He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

 

Recently, I’ve come into contact with several people who undergo Dialysis treatment due to severe kidney failure. I am certainly not an expert in these matters, so humor me in my attempt to describe, in my acutely limited understanding, how dialysis works. Okay, here goes?

Apparently, the dialysis process involves draining the blood from the patient’s body thru a machine which filters out the impurities in the blood system and returns the clean blood back into the body. The number of the times the patient visits the dialysis center weekly varies according to the level of kidney dysfunction of the individual. While the benefits outweigh the risks of this procedure, there are potentially critical consequences of this process. One being anemia. One of the markers that the physician looks at to determine the stage of anemia is the ratio of white blood cells to red blood cells.

Prayerfully, none of you will ever suffer through anything like this, in the natural; yet it prompted me to look at its similarities spiritually. It’s becoming profoundly evident that The New millennium church is suffering from a severe case of spiritual anemic. Somewhere along the way, there has been a gradual drifting away and a markedly diminishing of the revelation, significance and the Power of The Blood of Jesus!

Consequently, the church is in dire need of a blood transfusion. The problem is most of the times this dis-ease goes virtually unnoticed and undiagnosed until we find ourselves sprawled out on a gurney in the ER (the Altar) depleted physically, emotionally, financially, relationally scrapped and spiritually bankrupt.

Oh yeah, some of us have become quite adept at putting on our ‘church-game-face’ and can actually manage to press on, for a good while, conquering one hurdle after another before draining all our strength. But inevitably, we get to that place where we’ve no other option but to come clean. ‘That’s it…I’m through…Kapoop…there’s absolute nothing left…I’ve tried to stop lying and cussin’, drinking and dopin’… I tried to handle this adulterous relationship…I’ve done all I can think of to keep this house/business/church afloat, keep these kids from going to jail…but now …I’m at my wits end.” And… That’s when we turn to Jesus, the True Source of All Strength and Power…The Master Physician!

You see the problem is, God never intended us to do it (LIFE) alone! That’s why He sent Jesus to restore the connection severed by Adam’s rebellion. The Blood of God’s Sacrificial Lamb flows from The Righteous to the unrighteous. As it is applied daily to our hearts, minds, our will through prayer, worship and study of His Word, filtering into every area of our lives we are fortified and sanctified holy and acceptable to God!

The transforming Blood of Jesus purifies our sin-consciousness and empowers us to overcome all of this life’s maladies replenishing hope and healing to an anemic church and to a lost and unholy world! #Didjaheardat? #WOW!

No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance, despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.We wait in hope for the Lord, he is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love, rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33:16-22

 

WOAH! TIME OUT! Can we at least agree that there’s a strong possibility that prophesy is being full-filled right before our eyes, live and in living color, huh? WHO KNU? (Ref. Matthew 24:6)

Truth is, any given morning, we wake up to BREAKING NEWS  of the latest epidemic of civic unrest, chaotic rioting, murders, robberies, wars and rumors of wars, unraveling of corrupt political slanderers, traumatic earth-transforming global warming, firey earthquakes and floodings, threatening government shutdowns, human trafficking, corporate bankruptcy, lay-offs, hackers, sword-wailing–errorist bombings targeting soft-spots (bridges, restaurants, libraries, nite clubs, airports and schools), drug overdoses, suicides by cops and we can’t ignore the sporadic plane, train, bus and car crashes. It’s no wonder that so many of us are walking around bi-polarized with fear, anxiety, UN-diagnosed clinical depression coupled with post-election stress disorder, right?

While the world maintains it’s diminutive-demoralizing ‘a wishin and a hopin’ …‘we can only hope so’ ideology of GREATER days to come and Satan continues to infiltrate unregenerated hearts and minds with taunting lies and alternative facts that perpetuate hopelessness and despair, the saints cling desperately to the reality of the yet unseen Eternal Hope!

