“The Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies, Israel’s GOD; “Go ahead! Put your burnt offering with all of your other sacrifical offerings and make a good meal for yourselves. I sure don’t want them! When I delivered your ancestors out of Egypt, I never said anyting to them about wanting burnt offerings and sacrifices as such.
BUT I did say this, commanded this: “OBEY ME. DO WHAT I SAY AND I WILL BE YOUR GOD AND YOU WILL BE MY PEOPLE. LIVE THE WAY I TELL YOU. DO WHAT I COMMAND SO THAT YOUR LIVES WILL GO WELL.”

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Timothy 2:19 
 

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Psalm 11:3 

 

God has given to those who have placed their personal trust in The Blood of Jesus for the saving of their souls, exceedingly great and precious promises!  Those of us who never ever believed that they could be invited to partake of so GREAT A SALVATION,  have latched on to this Blessed Hope as if our very lives depended upon it–and it does!  While rejoicing is indeed in order, it’s also important that we not indulge in THE WORD like it’s a smorgasbord… ‘eat’ the text we like and discard those that we don’t!
 
According to The Holy Writ, certain Promises are specifically-reserved for those who are walking daily in Christ with GOD!  “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3) 

God recognizes those who have been called to Him by their willingness to submit to His Will and whosoever chooses to obey His Word, receive The Promises!

May I submit for your consideration that everybody that’s in the church building ain’t necessarily in Christ?  #OHNOSHEDIDN’T…OHYESSHEDID!

Some people can be religious (or as the Millennials say, SPIRITUAL) but not in an intimate relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ! Many may believe that the Bible is the Word of God, yet they don’t believe that it’s talking to them! Others may believe that God has power, however don’t essentially believe that God has the Power to change their lives!

Unfortunately, all of the blame is not on the people but must be shared by those in leadership in churches that have watered-down the Living Word in order to fill the pews, appease the congregation and appear more palatable to the world!  #ijs…Seriously?

I know, with so many opinions being perpetuated into our spirits from various medias, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to sift thru the fake news in an effort to decipher Truth from the fictitious, fabricated to manipulate the unsuspecting for personal gain! Hence, it behooves the true seekers to let every man be a liar and GOD BE THE TRUTH!

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Seasons change, opinions change, customs change, methods change BUT God’s Message will never change!

The Bible, aka The Eternal Word of God, plainly declares and decrees — If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

While the New Millennium church is reaching forward and pressing on to get wherever we’re going, please don’t lose Jesus!  Remember, it doesn’t matter how high we go in this life, we’ll never get above GOD. #Didjaheardat?

For He knows them that are His!  JUS KEEP’N IT 100!

And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. Deuteronomy 8:2

 

Someone once said, “God allows tests, trials and trouble to hyjack a Believer’s life in order to build up your faith”! Well, I’m not trying to dispute the validity of that train of thought, but simply contemplating, with all of the Hell the Saints have been going through lately, seems to me we ought to have a whole lot of ‘buff’ specimens prancing around our neighborhoods, huh? Justhinking, yall!

According to our scripture text, God delayed the Israelites entering and taking possession of The Promised Land for 40 years, right? Strangely enough, only two of the original slaves who were miraculously delivered out of Egyptian bondange actually crossed over into Caanaan. Joshua and Caleb. It was God’s testimony that they had a different spirit! (Ref. Number 14:24)

Evidently, God recognized that unlike all the others who had personally experienced the Awesome Powerful Providential care of God, these two trusted God, were relying wholeheartedly upon His Word, regardless of what contradictory circumstancial evidence suggested.

As I always say, ‘don’t be so hard on the Israelites’! After all, how often have you (so-called name-it-and-claim it-blabb-it-and-grab-it-disciples) latched hold to The Promises of God without taking into consideraton the process of transformation that must take place to prepare you for the manifestation? And remember how frustrated and anxious you got when God didn’t do things the way you expected Him to? We won’t even mention the complaints and accusations! Seriously?

Trust to know, God’s never the problem! Whatever God says IS!

When God says you’re delivered, you’re delivered. Obviously there’s something innately inscribed in our DNA that causes us to adapt to a worldly psychology ‘just open up the door and I can get it myself’. By the way, how’s that working for you? I know, right? Just when you thought you had it all together, here comes something you never expected! And try as you might, you can’t seem to work your way out of this wilderness mess, huh?

But hold up! God never intended you to live independently of Godself! That’s why He sent Jesus! He wants to take you farther, bless you more and keep you longer than you could ever go alone!

