

Look at us, over there we’re suited down in our St. Johns and over here in our Sean Johns. Got our weaves looking fresh jus like dat and our hair perfectly trimmed tight. Etienne Aigner shoes and our New York Yankees designer hats neatly tucked under the pews, just in case the person next to us gets a bit too unruly.

Once the policeman re-directed the traffic to turn left (because the parking lot was already filled to its capacity) finally, we’re glad to be seated in our favorite row. The stage is set! The sound-man gives the nod, the lighting is in sync with the Minister of Music and the Choreographer has gotten the attention of the Liturgical Dancers, we’re ready! Let’s Get It Done…BAMM!

Not so fast! I see ‘yall’, BUT where’s ‘The Glory’? Where are the God-Seekers? Who’s actually among us here to Honor HIM?

“What’s up with you asking us these kinds of questions? How could you miss HIM? Didn’t you see all those fine automobiles parked outside of this grandiose sanctuary? I bet if you tallied up the cost that was spent at the hair salons this week, you’d probably could buy a small nation. And you know the price for an authentic custom-tailored suit these days ain’t cheap, given inflation. Not to mention the small fortune the church puts out to fuel up our Pastor’s jet. You got some nerve asking about GOD! Obviously GOD has been good to us!”

Okay! Granted, you got a whole lot of stuff going on. You can afford to sit back on your laurels proudly contented and cozy, belly full and satisfied, enjoying the fruit of your successful accomplishments, and resting in the warm of your own fire. Man! that’s the life that God promised us or is it?

When was the last time you actually talked to The God you claim to belong to and serve? Did you even thank HIM for waking you up this morning, giving you the strength to get up (under your own volition) and the mind to brush your teeth with a toothbrush and not a hair brush? Have you really forgotten that there was a time when going to church on a Sunday morning never crossed you mind and the only cross you carried was dangling from your rear view mirror as a token protector for you and your property? Remember when the only word you read with any consistency was your horoscope?

Yeah, Buddy! What a life!

And you call those folk—who just can’t wait to get to Church, not just on Sunday mornings, but Bible Study, prayer meetings, whatever and whenever the doors of the church are open, they gotta be in The House, in fellowship with like-minded spirits after being amidst a bunch of God-Haters all week/day long, we who are desperate for the times of refreshment found only in the Presence of The Lord—out of touch with reality! REALLY?

Come, let’s reason this thing out together.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130 

Back in my B.C. (before Christ) days, I met this very special lady. Subsequently, Ms. Annette and I grew as close as two peas in a pod. Whoever coined the phrase “a little bit of country and a little bit of rock n’ roll” had to have met my friend “Anna” (self-identification of her alter-ego). By day, Ms. Annette was a successful-sophisticated-know-her-stuff-RN. BUT! By nite, that Hattiesburg-Mississippi-Black Water-Country-Ebonic-Talk’n-parta’-down-like it was 1999-Anna would emerge! And guess who would try to hang-out right with her? Exactly!

Evrrrr noticed, that if you spend a lot of time around someone you admire, who happens to have a strangely-peculiar personality, the strangely-peculiar affect they tend to have on you? Startlingly, without my consciousness (until my kids so happily pointed out) my conversation conspicuously became sporadically seasoned with some of the same words, same dialect and same mannerisms as my friend. Obviously, a little bit of “Anna” had rubbed off on me!

It works the exact same way when it comes to strengthening your personal relationship with God!

As believers, the Father’s Plan is to mold us into the image of Jesus. The moment you are born again, Holy Spirit begins the process of Supernatural Empowered Transformation of our spirit until it looks just like Him. Spiritually, you were instantly changed on the inside; however the progression of outward change depends largely upon us.

The amount of time spent pursuing things of the Spirit correlates directly to our spiritual growth and development. If most of your time is spent satisfying the lustful desires of your flesh, inevitably your spiritual growth will be stunted! #ijs However, as you begin to separate yourself apart from the worldly things of life and dedicate more time to studying The Word of God, mounting habitual alone-time with Him, The Holy Spirit will ecstatically teach, guide and share Christ-Likeness with you. He’s gonna rub off on you until His ways become your ways!

The more readily you yield the more of you to Him, abiding in His Presence in prayer, meditating in His Word and surrending yourself in worship, you will be absolutely amazed at the miraculous change that will take place on the inside and out! I’m telling you, personally, you’ll hardly recognize that new man in the mirror! Seriously!!!

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Isaiah 60:1 #Didjaheardat?

Ohh, by the way, guess who introduced me to Jesus Christ? Yep, Anna! THANKYA JESUS!