There’s no denying that it’s extremely difficult to not be frustrated as the wickedness of man profusely increases. Nevertheless, amidst the scorners, believers have an advantage that the world knows not of and a HOPE that reaches beyond this world! We know that NOW IS NOT ALWAYS! According to our Kingdom Constitution, the sufferings of this present time, are not worth even sweating over; compared to the glorious future that awaits us at His Appearance! (Ref. Psalm 33:10-11)

Although, sometimes, God allows the horsemen to trample over our heads. Nonetheless, when faced with the harshness of real-time woes, we don’t tap out but anchor our Trust in Hope! We know that it’s just a temporary set-up to catch our enemies off-guard to their imminent destruction and our inevitable Triumph! When we’re at our weakest, His Uncompromising Faithfulness to save, rescue and cover us is stronger than our momentary doubts! (Ref. 2 Corinthisans 2:14)

Unlike worldly hope, duped in the fantasy, “I am the master of my own destiny’, a believers’ Hope is rooted in a spiritually-inspired anticipation that whatever God has promised HAS TO COME TO PASS! Hence, this holy boldness, assured by every Promise given by The Eternal One, Who abides free from outside influence, is the launching pad to our Eminent Salvation, giving substance to our faith!

Little children, while it’s clearly impossible to turn a blind eye to the downward spiral of this 21st Century society, our spiritual discernment confirms that while it may seem as if things are falling apart, EVERYTHING IS FALLING RIGHT IN PLACE!  TRUST2KNO, nothing  happens that can everrr take God by surprise! The Eyes of The Lord are always looking on His Beloved and His Ears are ever attentive to the cries of those whose hearts revere and Hope in His Holy Name! WOW! Didjaheardat?

Obviously, we have every reason to rest secure, trusting in the Strength of God’s Unfailing Love! NOW DATZ A FACT! #JESUSISLORD!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum 1:7

 

One of those most prominent desires of humanity is a sense of security. Thanks to our progenitors, Adam and Eve, the moment that we submitted to the diabolic deception of The Tempter, Satan, we got what we wanted but lost what we had! Scriptures reveal the absolute perfection that they enjoyed walking in The Will of Creator God! Any and everything their pure hearts desired was readily available to them just for the asking. Yet, the one thing God required of them was the same thing that the devil used to lure them away from what God commanded, faithful obedience!

Since mankind’s expulsion from The Paradise of The Garden Eden, we’ve been trying to find our own piece of peace in the midst of this sin-fated world we’ve been forced to inhabit. Adding insult to injury, from the moment Abel’s blood hit the earth, all of Cain’s descendants, were destined to sojourn throughout the earth, cursed and marked for The Righteous Vengeance of The Lord! This spirit of rebellion soon gave way to anger, spiraling into murder nailing the coffin shut for any hope of returning to the blissful state of innocence and intimacy that once endowed God’s Most Precious Creation!
Despite the culmination of 21st Century’s technological achievements and the once unimaginable creative creature comforts and conveniences, a quick glance at any day’s breaking news headlines, confirm that man’s aspiration for attaining such lofty state of uninterrupted serenity, equanimity and freedom from disturbances continues to evade us!

BUT! Thanks Be To GOD! Jehovah’s Loyal Love (refusing to be denied) ordained before the foundation of the world, a Perfect Rest for anyone who cries out to Him earnestly, in sincere contrition for Salvation IN THE PERSON OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST! (Ref. 1 Peter 1:20)

Sometimes, looking back from this side of Calvary’s Cross, it’s more convenient to blame the horrid conditions of our world on the careless apathy of our first parents. And, depending on the weight of the trial or struggle, we just might point our fist toward God. After all, HE’S GOD and HE could’ve stopped sin in it’s track, right? Yet, Wisdom and Grace soon deter us from persisting in such foolishness!

The truth of the matter is that the seed of sin has regenerated, thus degenerating our morality, perverting our sense of right and wrong to the extent that we can no longer trust in the arms of flesh, particularly our own hearts!

BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD!

In the midst of these perilous times, we need to know that God has prepared (by HIS Own Hand), a safe haven for those of us, who will place our personal trust, confidence and absolute reliance in the immutability of God’s Righteous Character: Holy, Just, Truth, Honor and Omnipotent Power!

