TRUSTING SILENCE

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matthew 27:46

 

I would never presume to speak for every believer, this is just me, okay? One of the most difficult challenges for me to master is trusting God when Heaven goes mute! Not only does this create anxiety, stress and discouragement, but the doubt, confusion and sense of abandonment becomes a personal virtual hell. And no, I am not a babe-in-Christ, but I’d consider myself to be a reasonably seasoned-saint! #ijs

Our spirit man knows quite well that God answers all of our prayers in one of three ways. Yes, No or Not Now, right? Nevertheless the carnal mind could care less! Can I get a witness? Flesh  wants immediate gratification. ‘I did what You told me, I asked, seeked and knocked; but I guess the answer must’ve got lost in the mail or  perhaps You’re too busy managing the world to be concerned about what’s concerning me, huh?’ Now don’t look at me with that tone of voice, surely I’m not the only one to concede to the Tempter’s situational analysis!

In all of scripture, these feelings of abandonment is never more profound than at the words uttered from the mouth of our Savior hanging on The Cross… and God is silent! And while there is no record of God’s answer in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, or Luke, the Passion story does not end with our Lord’s despairing cry. In Psalm 22, God’s affirming Love and Grace encourages us to trust Him to resurrect Greater Greaterness out of our greatest messes! “In you our ancestors trusted; they trusted and you delivered them. To you they cried, and were saved; in you they trusted, and were not put to shame.”

While some folk would have you believe that faith means unwavering trust in God’s power and ability to do anything, and that’s absolutely Truth. Nevertheless, there’s that other part of faith that commands trusting God’s silence as well as His actions, that has proven to be, at the least, extremely unsettling!

The Word of God tells us that the promises of God are Yeah and Amen, however we tend to forget that spiritual things are governed by spiritual laws. Case in point, seed, time and harvest! God is more concerned about developing christian core values and attributes than providing our fleshly creature comforts!

The Prophet Isaiah encourages believers to persevere through the trials expecting your deliverance is soon to come. ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’ (Isaiah 40:31) And James 1:4 admonishes us to ‘let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Honestly, while both texts have been tremendously resourceful, strengthening and comforting, sometimes they ring hollow when the circumstantial eveidence against you is screaming hopelessness, rejection and it appears as if Heaven’s doors are closed and locked you out!

As you walk with Jesus, experience will teach you that these feelings are just a trick of the enemy to get you to doubt the validity and Faithfulness of God’s Word. If He ain’t saying nothing else, then keep doing the last thing He told you because evidently He ain’t changed His mind!

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

Beloved, when you can’t see God’s Hand, feel His touch or hear His Voice, trust His Heart! REMEMBER THE TEACHER NEVER TALKS DURING THE TEST! DON’T TAP OUT ON HOPE, KEEP TRUSTING GOD’S SILENCE!

Good Morning Family! GOTTA MOMENT? Ooh Glorraa!
Welcome to a new day! Today, we’re ecstatic that you have joined us in our Thursdays’ Day of Corporate Fasting & Prayer! We appreciate this opportunity and privilege to entreat The Presence of our Great High Priest, pouring out our hearts desires, concerns, petitions and supplications with Thanksgiving. We know that He delights in our embracing Him in earnest expectation, confident that He Rules Forever by His Power is able to save and deliver us from any of life’s maladies! Let’s go in together …

O, Sweet Wonder! Oh Sweet Wonder! Jesus, The Son of God! Ooohh Sweet Wonder! Oh! Sweet Wonder! Jesus! The Son of God! Here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down, Here I am to say that you’re my God,You’re altogether lovely, Altogether worthy, Altogether wonderful to me!

Our Father and God of Heaven and Earth, we come before You humbled by Your Loving-Kindness, Grace and Mercy! We’re eternally grateful for one more opportunity to behold The Glory of Your Presence! We know that it’s Your Wisdom and Strength that has kept us alive today! We thank You for revealing to us such wondrous treasures that were hidden from our understanding, when we walked surrounded by darkness, as dead men in the earth without a God on our side!

