This parable, commonly dubbed “The Parable of the Rich Young Ruler” is recorded in the each of the synoptic gospels. Most of the time when it’s preached, one of the first things that comes to our minds is “Oh shucks, here they go again trying to get my money”! But, hold on…there’s more meat to pick from that bone then our money!

Face it, every day ain’t the same! Is that ever an understatement! When was the last time you popped out of bed, headed for the gates, fortified with the zeal to take over anything or anyone who dared to challenge your God-ordained authority in the earth! Dat long, huh?

One morning I received an email that took me back to an all too familiar place! As I read  on, I immediately realized that the lost sheep could very well had been me. Feel free to eavesdrop on the conversation,…
 
 “In the early 1980s I counseled a Christian young woman who was languishing in deep spiritual, mental and emotional torment. She wrote:
 
“Dear God, Where are you? How can you watch and not help me? I hurt so bad, and you don’t even care. If you cared you’d make it stop or let me die. I love you, but you seem so far away. I can’t hear you or feel you or see you, but I’m supposed to believe you’re here. Lord, I feel them and hear them. They are here. I know you’re real, God, but they are more real to me right now. Please make someone believe me, Lord. Why won’t you make it stop? Please, lord, please! If you love me you’ll let me die…A lost sheep”
 
I deal with many Christians who are filled with such confusion that their daily walk with Christ is unfulfilling and unproductive. When they try to pray, they begin thinking about a million things they should be doing. When they sit down to read the bible, they can’t concentrate. Whenever they have an opportunity to serve the Lord in some way, it comes up short by discouraging thoughts of self-doubt.
 
Having found freedom and deliverance, “the lost sheep” penned a response to her own prayer based on her new understanding of God’s provision in Christ.
 
“My dear lost sheep, You ask me where I am. My child, I am with you and I always will be. You are weak, but in me you are strong. I am so close that I feel everything you feel. Be crucified with me and I will live in you, and you shall live with me. I will direct you in paths of righteousness. My child, I love you and I will never forsake you, for you are truly mine…Love, God”
 
#CANWETALK?  Fortunately, the covers have been lifted and the stigma that once keep many suffering in silence and isolated by guilt and shame are not able to seek medical help  that was once shunned by the world, even by the church! Beloved, the struggle is real, BUT GOD’S LOVE IS GREATER!   By The Grace of God, while I too have experienced the freedom of  being delivered from the tormenting trauma and enslavement due to  clinical depression; however I will never everrrr forget to remember How Great A Salvation that The Lord wrought in my life!  I thank God for the medication that kept me long enough for God to get a hold of my mind, Divinely interrupting the forces of darkness, rebuking the lies and shining the Light of The Gospel of Jesus Christ into my spirit thereby transforming my being from death to LIFE!
 
It’s incumbent upon us to remember, this is not heaven, the devil is still a liar and God’s Word is Truth!  #IJS! If the saints are feeling the heat of the devil’s wicked devises, can you imagine what he’s putting the unsaved through? #EXACTLY!!!

Saints, ask God to open the eyes of your heart that you may see who’s hurting around you. If the whole world’s coming out the closet, we certainly can’t afford to be closet Christians! 

We have an awesome responsibility and an obligation to be the Love, Compassion and Hope of Christ to a lost generation! HENCE, You ought to tell one somebody that there is a Hope that’s out of this world…I mean, really?
 
C’mon nah! JUS TELL ‘EM…His Name is JESUS and He’s ALWAYS JUS A PRAYER AWAY!

GOOD MORNING FAM! GOTTA MOMENT? AWEMAAZING!
We are excited and grateful that you’ve joined us once again in our Thursdays’ Corporate Fasting and Prayer! We’re eternally thankful to our Father, God for give us one more day to embrace and enjoy the Wonders of His Glory! We rejoice in The Hope that His Eyes are watching and His Ears are attentive to hear and intervene on our behalf as we enter into His Courts with praise and thanksgiving for You Alone are The Source of all everything that we will ever need in this life and the life to come!

What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grieves to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Oh what peace we often forfeit of what needless pain we bear; All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer…

O Come let us kneel before our Maker, as we acknowledge that we’re bowing before A GREAT GOD, The GOD above all gods; The King of kings and Lord of lords! We cry out, Abba Fathers, we come to The Ancient of Days, The Creator and Sustainer of every living creature…

Abba Father, we bless You for this new day, filled with Mercy and Grace to preserve us through any and every challenge that You allow to befall us today. We Thank You for Your inseparable Lovingkindness that continues to look beyond the iniquities of our frail, faulty, the fickleness of our fleshy frame and to forgive us for every sin that we do, speak or think that violates Your Holy Kingdom Commandments! As we confess our sins before You, we thank You now for this undeserved favor that we have inherited through The Sacrificial Atoning Blood of Your First-Begotten Son, In The Majestic Name of Jesus! Amen 3x!!!