When life is raging beyond what you can weather and the billows of trouble threaten to devour you, remember there is a prepared place of Refuge! In God, believers, escaping from the cares of this world, dwell under the Wings of Adonai and find rest and safety from hurt and harm in this life and the life to come!

“The name of the Lords a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10

Beloved, the moment you make a conscious irretrievable decision to not lean to your own interpretations, but determine to acknowledge, from the seat of your soul, that regardless of all of the circumstantial evidence, God’s Unfailing Love shall never forsake you, you will begin to experience unspeakable Joy and overwhelming Peace that jus don’t make no sense! Didjaheardat? Awemaazing, huh?

YEP! TRUST2KNO, WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE ARE AUDACIOUSLY RAGING AND THE  FRENZIED SURGE OF UNCERTANTY ARE THREATENING TO MAKE YOU LOSE YOUR FOOTING, THERE IS A DEATH-DEFYING ROCK OF REFUGE FOR THOSE WHO DARE TO COMMIT THEIR BEING TO THE FAITHFULNESS OF THEIR HEAVENLY FATHER…HIS NAME IS JESUS!

GOOD MORNING FAM! GOTTA MOMENT? GLORRRAAAA!

Once again, we’re elated that you have joined us today in our Weekly Day of Corporate Fasting and Prayer! We who recognize the awesome honor and privilege that The Maker of Heaven and Earth has afforded us, come reverently before The Heavenly Throne in faith today, embracing His outstretched Hand that so graciously supplies all our need according to The Richness of His Mercy and Amazing Grace towards those who diligently seek to please Him!

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Shall we pray…

 
Abba Father, we come before You boldly, as You have encouraged us who are called by Your Name, thanking You for this day! For it was none else but You, O Lord, Who gently shook us from our sleep calling us to the land of the living, that we might enjoy one more day of the Abundant Goodness that You have prepared for us today!
Because of Your Omnipresence, Omniscience, Omnipotence, we come now, as You have taught us, praying that the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in Thy sight! You are our Strength, You are our Redeemer! You have instructed us to put You in remembrance of Your Words, we ask that You assist us in our desire to see what You see, say what You say and think as You think! Therefore, as we are empowered by Holy Spirit, by faith, we call those things which be not, as though they already are!

Those of us who heard and recognized Your Voice calling us to Arise, got up before dawn, and cried out to You for help, confident that it is in You that we live, move and having our being. All of our hope is based on Your Word. Therefore, when You say, “Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”

Heavenly Father, we hallow Your Holy Name, for in these troubling times, Who have we in heaven but thee? There is none upon earth that we desire beside thee. Our flesh and our hearts may fail, but You O God remain the strength of our heart, and our portion for ever! You alone are our hiding place; Your countenance shall preserve us from trouble and You shall compass us about with songs of deliverance. Selah!

When our hearts are overwhelmed by the cares of this world, we hold fast to Your Promise for You are The Lord our God and will hold our right hand, saying, “Fear not; I will help thee.” We stand on the God-breathedTruths that You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in Thee.

As we go through this day, Sweet Jesus, we pray that an overflow of The Precious Blood of Jesus will shield us from anything that would attempt to rob us of the affirming Joy and Peace that we have because of what You have already done for us through Your life, death, burial and resurrection! We pray that this Joy will sustain and comfort us through every test that we face during the day giving us a night song to sing to the God of our life and helps us to proclaim out of a steadfast heart, The Lord is all I have, and so in HIM I put my hope!

Heavenly Father, we bless You for the Abiding Hope that assures us of victory over every challenging circumstance! You are always with us and all Power is in Hand, therefore, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises against us thou shall condemn! Because we take delight in You, You take delight in us and in Your Love, when we are weak and weary, You give us new life and new hope. Your thoughts for us are so great and cause You to sing with Joy over us as You lead us through valleys into green pastures! We endure life’s hardships as good, faithful and obedient soldiers trusting that Your Word decrees “I have ended the threat of doom and taken away your disgrace!”

Abba Father, as we come to worship You, we praise You O Lord, for protection; never let us be defeated. You are a righteous God! Because You are listening as we pray, we know that we can depend upon You to be a refuge to protect and a defense to save us! As we place our lives in Your Providential Care, You keep us safe from the traps that our enemies have set for us and shelter us from danger. For You our Rock are a Faithful God!