Abba Father, it’s only because of You, that we know to cherish this day and not take it for granted as if we have a right to live! Because of You we now live, move and have our being! We come with our hearts rejoicing, hands lifted up and our lips forever praizing You! Oh, how awesome are Your deeds! For You have preseved our lives and kept our feet from slipping!

Daddy, we thank You for being God of our Salvation, Hope of Deliverance, Breakthrough and Provision. We’re thankful that because You know our frame, Your Faithfulness and Compassion continuously allow You to look beyond our human frailties, faults and iniquities to see and minister to all of our real need!

We praise You today, for renewed strength, understanding and power that comes from a heart seeking , depending and relying wholly upon You. We praise You Lord, because no man can come to the Father except you draw them, Father, we interceded on behalf of every unsaved soul, please quicken the Spirit of Godly-repentance in their heart and in their mind that they will come confessing a “sincere Yes” to Your Precious Gift of Grace and receive You as their Lord and Savior! We’re believing that You will direct their footsteps and place them and settle them into a church home today.

Abba Father, we ‘re trusting You to put a “new commitment YES” in the heart and mind of every backslider and let today be the day that they come back to You and come back to YOUR church determined to submit their lives to the sound teachings of Your Word, learn to love and live their lives walking to please You First!

Father, we pray that you will touch our brother, touch our sister whose body has been afflicted by sickness and disease, especially the spirit of cancer and rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake. Heavenly Father, You have decreed that You are Alpha and Omega, the same yesterday, today and forever! Even as you walked in this earth healing all who were sick, feeble, lame we know that You’re Well Able to do the same right now! Lord Jesus, Your Word declares that Your stripes have redeemed and healed us and we’re yet standing on your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

Lord, we lift up every believer who is yet holding on to Your Hand by faith today, trusting You to release Divine power, Supernatural Strength, Health, Provision, Prosperity and Protection. Father, we’re persuaded that You will preserve each of us thru the tests that You’ve allowed us to go thru and keep us constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE and fully-confident that at the appointed time,You, will bring us out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word.

Heavenly Father, we pray according to Your Will, for the leaders of our nation, corporate, judicial, education, financial institutions and our churches! We’re asking that You touch the minds and hearts, that You speak to them in dreams and visions letting them know that You Who Sit Enthroned Above the Heavens is keeping record of the deeds of every man’s heart and will reward accordingly!

Abba, we ask that You encourage and comfort the souls of Your elect who are overwhelmed with fear, doubt and worry because of the things that are going on in our personal lives and in this ungodly world systems! Plant Your Peace in our spirits assuring us that we are never alone, and never without Your Very Present Help!

Father, we’re thanking You for an outpouring of Your Divine Favor upon each and every one of your children who are seeking employment, promotion, prompt approval for student/car/home loans as a sign that YOU are YET HE, Jehovah Jareh, Who supplies all of our need according to Your Riches in Glory!

Father, we decree that every demonic-induced spirit of addiction and fear is arrested and defeated NOW because of Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness and Purpose is being released in the lives of Your people now, in Jesus Name!

Father, as we wait in confidence and quietness, we rejoice in hope, trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling and departing in shameful defeat, terrified because You have heard the voice of our weeping,  supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Abba Father, we boldly stand in agreement with You who hears and answers our prayers, and forgives our transgressions! Holy Father, because You have chosen us and brought us near to live in Your House, our souls are strengthened as we shout with joy unto The One to Whom all men will come! We bow in obedient reverence before The Hope of all the earth, believing that as Your face shines upon us that, You are making Your ways and salvation known among all nations for You Guide and Rule justly!

Father, we seal this prayer thanking You NOW, for WE believe that it is done according to Your Will! In The Exalted Name of Jesus. Amen 3X and It Is So! Now every child of God who is standing in agreement with this prayer, GO TELL SOMEBODY THAT JESUS LOVES EVERYBODY!

Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
Lamentations 3:57

Some saints would have you to believe that since they’ve been saved, they’ve never experienced a moment of fear, grief or despair. Oh, yall know what I mean! Listening to their church testimony, you’d think that all their days were ‘goody, goody and howdy, howdy, cascading down tulip filled pathways’!  Okay, well Bless God, let me be the first to raise both my hands and confess, I not there yet. I guess I’m still a work in progress! But perhaps, I am not the only one, huh?

According to our text, Jeremiah, aka The Weeping Prophet, came to realize that neither his great love for nor his faithful obedience to God exempted him from suffering depression, sorrow and fear. Ironically, Jeremiah’s tears didn’t stem from personal defiance but rather the insolence of his fellow-countrymen. The prophet’s heart was broken and burdened because his beloved nation was facing imminent destruction due to their continuous rebellion against God.

Instead of God’s chosen people gratefully heeding Jeremiah’s warnings, the Prophet’s concern was repeatedly met with murderous bitter resentment. Jeremiah was beaten severely, thrown into an empty cistern, and left to die for daring to tell the people the Truth. According to the scriptures, there Jeremiah called out to God and God responded with  A GRACE WORD … ‘fear not!’

While there’s some degree of solace in knowing we, the Elect of God, are in this world, BUT we’re not of this world, nonetheless we, like Jeremiah, will also endure times of suffering due to the ungodliness of others. The degradation of morality and diminishing respect for life in general, often lead us down into pits of muck and miry clay. Relationships drive us to the edge and end of ourselves, through valleys of ‘don’t know what else we can do’ and onto the intersection of ‘helpless to change our condition’—yet we are never without this Hope—our deliverance is always just a prayer away! One short faith-filled “HELP ME, LORD JESUS!” releases The Power and The Glory of God—right on time, every time!

In the midst of your turmoil, has God ever whispered a Rhema Word  into your belly that instantly checked your spirit, jump started your hope and restored your peace, right?  Just One Word can flip the script, strengthen your heart, renew your mind, quicken your faith, stir up the Holy Ghost, Who empowers you with that second wind that catapults you to run on, convinced that, ‘Yeah Baby! WE GOT THIS!’ (Ref. Isaiah 40: 30-31)

Don’t be scarred! God’s near! Let Hell know WHO YOU KNOW, WHOSE YOU ARE AND WHOM YOU SERVE!

Oh yeah! ONE WORD FROM GOD CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7

 
Dual Citizenship! Living in this world while at the same time recognizing that we’re aliens of another Kingdom, occupying this place in time as carriers of The Glory until the return of Jesus Christ, The King is absolutely-mind-blowingly-awemaazin, huh?

But! Sometimes, life comes at us so hard and so fast that we lose consciousness of the core of our faith—Truth—and find our hearts being ripped betwixt two realities. That confident heritage of the saints, is often disrupted by the intrusive presence of aggravating adverse circumstances!

Now, don’t get it twisted! I’m not saying that we forget we’ve been called and chosen by God to be instruments of righteousness at His bidding. Hopefully, most of us have long since gotten past that issue. We believe with all our hearts that one day we will live eternally in Heaven with our Father. But!!! It’s the meantime that keeps tripping us up! Our frail-flawed-fickle, self-centered-fleshy-nature keeps drawing us back to the ol’ days when we sat on The Throne of our hearts, making decisions and judgments according to what seemed right in our own minds! Can I getta Amen?

Remember when that ol’ man had nothing to restrain us from focusing all our time, thoughts and energy on getting whatever we wanted, whenever we thought we needed? We were clueless that we were actually being used by rulers of darkness, hell bent on pulling us away from The Omnipresence, Omniscience, Omnipotence Creator and driving us head first into a sink hole of fear, discouragement, hopelessness and failure!

YEP! We were oblivious to the enemy’s wicked scheme to entrap us; besieging our minds with his ticker-tape alerts forecasting the high probability of hurricane wind gusts, overcast skies of dread, gloom and doom! Unfortunately, for too many of us, Satan’s so competent with his devices that if we’re not careful, we will come into agreement with him, setting the course for fulfillment of the very thing we fear! Hence, when we surrender to our fears, we give validity to them, and worse yet, proving him (The Father of Lies) to be a true prophet!