Heavenly Father, we come, humbled by Your Everlasting Love, yet boldly in agreement with Kingdom Authority, recognizing that we’re living in the last of the last days and that while the enemy of our souls has launched a full-fledged attack against The Body of Christ and The Name of Jesus we know that You have sworn by God-Self to never leave nor forsake us!

Therefore, Father, we thank You for the antidote that allows all those who love You and Your Ways, having no other mind, to stand steadfast, immovable always abounding in Your Will and Your Word! We thank You for the honor and privilege afforded us as You teach us to war against the Satanic hosts, to come before You, earnestly seeking Your Presence and finding help and hope to overcome every weapon that’s formed against us! For You O Lord are The Rock of our Salvation, and there’s nothing too hard for OUR GOD! 

Sweet Holy Spirit, we come warring in the Spirit of Worship, thanking You for leading and guiding us, for You are our Great High Priest, and even when we don’t know what or how to pray, You intervene on our behalf, interpreting every moan and the groanings of our hearts today and presenting it to our Father!

Precious Lord, You , our Omniscient God, know everything about us! You know the battles that we’re facing, not just in our physical bodies but even in our minds! We ask that You rebuke the spirits of overwhelming fear, confusion, frustration, intimidation and condemnation that are enticing Your people to draw-back from the purpose, plan and things of God! We release The Blessing of God into the lives of Your people who are fainting even perishing for lack of vision. We speak deliverance from every opposing spirit and we declare victory as we put the enemy under our feet and stand in our rightful place as Children of Light, in Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

We rebuke every spirit that keeps your people shackled and cowardly silenced by the cares of this world. We pray against spirits of distractions, ungodly soul-ties, discords, divisions, illicit relationships, adulterous relationships and we resist the enemy’s power to hold Your people incarcerated in failure and defeat! Therefore we declare and decree that chains are being broken now as You are opening the door of escape in the Spirit, in Jesus Name! IT IS SO!

Abba Father, forgive us for failing in your Great Commission as we’ve become lackadaisical in our obligation, responsibility and yes, even our desire to plead for souls! Help Your church to remember that Jesus died for souls! Father we pray for the lost who have yet to receive Your Grace-filled Salvation! We ask that You quicken their hearts with a Spirit of Godly-Repentance allowing them to cry out to You for Salvation today! We pray for the backsliders who have for whatever reason, turned away from The Only Savior and left the Ark of Your Grace! Father, put a fresh “COMMITED YES” in their hearts and minds today, lead them back to the Altar and restore them back to Righteousness in Christ Jesus!

Father, please forgive us for succumbing to the culture of this world and allowing it to infiltrate the Church causing us to lust and store up the treasures of this world, the money, cars, houses, land, designer clothes, shoes, the latest electronic devices, hence, longing for the power, prestige and praises and approval of men, rather than focusing on establishing Your Kingdom in the earth!

Father, as our Good Shepherd, You instructed us to “Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God and all these other things would be added to us” We know that it brings pleasure to Your Heart that Your children prosper and be in good health, especially our souls! You promised that if we would faithfully walk upright before You, no good thing would be withheld from us!

Holy Father, we thank You for being Jehovah Rophe, The Lord our Healer therefore, as we lift up all who are being afflicted by physical diseases, spiritual and mental dis-eases! According to Your delegated Power and Authority, to declare and decree a thing according to Your Word and it has to come to past, in The Name of Jesus, we therefore rebuke, quarantine, bind and cast-out pancreatic, throat, breast, lung, liver, kidney, blood , brain, colon, bladder, uterus, rectal, stomach cancer, and confine it under The Blood of JESUS NOW! We RELEASE healing, wholeness, deliverance, quick and immediate recovery in The Holy Ghost, to hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation and dialysis centers, operating rooms, chemotherapy and psychiatric wards and prisons!

We’re believing that even as You walked in this earth healing all who were sick, feeble, lame we know that You’re still Well Able to do the same right now! Lord Jesus, Your Word declares that by Your stripes we have been redeemed and healed and we’re yet standing on Your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we thank You for moving in our situations, doctor reports, court cases, employment issues and turning them around! We come against unsettled minds and according to Your Word, as we bring them to You in prayer and supplications with Thanksgiving, making everything known to You, we have the courageous confidence that everything that the enemy meant for evil, You are making it turn around for our highest good and Your Greatest Glory even before we see it manifested! We Shout HALLELUJAH!!!