Because You hate those who worship false gods, all the proud and arrogant who speak with contempt about the righteous, shall be silenced and condemned the the world of the dead! You will not let our enemies capture us and armed with this understanding, we walk in the freedom to go in and out safely!

As Your watchful eyes continuously searches the hearts of all men, knowing our trouble and seeing the suffering and and afflictions because of the demonic forces of this world, hearing our enemies whispering terror all around us as they make plans against us, You also recognize when our eyes are tired from so much crying, our spirits are exhausted by sorrow, therefore You rescue Your Beloved, speedily! We who have affirmed our personal trust in You, gladly rejoice in Your Constant Love!

When we call out to You Lord, we rest assured that we will never be distracted nor disgraced because of Your Unfailing Lovingkindness and Compassion towards us! We thank you Father that as we walk through this day, depending on You for an abundant life, divine health and wholeness, we shall experience Your Joy to strengthen us for whatever lies ahead and we shall not fail to give You all the Praise, Honor and Glorraaa!

Lord, there are so many other things, that we have yet to mention, but we’re trusting, believing You to fix it, Jesus, as only You can! Lord, we know that You are not just able, but willing to do anything that we ask, in accordance to Your Word, in Jesus Name!
As we offer us this prayer, Father we wait in confidence and quietness, rejoicing in hope and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling and suddenly turning their backs away from Your people and departing in shame because You have heard the voice our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Abba Father, we seal this prayer, lifting our heads upward toward Your Holy Mountain, with our hearts outstretched and clinging to every Word uttered from Your Mouth, earnestly expecting Your Divine Intervention, as we decree and declare that our trust shall remain in You, O Lord!

Father, we thank You NOW, for WE believe that IT IS WELL! In The Exalted Name of Jesus. Amen 3X

Now every child of God who is standing in agreement with this prayer, GO TELL SOMEBODY THAT JESUS CARES AND LUVS 2 SAVE!

GOOD MORNIN’ FAM! GOTTA MOMENT! AWESOME!

Once again, we are delighted that you’ve joined us in our weekly day of Corporate Prayer and Fasting. We know that prayer still works, Amen? As we call on our God, we know that He will give His ear to us and answer each and every request, showing the Wonder of His Great Love to save by His Right Hand all who take refuge in HIM…shall we enter in?

Shine on me, shine on me; let the Light from the lighthouse shine on me. OOOOh, shine on meeee, shine on me; let the Light from the lighthouse…. shine ooooonnnn mmmeeee! I’m only human I’m just a man! Help me to believe in what I could be and all that I am…One day at a time, Sweet Jesus! That’s all I’m asking of You! Please give me the strength to do everything that I have to do! Yesterday’s gone, Sweet Jesus; and tomorrow may nevrrr be mine! Lord for my sake…Help me to take…one…day…at…a time….

Father in Heaven, here we are before You again! We come today with upstretched hands, outstretched arms and yielded hearts, so grateful for this day. We know that it’s only because of Your Amazing Grace and Tender Mercy, You have allowed us to enjoy one more day of life, health and strength. We’re thankful for another opportunity to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto You. We’re trusting You to provide everything that we need today to sustain us thru whatever challenges that unfold during the course of this day, knowing that You Alone are our God, Guard and Guide with embrace this day, fully persuaded that nothing shall overcome us because in You, Lord Jesus, we are more than conquerors!

Sweet Jesus, we stand humbly before Your Sovereignty, we ask You to forgive us for everything that we, your children, have spoken, done and thought that was not pleasing in Your sight. We thank You now because You have assured us that if we would confess our sins, You, Heavenly, Father being Faithful and Just will forgive us, and wash us in The Precious Blood of Jesus, cleansing us from all unrighteousness, and restoring the breach that our disobedience has caused between our poor souls and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Father, with eternal gratitude we bless You for extending Your Scepter towards us, allowing us to boldly enter into Your Throne Room, confident that you will entreat us graciously as we pour out the burdens that seem to overwhelm our hearts and releasing everything that concerns us. Lord Jesus, we know that You are Omniscient, Omnipresent, High Prist! You see and You already know everything about everyone of us, yet You have invited us to come to You, and find Grace and Mercy to comfort, strengthen and encourage us to hold on to every Word that You have spoken over our lives, before we were born.