That is until  Holy Spirit quickens us, reminding us that we’re no longer obligated or enslaved by our former Task Master! When we come to ourselves, purpose in our hearts, settling our affections on things above and acknowledge The Greater One abiding in us, we slam the devil down to his rightful place (under our feet)! Dontchakno? When YOU believe GOD, the tormentor has no choice but to back up off of ya!

When we activate the spiritual weaponry of warfare that God has armed every believer by commanding our minds to think of the Goodness of Jesus and all that He has done, continues to do and promises to do—the Joy of The Lord swells up in our hearts, illuminating our thoughts, erupting inevitable praise!Suddenly, The Glory of His Presence shows up filling our hearts and minds with a peace that passes all understanding! (Ref. 2 Corinthians 10:4 and Philippians 4:7)

Beloved, the next time that lying devil tries to steal your hope, jus throw THE ROCK at him and JUST THINK YOURSELF HAPPY WITH PRAISE!

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3! Then pick up another rock and seal the victory! “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11)

Once again, we’re asking that you join us in our Thursdays’ Day of Corporate Prayer and Fasting. Let’s bow our hearts Heavenward, yielding our spirits to The True Source of Life and Light!

HERE I AM TO WORSHIP, HERE I AM TO BOW DOWN, HERE I AM TO SAY THAT YOU’RE MY GOD, YOU’RE ALTOGETHER WORTHY, ALTOGETHER LOVELY, ALTOGETHER WONDERFUL TO ME! …

PRECIOUS ONES, WE’RE PRAYING, BELIEVING AND DECREEING…

Abba Father, we come before You today, In the Magnificent, All Powerful Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, rejoicing, praising and thanking You for blessing us to see one more brand new day! For we recognize that it was not because of any goodness of our own that we live, move and have our being and we quickly thank You, Father for another opportunity to embrace and enjoy the abundance of Your Mercy, Your Grace, Your Power and Your Peace!

Heavenly Father, it is with unspeakable joy that we Thank You for being The God of our Salvation, Deliverance, Breakthrough and Provision! With heartfelt humility and sincere gratitude, we acknowledge that Amazing Grace, Compassion and Faithfulness that allows You, knowing our frame, YET contine to look beyond our human frailties, faults and iniquities and minister to all of our need!

We offer up precious praise from hearts open, depending and relying only on You today, knowing that renewed strength, understanding and power is coming down from The Father of all comfort and compassion!

Lord, because no man can come to the Father except you draw them, we ask,  that as Your eyes continue to search the hearts of mankind that you draw and save the lost, quickening the Spirit of Godly-repentance into their hearts and minds so enabling them to come to you today saying “Yes” to your wonderful gift of Grace, receiving You as their Lord and Savior in order that The Blood of Jesus may cleanse them from all sin and unrighteousness and seat us in Heavenly Places in Christ!

Father, we interced on behalf of every one who has turned their backs on You, walking in their own will. We ask that You put a “commited Yes Lord” in their heart and mind, freeing them to repent of their sin and come running back to You! We declare and decree that today every back-slider’s footsteps are being directed by Your Mercy and that You are planting and settling them into the church home that You’ve prepared and designated for their individual deliverance, growth and development!

Lord Jesus, according to Your Word, Your  wounds and stripes have redeemed and healed us! Therefore, we’re standing on your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name!

We’re believing that You are touching our brother, our sister whose body has been afflicted by all manner of physical, mental, spiritual sickness and diseases and we’re pleading The Healing Blood of Jesus against the spirit of cancer, kidney failure, heart conditions, high/low blood pressures, depression, demonic-induced oppressions of temptations, doubts, addictions, learning disabilities, low self esteem, fear, grief, past failures and disappointments, regrets and resentments, and we uproot, rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake!

Lord, we intercede on behalf of every believer who is being confronted by a no-way-out situation but is yet holding on to Your Hand by faith today, trusting that You are releasing Divine power, Supernatural Strength, Health, Provision, Prosperity and Protection. We’re trusting also Father, that You will preserve them thru the tests that they must go thru, keeping them constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE, fully-assured that You will bring them out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word!