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Sometimes, you become so fixated on what you want, what you think and how you feel that you’re blinded to The Pillar of Fire and The Cloud that’s right before your eyes. So get over yourself!

Come to think of it, God was with them all the time, yet those who failed to Glorify Him as The Most High God, missed their opportunity to inhabit the Promised Land! #OMG!!!

WHATZ IN YOUR SPIRIT? GOD ALREADY KNOWS! DO U KNO?

THE FAITHFUL DELIVERER!

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delliverth him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

 

The Bible doesn’t lie to us! Neither does it sugarcoat the challenges facing our spirit to overcome a myriad of human experiences! The Scriptures reveal numerous accounts where God’s people found themselves in dire straits and having no other recourse, but to cry out to The Lord their God!

It’s been suggested that David penned today’s scripture text, reminiscing back to a time where, once again, he found himself  having to flee from King Saul’s armies, being surrounded by his enemies, and narrowly escaping with his life. And here again, David testifies of God’s miraculous deliverance. (Ref. 1 Samuel 21:10-15)

We see The Apostle Paul declaring in 2 Timothy 3:12…’Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution,’ echoing David’s sentiment as he encourages his young protégée, Timothy, to expect afflictions and persecution as you walk with Jesus Christ.

The Bible never tells us that after we make the decision to live holy as unto The Lord, that we can just relax on a flowery bed of ease. Quite the opposite! Your very life becomes a reproof to those who do not live a Godly lifestyle and testifies against the Godlessness in others.

Afflictions, denotes suffering, pain and trouble that lasts for a loooong time. And many of us can raise both our hands and kick up our heels to attest to that fact ; YES!  We have been enduring afflictions, persecution, pain and trouble for what seems a long time. Nevertheless, I come to remind the saints of God that we do have a remedy for every single one of life’s maladies.

Psalm 34:17 says …“The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

As believers, we’ve been instructed to walk by faith, not feelings or fear! It’s during these night seasons when you can’t see God’s Hand,  when you truly learn to trust His Heart and His Plan! No matter what you may be experiencing now, whether its physical, mental, financial or spiritual affliction, my precious sista, brother we can all rest assured because our God is always just one prayer away!

Your Adversary, Satan, feeds on your fear and works over-time to convince you that what’s now will be forever. BUT! As usual,  the devil is a liar and he ain’t running nuffin!  In fact, God knows exactly where you are and  before He allowed you to enter into this season of testings and trails, HE HAS PREDETERMINED THE EXACT MOMENT OF YOUR DELIVERANCE!  #didjaheardat? Oh Yeah! AIN’T NOBODY GOD BUT GOD! 

You must never allow intimidating circumstances to lure you away from Abba’s Love!  Commit yourself to The Sovereignty of The Lord Almighty. Afterall,  He’s The One Who says when enough is enough!

PRECIOUS ONE, BECAUSE GOD HAS COMMITTED HIMSELF TO FAITHFULLY DELIVER HIS CHILDREN, WHO CAN PREVENT HIM? #juskeepinit100–flatout!

THE LONGING!

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. Philippians 3:10

 

One of the most intriguing topical discussions amongst expectant mothers and women who have become mothers (besides swapping labor stories) is the abnormally-intensified cravings that we experience during pregnancy awaiting the birth of their bundle of joy!

While, at this writing, my eldest is 47 years old, yet, I can still summon up that daily occurrence of overwhelming intensity, provoking me to walk my big-belly-self five city blocks up to MLK Avenue to get my hands around a 6 in., lettuce and tomatoes, fried onions, mayo and mustard, salt and pepper, heavily-loaded with pickles steak and cheese sandwich. This became such a ritual that the moment I wobbled through the threshold of the deli, the cashier would holla to the cook “Steak and Cheese Special for the big lady”. And off I’d be to our little apartment on Oakwood Street, five blocks back, just as happy as if I’d discovered a treasure chest filled with diamonds and gold. Somehow, the journey back never seemed as difficult or as long, perhaps because I’d be that much closer to relishing the second I’d take my first bite of my bounty! Oh my, what we won’t do for love, huh?

Well guess what? That’s exactly how believers ought to be in our quest for Jesus Christ! We see this truth evidenced in the life of The Apostle Paul. We can almost feel the earnest urgency with which The Apostle sought after his personal, intimate- knowing and understanding of “The True One” Who had apprehended him on the Damascus Road. (Ref. Acts 9) It was as if Paul was driven by an uncommonly unique passionate desire that set him on a course that remains unchartered territory to even the most astutely-religious 21st Century church-goers today.