We believe, as we entreat Your Graciousness, Holy Spirit is interceding on our behalf, our family, our friends, even our enemies. Save and deliver those who are closes to destruction, comfort those who are in the pit of  grief, hopelessness and despair; lift up the bowed down heads and strengthen the feeble knees of those who are yet calling out to You at this very hour all over this world!

Abba, we know that You have instructed us, to look not at the temporary things, but to the eternal, yet You also know the frailness of our flesh, and how easily we’re provoked and tempted to become overwhelmed by the cares of this world. You know how and why our hearts are burdened with the pressures of this life. Lord You know that many of Your children are wearied with fear, doubt, unbelief, sickness and disease, financial debt, broken relationships, unprovoked threats, depression, addictions, insecurities, and our days are spent beneath clouds of evil foreboding while our nites are plagued with restlessness, despondency and hopelessness!

Lord Jesus, we pray that You will save, heal and deliver us speedily by Your Mighty Hand! Give us to know that because we belong to You, we are never too far that You can’t see us or can’t reach us! We’re so grateful that You are forever shielding us from anything that the devil would rail against us. Help us to understand that Your Name, Jesus is a Strong Tower, and the righteous who run into it and are saved!

Abba Father, as we open our minds and our hearts to You, please console us with Your Assurance, and Confidence that at The Name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord! Grace Your children with hope-filled trust that You, Father, have committed Your Word towards us that no weapon that’s formed us shall ever prosper and except You allow it, no trouble, test or trial can come near us!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we are fully persuaded of Your Providential Presence and Power to turn everything around to work in our favor and to bring about exuberant testimonies and praizes of Your Eternal Magnificence, Honor and Glory!

Abba Father, we thank you now for listening to the hearts of everyone reading and praying with us. We thank You, Kind Sir, for hearing the hearts of those who have never trusted and accepted Your Son Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord! We are thankful that Holy Spirit is quickening that stony heart now and they are coming to You, humbled and obediently, now to receive Your Mercy and Grace to Save into their hearts and lives!

As we pray, we’re trusting that You are leading and guiding them to the local church, planting them in Your Vineyard, where they shall be taught and transformed by Your Word of Life to take their position in The Kingdom of Heaven.

Lord, we are so thankful that You have declared that You are married to the backsliders! We ask You to drawn anyone who has been deceived by Satan and walked away from Your Face; prick their hearts with Godly-Repentance and a sincere longing to seek the comfort of Your Presence and rush to the safety of Your Loving Arms and the assembly of like-minded souls, committing the rest of their lives to being faithful servants of Your Kingdom!

Father, we pray for the elderly, the widows, the downcast who have born the heat of the day, and those who have pushed and prayed us through, Lord give them sweet peace!

Lord, we pray for the leaders of governments world-wide, because their hearts are in Your Hands, visit them in the night season and command them to do Your Will.

Abba, we lift up every Bishop, Pastor, Overseer, Apostle, Evangelist, Preacher and Teacher. Undergird them with Your Anointing to carry out their assignment, under the direction and strength of Holy Spirit. We plead The Precious Blood of Jesus over them as they go in and out amongst Your people and those who would seek to discredit, hinder and even destroy their faith, faithfulness and the ministry You have ordained thou shall condemn.

Lord, there are so many other things, that we have yet to mention, but we’re trusting that as You search the portals of our hearts, we’re believing You to fix it, Jesus as only You can! As we offer up this prayer, we wait in earnest expectation, praising and thanking You in advance, knowing that You are not just able, but willing to do anything that we ask, in accordance to Your Word, in Jesus Name! Amen 3x

All those who stand in Agreement with this Prayer, shout HALLELEUJAH!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31-1

 
Uuuh forgive my intrusion into your alabaster box, howeverrrrr! Do you sometimes cry out, as I have, “God, don’t You see my tears? Can’t You see my broken heart? God, never mind me, but how can You bear to see the agony of my loved one? God, I know that You care. I just don’t understand why You don’t intervene in this situation right now. Why don’t You do something? And, God, why did you do that?”