Father, because of Your undivided Devotion towards us we thank You NOW, believing that IT IS DONE! In The Exalted Name of Jesus. Amen 3X and It Is So!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.  Jude 1:3

This probably won’t come as a newsflash, except to those who might’ve just landed on planet earth about an hour ago, OK? But here goes, we’re living in times that could potentially affect, even the very elect of God, with a highly-contagious disease! Left untreated the symptoms  have quickly escalated into a spiritually infectuous organism transmitting deadly viral weariness, discouragement, grief and hopelessness of pandemic proportions!!  Seriously! It’s as if the world, as we’ve known it, is spinning out of control around us and we’re being tossed, driven and engulfed by the undercurrents of Life!

As Saints of The Most High God, we’re subconsciously aware that long ago God’s Prophets predicted perilous times would come. However, now we’re experiencing in real-time God’s Revelation actually being fulfilled right before our eyes. For many of us, even with our eyes wide open and prayerfully watching, we yet have to admit, we never could’ve imagined days like this, right?

Satan, has strategically launched a full battery of assaults against the people of God and many of us are falling by the wayside, becoming casualties of war, not knowing ‘who’ our real enemy is!  It’s imperative that we recognize that when we surrendered our lives to Jesus, immediately were enlisted into The Lord’s Army and the world became a battlefield! Therefore, we must be on constant alert that our engagement is not against flesh and blood, but this war is against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this age and spiritual wickedness in high places who can’t be overcome by mere human strength (Ref. Ephesians 6:16).

While The Bible never promised us a gala-trouble-free life in this present world, God has given us Divine Assurance that we’re never alone. Hence, in the midst of intimidating chaos, drama and intense warfare, we stand fully persuaded that God is our refuge, strength, an ever-present Help, encouraging and enabling us to yet fight on. (Ref. Psalm 46:1).

We must also understand that God, The Captain and Commander of the Universe, has not deserted us leaving us defenseless, but has set us up with spiritual weaponry fully capable of not only infiltrating but completely annihilating the Devil’s camp and pulling down every stronghold that the enemy has forged against the children of God—THE WORD OF GOD!

You must realize that the Devil’s worst nightmare is coming up against an authentic born-again, sanctified, Holy-Ghost filled, confident, completely armored bona fide Believer! In the hands of a bold, fearlessly courageous True Believer, The Sword of The Spirit guarantees triumphant victory every time! (Ref. 2 Corinthans 10:4; Hebrews 4:12)

Despite the atrociousness or enormity of our personal tests or trials, Abba Father has decreed and declared that NO WEAPON formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, your VERY lifestyle of holiness and righteousness shall condemn any demonic-induced situation or circumstance that dares to confront or attempt to hinder you! (Ref. Isaiah 54:17) Didjaheardat? That’s the gospel TRUTH!

Beloved, we’re not of those who will tuck-tail and run; but we press on celebrating the same God who delivered you out of Egyptian bondage, is well able to keep you standing strong to the end!  Trust2Know, Your Majestic Eternal King JESUS always honors and rewards faithfulness with contentment, happiness and Godly peace! 

Your orders from headquaters are as follows, “Gird up the loins of your mind, you defenders of The Cross! Fall in to proper formation; pick up your weapons and stand steadfast, immovable, and ready to contend for the faith that was entrusted to you when you first believed! LO, I COME QUICKLY! RAZE HELL!” #OCCUPY UNTIL I COME!

Jesus replied,“The time is coming, ma’am, when we will no longer be concerned about whether to worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. For it’s not where we worship that counts, but how we worship—is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help? For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us. But you Samaritans know so little about him, worshiping blindly, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes to the world through the Jews.” John 4:21-24 TLB

 

Unless you were born late last night or just landed on planet earth early this morning, you gotta recognize that this whole world has gone crazy! I don’t care who you are, where you live, how many tongues you speak in, you’ve gotta admit that stuff is going down around us today that Mama and Daddy ‘nem never could’ve imagined. We’re living in desperate times, huh?