Precious Jesus, hear us as we’re praying for our families, our secular and religious leaders. We intercede on behalf of all those who have submitted their lives, determined to Let the Kingdom of Heaven reign in and thru their lives and their ministries! We pray that they will speak Truth to edify and not words of deception in order to manipulate your people! We send the Word of God to their spirits now, anointing them and breaking every fetter that would captivate or hinder them. We speak a Spirit of Freedom, in The Holy Ghost, to those who are discouraged, discontent, fainthearted by worry and wearied in well-doing! We speak deliverance to every wounded spirit, troubled tormented minds, those that would entertain demonic enduced thoughts of suicide and murder, that desire to overtake our young people! My brother, my sista be Ye lifted up! Every hung-down head we Ye lifted up and receive an inner revelation of who and Whose they are in Christ Jesus!

Abba Father, we lift our children and our young people as they prepare to return to day-care facilities, elementary, middle/high schools, college campuses and we declare over them, as the carriers of our Magnificence and Glory, that they are saved, sanctified, walking free of fear and anxiety for their lives and personal safety. We rebuke the bullying spirits! We pray that our children will be equipped with keen discernment and will be able to recognize what it of You and what is of Satan! We thank You for the gifts of the Spirit that You have deposited within them, and that they shall be encouraged and utilized as You make room for them! Father, we pray that You keep their hearts and minds in perfect peace, let them be filled with hope for a awesome future that You have purposed for their lives while they were hidden in their Mothers’ wombs!

Sweet Holy Spirit, as we commit them into Your Providential care, realizing that You have a plan and purpose for their lives too., we have the Blessed Assurance that their steps are being ordered by Your eyes! Therefore we speak The Peace of God over their spirits, minds and bodies releasing a spirit of Love, Holiness and Excellence to fulfill their God ordained destiny!We cover them in The Blood-Stained Banner of Your Love even as we speak Salvation, Deliverance and Prosperity over their lives!We command the Blessings of God to follow them!
We pray for the grieving parents who lost their children to senseless violence! We ask that You comfort their hearts and minds, rebuke guilt, shame, doubt and regret for decisions that we might’ve made in their past concerning their children! We ask that You send a Spirit of Confident Assurance that as You graciously allow each of us to grow from Faith to Faith and Grace to Grace, our knowledge of You is enlarged enabling us to be transformed by the renewing our minds, proving what is that good, acceptable and perfect Will of God for our lives! And for this cause we Thank You Lord Jesus!

We pray for the leaders of this nation and the world. Lord, we ask that You touch those who don’t know You, fear nor regard You as Lord! Break up the fallow ground, prick their stony arrogant hearts with a spirit of humility that allows them to hear Your Voice even as You speak to them in dreams and visions! Cast down the spirit of high-mindedness, self-righteousness, carnality and pride! Let them come running to You, repenting and asking forgiveness, and seeking You for personal Salvation!

Father, as always, we recognize that there’s so much more that we should ask, but we are trusting that Holy Spirit is yet stirring up the hearts and minds of those who are professing Your Name to pray without ceasing! We ask that You release upon our hearts, an ever-burning desire for an even greater personal, intimate relationship through fellowship with Holy Spirit, that we might prove what is the perfect and acceptable Will of The Lord Jesus!

Lord Jesus, Your children, the apple of Your Eye, await Your Salvation, in patient confidence and quietness, rejoicing in hope and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling, suddenly departing in shameful defeat, recognizing that You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne, therefore we’re trusting that we shall inherit the Promises of GOD!
Abba Father, because You have Sovereignly chosen and drawn us near that we might dwell safety and secure in Your House eternally, we rejoice in thanksgiving, as we align our spirits, soul and body with You Eternal Word! We bow in obedient reverence before The Hope of all the earth, believing that as Your face shines upon us that, You are making Your Ways and Salvation known among all nations!

We delight ourselves in You, The Eternal Father, Who Guides and Rules Justly, believing that at Your Appointed Time…IT IS DONE! In The Exalted Name of Jesus we offer up this prayer, Sealed in The Holy Ghost with a HOLY Alleleujah! Amen 3X!