Yet, there is that remnant of us whose yearning for more JESUS consumes most of our waking moments and often invading our nights with dreams and images of His Awesomeness. Imagine my surprise at the realization that not everyone in the church shares this delight-filled insatiable lusting for The Living Water and The Bread of Life!

This could very well explain why some who profess Christ, are content with following Him a far off while others are compelled to dig-out the secret treasures hidden in The Word of God, diligently, intentionally searching the Scriptures daily that they might know HIM in ways that may never be actualized by the second-handed-casually-acquainted follower—experientially! (Ref. Acts 17:11)

The Word of God is Alive and gives life to any who have a desire for The God Who Speaks revealing GOD-SELF through His Auto-Biography, inscribed through Genesis into Revelation, that all who seek Him with all of their hearts, minds, spirit, soul and body may know HIM (TRUTH) intimately. Sadly, not everyone who calls Him Savior seek Him as Lord, huh? #ijs Yall!

Therefore, much to their own sorrow, they miss out on the true wealth and reward of a personal, dynamic, GOD-involved relationship that awaits us who lend our hearts and attention to discovering The Father in the face of His First-Begotten Son, Jesus! (Ref. Colossians 1:15-16)

My precious one, seeking God, although often challenging, should never become be a chore! However, it is vindictive of the level of love, faith and commitment towards Him!

 “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” (Psalm 34:8)

HENCE, WHATEVER POSITION GOD OCCUPIES IN YOUR HEART DETERMINES HIS PRESENCE IN YOUR LIFE! HOW BAD DO YOU WANT HIM? LONGING?

“While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live….And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole….But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.” Matthew 9:18, 20-21, 25

Sometimes, what you know doesn’t always get you where you want to go! Perhaps that’s why there’s so much emphasis placed on social networking today. You’d probably be amazed at how quickly certain doors that were once off-limits to you could now be opened to you, if you have the right connections, huh?

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual, huh? According to today’s scripture text, one day a certain ruler came to Jesus standing in proxy for his daughter who had just died. Yet, despite of this tremendously desperate situation and the looming circumstantial evidence starring him in his face, taunting him to ‘just accept it’; it’s too late’, ‘you waited too long’; you might as well just accept the fact and go home and bury your baby gurl, the text says that this local official mounting up some audacious-faith, came bowing crying out to Jesus saying, “Jesus, if you would come to my house and simply touch my daughter, she will live!” Jesus recognizing that this man’s astonishing-faith expectantly looked beyond the natural, piercing through the impossible, grabbed hold to The Supernatural to acquire that which his heart desired. Jesus proceeded to follow the ruler home!

On their way, they passed a woman, suffering from a blood disease that literally left her leaking the very life out of her body, everyday for the past twelve years! Having heard that Jesus was close by, risking everything, including being stoned to death if she was exposed, she made her way through the crowd, determining in herself to get close enough to put her finger on Jesus’ Robe, knowing that her life would be restored. Jesus recognizing that certain faith-touch, and that corresponding pull on His Anointing, instantaneously released healing from His Being.

Jesus, glancing back over the huge gathering, fixed His eyes on this one woman, whose faith out-shined that of all the spectators, immediately began to comfort and encourage her to not be afraid! At that moment, The Great High Priest assured her that her courageous faith had made a Kingdom Connection. Hence, that which she had believed for, she’d become! Not only was she healed, she was made whole! (Ref. Hebrews 4:14)

Continuing on to Jairus’ house, pushing past the nay-sayers, the doubters, the unbelievers and the mockers, Jesus went to the young damsel’s bedside. Taking her hand gently, pulling her from the gripping clutches of death, He restores her to life! When the word of Jesus’ miraculous powers spread around town, it sent shock-waves of gossipers pouring through the streets and the surrounding regions proclaiming that The Kingdom of Heaven has come to dwell in the earth!

Be encouraged my precious ones! Regardless of what it looks like, despite how long you’ve had to endure this present situation, it’s just temporary! ( Ref. Romans 8:17-18) BUT JESUS IS NOT!

As fellow-partakers of the faith, “keep your focus on Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession”. (Ref. Hebrew 3:1)

GOD IS STILL LOOKING FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO STRETCH THEIR FAITH WELL BEYOND THAT WHICH CAN BE SEEN, HEARD AND EVEN IMAGINED! TOUCH THE HEART THE COMPASSIONATE SAVIOR! …STAY IN TOUCH!