You don’t have to be a bible scholar or seminary theologian, or even have the Holy Ghost to be able to discern the signs of the times. We are living in the last of the last days. And Jesus is soon to come. Amen 3x? #DON’T SHOUT ME DOWN!

Let me assure you, it matters not whether you’re young or old, everybody needs to know Jesus for themselves. It’s getting darker out here, and there’s no guarantee that you got all that time you think you have to get yourself together. But while you have today, we need to stop blaming or comparing ourselves with everybody else and figure out how to work out our own soul salvation! None of us should allow what nobody else is doing to distract us and make us miss Jesus, huh?

It doesn’t matter who’s in the White House, Senate, Congress, Court House, Jail House, Out House or who falls off the financial cliff, YOU need to be very sure that this world is not your Source of provision, comfort, joy and certainly not your peace! Them ol’ skool Mothers sanng, “My Hope is built on nothing less, but Jesus Blood and His Righteousness, I dare not trust the sweet frame, but wholly lean on JESUS NAME”!

Beloved, time is spirialing into eternity at the speed of LIFE! Hence, recess is over and time’s out for fakin’ it till you make it! We no longer have the luxury of procrastinating! You’ve gotta get off the proverbial fence and make a decision. Either you’re going to walk by faith or allow the cares of this lost and dying world to slamm, trample and sift your joy, strength and hope for better days to come. If the only hope you have is in this world, you’re destined to live a most miserable life!

Saints, God has a better plan for His children. “I come that you might have life and that more abundantly” (Ref. John 10:10) Yet,  contrary to New Age Gospel-Lite doctine, God’s Promises are conditional! As the CEO of your destiny, The Word of God must take priority over everything! Therefore, it’s not enough to hear the Word, you must believe it to the point that you live it; i.e by walking it out in your everyday life!

Stop allowing your intellect to compromise your faith in what God can do. This ain’t the first time, the odds have been stacked against you. Remember, what you see is only temporary, but the Word of God stands forever, eternally established and secure!

Precious one, worship God out of a spirit of faithful obedience. Encourage yourself, giving praise and Glorraaa to your God Who is Faithful and Powerful enough to keep every promise that He’s ever made.  Don’t stop til u getit, GETIT! #WALK IT OUT!

“When I think of the goodness of Jesus, and all he has done for me,my soul cries out Hallelujah! I thank God for saving me!”

 

We’ve all heard that; some of us have even testified it ourselves. How many of us were clueless that this was really a verse of a song, and not a scripture? But datz okay! Regardless of it’s roots, reciting these words has pulled many drowning souls out of the depths of hopelessness and despair!

The master of deceit, Satan, flourishes in our proclivity towards selective amnesia. Whether it’s a self-induced defense mechanism or some type of ego-boosting-denial-syndrome, I don’t know. However, if we’re honest, every single one of us could testify we’ve scaled some mountains higher than we thought possible and drifted through seemingly impossible storms that “NOBODY BUT GOD kept us alive!”

Truthfully, that’s exactly what terrifies Satan the most. He knows that if we ever take the time to really think about how often The Power Twins, Mercy and Grace, showed up, just in the nick of time delivering us from danger, destruction and even death, praise and worship is imminent! And of course, that’s the absolute last thing the devil wants to endure is a bunch of happy trusting believers rejoicing and lifting up The Name of Jesus!

Well, guess what devil, you might as well pull out your earplugs, because God is raising up a nation of your worst nightmare,  reformed doubters-complainers, an honest-to-goodness -genuine BELIEVERS! Oh Yeah! We’ve come through some fires, been through some storms but we can truly say that God was with me all the way!

In fact, come to think of it,  everytime that I cried out to Him, Jesus heard me and saved me out of all my troubles! ( Psalm 34:6) And because of my personal history, I have learned how to lean and depend on Jesus! Therefore, I truly and profoundly declare and decree (with both hands raised) “I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES, HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MOUTH! (Psalm 34:1)

And guess what else, if you think I’m gonna keep this to myself, you must be an ol’ fool! I’m about to tell everybody, ‘come and see what the Lord has done for me!” THINK ABOUT IT…U GOTTA THANK HIM, huh?