I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me…He brought me out into a spacious place, he rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalm 18:16-17, 19

 
Let’s be honest, k? Looking at the state of this New millennium society,  many of God’s elect find ourselves confronted by circumstances that challenge the very foundation of our trust! We’re seeing things that were once believed unimaginable realized right before our very eyes! Our hearts are overwhelmed by the swiftness of the degradation of the core of humanity’s morality! While wisdom is largely rejected and Shame is nearly extinct, Arrogance and Deceit have become the new order of the day! Thereby  emboldening mankind to do whatever seems right in his own mind!  While we dare not confess, either publically or privately, truthfully, many seasoned-saints are secretly fainting, wearied in well-doing and longing for the Promised Rapture!

Rarely do you find the sacred sounds flowing from the sanctuaries on Sunday mornings, noon day prayer meetings and Friday nites where the people of God once gathered to call on The Name that’s above every name before erupting into exuberant praises and worship-filled celebrations of real deliverances wrought by The Faithful Hand of The Lord!  Apparently, the induction of the more sophisticated-politically-correct-con temporal-relevant- reformations of Millenniums have subrocated many of the ol’ skool teachings, songs and hymns to backroom storage in dusty piano benches in order to make the message more palatable to the masses! #ijs #Don’tshoutmedownnah!

Unfortunately, there are some troubles, tests and trials that you can’t STOMP yourself out of or BOUNCE your way thru! Time is hurling into Eternity at the speed of life and 45 seconds of the nitely news affirms that we’re living in the last of the last days! As the institutions of men are being shaken by sporadic turbulent waves of the wisdom of this age, it’s incumbent upon each of us to be very sure that our souls are firmly anchored in The Solid Rock!

As the ol’ Mothers used to sanng, ‘In times like this, U Need a Savior, in times like this, U need an Anchor! Thanks Be 2 God, there’s yet a remnant of believers who are crying out, “Lead Me to The Rock that’s higher than I’! As satanic fiery darts continue to spread globally, consuming dreams, diminishing aspirations and devastating families, we must earnestly bend our knees and bow our hearts Heaven-ward, seeking refuge in the secret  pavilion of The Most High God!

For in the time of trouble, we hide behind The Shield of our very Present Help who faithfully rescues those who delight in His Truth!  Driven by The Eternal Hope, our souls rest assured in quietness, peace and joy, awaiting the The Horn of our Salvation, courageously-confident that God’s Power is Incomparable, His Love is Inseparable and His Provision and Protection are Infinite!

Sshhhhh! Didjaheardat? SOMEONE’S CALLING YOUR NAME!

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Beloved, whenever life’s maladies leave you too weak to stand on your own, chances are you’re right where God wants you! Positioned for breakthrough! Remember, God never intended you to do life independent of GODSELF, that’s why He sent Holy Spirit!  “TRUST2KNO…U CAN  ALWAYS LEAN ON ME!”

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Psalm 65:1-2

We have thought, “O God, on Your lovingkindness, in the midst of Your temple.According to Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice. Let the daughters of Judah be glad, Because of Your judgments. Psalm 48:9-11

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. Psalm 134:2

 

Being Pentecostal, born and bred, means that I am accustomed, and I might add, an extremely willing participant, to exuberant praise and worship. So can you imagine my surprise, to discover that God-Honored Adoration is not necessarily limited to loud singing, hand-clappin’, foot-stomppin, shoutin’ and dancing to drum thumping, key-board tickling, guitar pick’n tunes escalating His Glory!

WHOKNU? There is a high praise in God, where the weary souls, thirsty and hungry for an escape from the chaos and confusion of this world’s clamor, finding rest, peace, security, strength and hope, fall prostrate into HIS PRESENCE!

There’s a secret place, a Cleft hued out in The Impregnable Rock of Salvation, where mere words are no longer necessary, and sighs are welcomed, giving way to hope-filled silence, birthing unspoken-bellows of acceptable obedient prayers and God-Centered Praise and Worship!

There is an epiphany where we all must ascribe to reach in God, where we practice appreciation and respect for HIM by disciplining ourselves, focusing our minds and making a conscious decision that regardless of my circumstances, I’m going to Bless God—not just for all of His Goodness to me—BUT for WHO HE IS!

In this lofty estate, time spent waiting on The Lord is no longer full of anxious frustration, but quiet peaceful resting in child-like confident anticipation, trusting that you’re being kept safely, far from your conspirators’ reach, hidden in The Glory of His WONDEROUS PRESENCE.

As God’s Chosen, you’re surrounded by a Fortress, whose Builder and Maker is The Creator of The Universe, where we can breathe easily, waiting patiently, for as long as HE says,  fully assured that everything we will ever need and hope for comes from HIM—JESUS!