Then, to my heart, I seem to hear His still, small voice whispering, “Ann, trust Me. I know what’s best.”

…And I’m left to wonder, “Why I would ever think that I know better than God what’s best for me or my loved one”, huh?

Perhaps, it’s humanity’s naivety to presume that once we surrender our hearts to The Saving Grace of Jesus Christ, life from that point on consists of floating down rose, hydrangea, tulip and lilly clad pathways of ease on our way to the Pearly Gates of New Jerusalem! Unfortunately, there’s nothing in The Holy Writ that remotely resembles such a scenario. In fact, there’s more evidence to support that following in the Footsteps of Jesus means swallowing big gulps from the cup of imminent suffering and sacrifice!

Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. Job 14:1

Don’t get it twisted!  I am not being sacrilegious nor am I craaazzzy! Trust me; I am not in the least implying that our Heavenly Father is aDead-Beat Dad or a Narcissistic Sadist! Quite the contrary! In the Ingenious Sovereignty of His Own Will purpose trumps pain! Hence, God has Divinely orchestrated the terrains of our journey to include sporadic detours through wilderness pit stops as well as ecstatically triumphant mountain top encounters to perfect in us the same Godly Character and Radiant Glory of our Kinsmen Redeemer!

Remember, His Ways are not our ways and His Thoughts supersede our severely limited intellectual capacity to comprehend the length, width and depth and wonder of His Omnipotent Omniscience! (Ref. Isaiah 55:8-9)

Yet, by Faith we know that all things work together for our highest good and His Greatest Glory! (Ref. Romans 8:28) Hence, in the end VICTORY BELONGS 2 JESUS!

#IJS! The quicker that I acquiesce to the prompting of The God In Me, the sooner my po-wearied-soul is encompassed about with the Comforting Presence, Joy and Peace of The Only Wise Savior and Lord of my Life!

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

LIES! LIES! AND MORE LIES!

Isn’t is jus annoying?  I mean, the constant bombarding of your mind with those pesty intimidating thoughts, strategically designated to taint your perspective and sabotage your peace. Unfortunately, sometimes, the video has been playing in our minds for so long, we just might get confused and start to believe that it’s prophetic, huh? Satan, aka da devil, knows fully well that he has absolutely no power to stop what God has planned for your future, yet, he’s determined to strip us of the Hope and Joy of our Salvation!

However, regardless of his deceptive tactics, Saints we must know that Satan is NOT God!

Since his first encounter with our foreparents, Adam and Eve, he’s become quite adept in manipulating our thoughts causing us to question the Faithfulness of God! How? Well, one of his favorite methods is using our Memories to provoke guilt, shame and self-unworthiness! You do know he’s been studying you from the moment you showed up in the earth, right?

Ever notice how the devil keeps bringing up your past mistakes and failures, reminding you of what you did and accusing you about what you should’ve done and didn’t? Oh Yeah!  He is the Accuser of the bretheren. (Ref. Revelation 12:10) Well, this morning I was reminded of something I heard many years ago ‘When the devil starts messing with your mind about your past, just remind him of his future!’

My Precious ones, we don’t have to tuck tail and squirm away in condemnation, as if that’s the end of our story. We can remind the devil that what happened back then was just a chapter setting me up for future episodes of coming attractions!  Remember, The Bible does say, let the redeedmed of the lord, tell their story!