But now, thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel. Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, Thou art Mine…Isaiah 43:1

Back in da day, growing up in the inner city, I remember how much fun we had just playing outside.  There was always something going on.  I remember jumping out of bed early in the morning, hurrying through my chores so I could get outside! From sun up till sundown, the atmosphere was charged with children’s laughter and just plain ol’ oomph.  Most of our parents didn’t have a lot of money to spend on entertainment.  In fact, in most homes, there was no TV’s, of course no computers, or X-Boxes, or Ipads, and yes, no cell phones.  IMAGINE DAT!

Strangely enough, I can hardly remember ever being bored.  Whatever we might’ve lacked in finances, we sure made up in our overactive imaginations!  Someone was always introducing a new game to play, a new dance, a new song, or a new way of doing an old thing. 
 
However, no matter how involved we might have been in our play time, there was a certain part of us that was instinctively tuned into that certain sound, that certain voice.  I mean, we could’ve been half way down the block somewhere, but when Mama stuck her head out the door and called your name, a sacred-like hush fell upon everyone’s ears as they zoned into to that sound to decipher who was calling who.
 
In the age of this new millennium there are so many things to occupy our time and our thoughts. There is always some new distraction, a new project, a new goal to attain, a new challenge to overcome.  In the midst of all the audible chatter, we’ve kinda lost our sensitivity to His Voice. Saints, now more than ever, we need to know who’s behind the voice that’s calling us.
 
The Bible says my sheep know my voice and another they will not follow. It’s become critical. Yes, in some cases a matter of life and death; that we are tuned into the call of God. Just as we as children knew our Mama’s voice and dropped whatever we were doing and responded quickly to that call, it is incumbent upon everyone of us to learn the art of hush and open up our spirit to the Voice!  Be Still and Know!

HUSH! HUSH!  DIDJAHEARDAT? SOMEBODY’S CALLING UR NAME!!

TRUE CIRCUMCISION

TRUE CIRCUMCISION

 

SELAH Daily Devotions!

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus, And have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3

 

According to the Old Testament, God commanded every male child to be circumcised on the 8th day of their birth. (Ref. Genesis 17:7-14) As you (women) can only  imagine, this procedure was extremely bloody. God wanted his people to stand out from the rest of the nations.  Hence, circumcision became the outward sign symbolizing that you were a member of a Peculiar, Elite, a Royal Family!

Today, God’s chosen people still undergo a procedure. However, ours is spiritual and involves a circumcision of our hearts! The procedure can only be performed under the direction of the skillful hand of the Holy Ghost. Because of the fragility and exceptionality of this procedure, it requires the use of particular surgical instruments. Every incision must be meticulously and tediously made with a two edged sword—The Word of God—that’s capable of dividing, piercing asunder both the soul and the spirit! (Ref. Hebrews 4:12)

And guess what else? The best part about this whole thing is that you don’t have to be pre-approved by Kaiser, Aetna, Blue Cross or Blue Shield… it’s already paid for! But keep in mind, this surgical procedure is solely elective. This means that the patient must willingly submit to the knife because The Holy Ghost will never impose or force Himself upon anyone!

Once the patient embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by humbly allowing the Word of God to penetrate and cut away their old stony heart, confessing that he’s a sinner, alienated from God’s family and in need of a Savior, he receives a brand new heart—The Heart of Jesus!

When the procedure is completed, successfully, the patient becomes a new species—a born-again Believer—A Christian!  (Ref. 2 Corinthians 5:17)

This new Christian is now free to worship and serve God faithfully by presenting his body as a living sacrifice. Wow! Could that be why they praise Him like they do? The truth of the matter is, God is a heart-fixer and a mind-regulator! If you will allow HIM to exchange your heart for HIS, it’ll change your mind! When you change your mind, everything else in your life’s gotta change! #SERIOUSLY
