SELAH Daily Devotions!

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. Isaiah 25:4

He will swallow up death in victory, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth, for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us; this is the LORD, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his Salvation. Isaiah 26:8-9

Can we talk, 4REAL? Sometimes, even the most seasoned of saints struggle to keep an uncontaminated  perspective when it comes to the prosperity of the wicked. According to our text, once again Isaiah, looking through trouble, is forced to reject all that his natural eyes saw and with earnest expectation, clings to the unseen Spiritual Reality of what he knew about God!

Aren’t you glad that God did not exclude these perplexing moments that are relative to all humanity that we might glean hope and encouragement? Otherwise, left to our own reckoning, we jus might accuse God of being unfaithful, huh?

All of us understand, (on some level) that God rains on the just and the unjust and that Salvation doesn’t exclude us from facing challenges! Nevertheless, sometimes it’s extremely difficult to rationalize why God would waste one iota of His Amazing Grace on those who blatantly defy His Sovereignty by their disobedience and ain’t living a lick of nuffin that would glorify Him seem to be living high on the hog, while those of us who daily strive diligently  to do those things that pleases the One Who has rescued and redeemed us from the Curse of Eternal Destruction seem to suffer the hardest and longest!  C’mon nah. #ijs!

However, a closer examination of The Holy Writ reminds us that it ain’t always what it looks like! Yes, every man that is born into the earth is destined to face trouble, but don’t get it twisted, there’s yet an appointed time of reckoning for everyone of us when The Righteous Judge will reward each one according to the deeds that are done in our lives. Isaiah 24:21-22 says, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the cost of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.”

Jus when it appears that our whole world is turning upside down, God steps in to turn everything right side up! We must learn to take GOD at His Word, despite of all the circumstantial evidence. Remember, ALL THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD, NOT OUR BAD!

While we all shall experience tests, trials and trauma, be confident of this very thing, trouble won’t last ALWAYS!  Those who name The Name of Jesus, have a HOPE that transcends beyond this world. As we continue to wait expectantly, holding to God’s Unchanging Hand, we shall live to see that He Who Promised to be strength to the poor and strength to the needy in times of distress, is also a refuge from the storm and a shadow from the heat!

At any moment, those who sneer at the faithful-obedient who remain steadfast, trusting wholly in God’s Unrelenting Love, will look helplessly at the Unstoppable Supernatural Intervention of  Jehovah, our Protector and Provider! REST ASSURED, THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL BE VINDICATED!

BELOVED, TRUST2KNO, the rejoicing of the once powerful-self-proclaimed rulers and authorities will be silenced by The Victory Songs of The Almighty Lord’s Unfailing Righteousness!