You have been authorized to speak The Word of God with a holy boldness fueled by  confident assurance! You know, like James Brown, ‘SAY It loud! Say it proud! I don’t care whether the fat lady sanngs or not;  for the Blood-Washed Child of The Living God…Failure ain’t Final! In fact, tell ’em,  “I AM the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! I’m not in this thing by myself!  AND when I do stumble and fall, The GOD in Me enables me to fall forward, get back up and keep on moving into my destiny and God’s Purpose! (Ref. Colossians 1:27)

Beloved, take a stand! Let the devil know, ‘I am fully persuaded that whatever you’re planning to trip me up, give it your best shot, just like it didn’t work the last time, it won’t work this time either.(Ref. Isaiah 54:17)

If you really wanna shut his mouth, let ’em know that you know…“My God has ggggrrreeeaaaatt plans for me, for good and not for evil, and He swore by God-self, to bring me into an amazingly glorious future! And remember all that stuff you keep reminding me of, it’s covered, blotted out by the BLOOD!! I know it ain’t fair, it’s called‘favor’! (Ref. Jeremiah 29:11)

Now seal the deal! “One more thing, You Lyin’ Devil, I peeped the back of the Book, and the TRUTH is it ain’t looking that good for you! In the end, we win and you’re still a loser!

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:7

There’s never been a point, place or space in time where God is not! God IS and will ever BE—for He is ETERNALLY GOD! #didjaheardat?

To souls wearied and wounded from matriculating through the sporadic-tumultuous terrains of life, this statement has proven to be the Source of great comfort and strength. At the same time, to the forces of evil, it’s the sting of predictable debilitating destruction and defeat against their insidious attacks!

The primary mission of the Kingdom of darkness is to cause the people of God to abandon their hope and personal trust in The Eternal Father by any means necessary! Satan’s disciples strategically set up obstacles  to ensnare believers with confusion, fear and doubt designed ultimately to contaminate their faith, causing them to re-evaluate the Reliability of trusting in an invisible, yet all emcompassing True and Living God!

Problem is, all too often, it’s the personal testimonies of triumphant victories down thru the years that continue to rigorously validate God’s Faithfulness, fueling the Believer’s Hope of Eternal Glory!

Granted, finding ourselves knee-deep in the dung of this 21st Century Anti-Christ culture, there’s no shortage of opportunities to just throw in the towel, tap-out on the Promises revealed in the Sacred Writ, resolving that they’re no longer relevant in this self-centered, self-righteous, intellectually astute, Hi-Tech, contemporal millenial society!

However, such thinking is only logical to those who have foolishly opted to avoid the reality of The Omnipresent Omnipotent True and Living God! Nevertheless, absolutely nothing ever happens that catches God off-guard. Hence, He is Alpha and Omega! The Omniscient Creator, Sovereignly orchestrating the affairs of humanity from eternity past, thru present into eternity future, determined that His Purpose shall never be frustrated by the inherent iniquity of flawed-fickled-fleshy-lust-filled mankind!

Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two inchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of The Hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this Hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:17-19

Beloved, standing firmly on the Immutability of God’s Word, gives us the leverage to embrace every situation with confident assurance that we’re never alone and God is always in control. Relax! Remember this ain’t your first rodeo, right? A quick glance over your shoulders will remind us that our Heavenly Father has always been our very Present Help, constantly undergirding our inabilities with His Infinite Excellence!

History declares that we’re surrounded by clouds of witnesses who’ve gone before us, therefore, we imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises! (Hebrews 6:12) 

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

Remember, My child, when it seems as if the odds are stacked against the righteous—GOD’S AT HIS BEST! FAITHFUL…IF HE DID IT B4, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN!  #seriously

SELAH Daily Devotions!

And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8

 

Back in the olden days, there was a street game (Yes, we actually played outside) and while the name of the game escapes me, I do remember the rules. We’d find a fresh yellow flower, which was no small feat in the hood, and then we’d proceed to slowly pull each individual golden petal apart from the stem while chanting the words,“He loves me…He loves me not…He loves me…He loves me not…HE LOVES ME!”
 
That’s exactly how some of us authenticate our relationship with Jesus! When our circumstances are all good (just as we like them), “He loves me”. Howevrrrr, when situations suddenly shift beyond our comfort level and/or ability to control, “He loves me not!”
 
Where did this come from? Let’s consider our first parents, Adam and Eve. When they obeyed the Voice of God, they enjoyed paradise—living life to the fullest. Everything they desired was theirs for the picking without their even asking. However the moment they began to doubt God’s faithfulness and willfully defied God’s instructions, they were thrust into an environment that God never intended for them to experience. The confident intimacy of God’s Presence was ruptured and for the first time, they found themselves radically disconnected, attempting to hide themselves from the Eternal Source of Life and Love! The enchantment they once knew was displaced by dread, fear, guilt, shame, doubt and insecurity! 
 
But The Eternal God of Love, refused to let go! The Omniscient Creator came looking for Adam.  
 
Where are you? Today? Are you discouraged and feeling detached from The True Source of Power, Hope, Joy and Peace? Are the cares of this world or un-confessed sin tempting you to hide from your Only Savior, Jesus? 
 
Come out from there! Lift your heart towards The King of Glory and be ye reconciled! (Ref. 2 Corinthians 5:20)
 
Don’tchakno?  When our Heavenly Father sees us, He’s looking at us through Lovingly Blood-Stained Eyes!  
 
Trust for sure, Beloved…Yes, HE LOVES ME, AND YOU!

THE TOUCH!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshiped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live….And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole….But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. Matthew 9:18, 20-21, 25

 

Sometimes, what you know doesn’t always get you where you want to go! Perhaps that’s why there’s so much emphasis placed on social media networking today. You’d probably be amazed at how quickly certain doors that were once off-limits to you could now be opened to you, if you have the right connections, huh?

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual, huh? According to today’s scripture text, one day a certain ruler came to Jesus, standing in proxy for his daughter who was on the brink of death. Yet, despite of this tremendously desperate situation and the looming circumstantial evidence starring him in his face, taunting him to ‘just accept it; it’s too late, you waited too long; you might as well just go home and bury your baby gurl’, our text says that this local official, mounting up some audacious-faith, came bowing down and crying out  “Jesus, if you would come to my house and simply touch my daughter, she will live!” Jesus recognized that this man’s astonishing-faith expectantly looked beyond the natural, piercing through the impossible, grabbed hold to The Supernatural to acquire that which his heart desired.  Subsequently, The Savior proceeded to follow the ruler home!

On their way, they passed a woman, who’d suffered everyday for the past twelve years from a blood disease that literally left her leaking the very life out of her body! Having heard that Jesus was close by, risking everything, including being stoned to death if she was exposed, she made her way through the crowd, determining within herself to get close enough to put her finger on Jesus’ Robe, knowing that her life would be restored! The Compassionate Jesus, feeling that certain faith-touch, and that corresponding pull on His Anointing, instantaneously released healing from His Being!
Glancing back over the huge gathering, Jesus fixing His eyes on this one woman, whose faith out-shined that of all the spectators, immediately began to comfort and encourage her to not be afraid! At that moment, The Great High Priest assured her that her courageous faith had made a Kingdom Connection. Hence, that which she had believed for, she’d become! Not only was she healed, she was made whole! (Ref. Hebrews 4:14)

Pushing past the nay-sayers, the doubters, the unbelievers and the mockers and continuing on to Jairus’ house, Jesus went to the young damsel’s bedside. Taking her hand, gently pulling her from the gripping clutches of death,  Jesus restores her to life! When the word of Jesus’ miraculous powers spread around town, it sent shock-waves of gossipers pouring through the streets and the surrounding regions proclaiming that The Kingdom of Heaven has come to dwell in the earth!

Be encouraged my precious ones! Regardless of what it looks like and despite how long you’ve had to endure this present situation, always remember NOW IS NOT ALWAYS! This test, trial, tragedy or temptation is only temporary! BUT JESUS IS NOT! (Ref. Romans 8:17-18)

Precious one, as a fellow-partaker of the Divine Faithfulness of our Holy Redeemer, I adjure you to not allow temporal facts to distract you from The Truth! Stay focused on Jesus, The Eternal King, The Great Apostle and High Priest of our confession! (Ref. Hebrew 3:1) NO WORD FROM GOD WILL EVER FAIL! (Ref. Luke 1:37)

Beloved, GOD IS STILL LOOKING FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO STRETCH THEIR FAITH WELL BEYOND THAT WHICH CAN BE SEEN, HEARD AND EVEN IMAGINED! TODAY, IF YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP,  I ENCOURAGE YOU TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE HEART OF THE COMPASSIONATE SAVIOR!