#DIDJAHEARDAT? The Holy Spirit is calling! Be still, in that ‘Peace-Filled-Knowing’ that all of your Help and Hope of Glory abides in The All-Powerful God,  EL SHADDAI…your FATHER AND your GOD!  NOW THAT’S A HIGHER PRAISE! #WOW #AWEMAAZIN, huh?

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mark 8:36-37

 

“Time is filled with swift transition, Naught of earth unmoved can stand, Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God’s unchanging hand.” (saanngn yall)
 
Remember that one? Probably not! It’s  the first verse to one of my favorite Gospel hymns (by Jennie Bain Wilson)! This song probes the core of every mortal’s soul provoking either aggravating or consoling intentional thought concerning its eternal destination!

While some would prefer to dismiss the  inevitable potency of its reality, there’s absolutely no escaping it. The most precious commodity in the earth is not silver, gold, oil or even real estate—BUT TIME!

While this New Millennium Theology teaches “time is money”; but I beg to differ!

Time is much more valuable than mere mammon. Granted you’d probably never notice the slightest hint of this, given the social media’s promotion of the extravagant lifestyles of the rich and famous. Nevertheless, I think it not robbery to propose that if you’d ask any one of this world’s wealthiest man or woman,  retrospectfully glancing back over their life’s times achievements, how much they’d be willing to barter for one solitary moment of unrefined, unrequited love; one night of tranquil serene rest unhindered by foreboding betrayal; one day of normality without drug induced sense of well-being, many would ardently confess—“ALL…I’D GIVE UP ALL!”

Hence, that’s the crucible of every one of our lives! What makes life meaningful and more importantly what in this life that’s truly worth dying for?  “If in this life only we have hope, we are of all men most miserable.” 1 Corinthians 15:19.

But! Thanks Be To God WHO IS A MASTER ECONOMIST! He dispenses time and talents based on projected recompense. (Ref. Matthew 25:14-30)  Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” (Romans 2:4, NKJV).  GOD FORBID!


Beloved, we have been given the gift of time called ‘TODAY’ to fulfill God’s Purpose for our lives, one day and one step at a time!

Someone once said (and I am not quoting) “The only thing that’s certain is uncertainty. Life is change and change is growth and growth is evolving into the ‘being’ that God has created in us”. 

Sounds like a wise person would count up the cost and build your life on things eternal, huh? #ijs

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
 
BELOVED, TIME WAITS 4 NO MAN; DON’T WASTE IT—LIVE LIFE TO LAST ETERNALLY! REMEMBER, AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S ALL ABOUT TIME!

We’re grateful that He so graciously extends The Scepter in our direction, encouraging us to come before His Presence with Thanksgiving, confident that even as we pray, He’s listening to our hearts, determined to perfect every one of our cares as we release them unto His Sovereign Will for our lives.
Lead me! Guide me along the way. Lord, if you lead me I won’t go astray. Lord, help me walk each day with Thee! Lead me O Lord, lead me! Down in my soul, cries HOLY! Down in my soul, cries HOLY! Down in my soul, in my sanctified soul, down in my soul cries HOLY! Welcome Holy Spirit! We are in Your Presence! Fill us with Your Power! Live inside of me! Unto Thee, O Lord, WE LIFT UP OUR SOULS…

Our Father and our God, we come before Your Presence once again, offering up Holy Praise unto The God of our Salvation, Deliverance, Hope, Joy and Peace. To The Only Wise God Who has called us unto Thine Kingdom, embracing us as “MINE”! We thank You for this day that You have gifted us to see in the land of the Living! We count it pure joy entrusting that Thy Hand has already prepared everything that we need pertaining to life and Godliness! For this cause, we bow humbly before Thy Throne of Mercy and Grace!

We come, boldly today lifting up The Name of Jesus, fully aware that it’s The Only Name that gives us access to Your Kingdom! We bless that Wonderful Name that You’ve told us to run into to find Refuge in the time of trouble! We bless The Name of Jesus for The Atoning Sacrificial death, burial and resurrection that He suffered in order that we might be engrafted into The Kingdom of God and to become partakers of the Tree of Eternal Life! Not because of anything we’ve done or could ever do, but because of The Price Jesus volunteered to pay to ransom that we owed setting us free from clutches of Sin and Satan! Because You loved us too much to live without us, You endured the penalty and punishment in our stead! For this cause, Precious Jesus we’re eternally grateful! Therefore, as we commit our lives wholly unto You, holy, acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, as the only reasonable response to such Lovingkindness!

We thank You Lord, for forgiving us of  every deed, though, word, willfully or unwillfully that has transgressed against Your Perfect Righteousness! We’re confident that as we confess them from a heart of sincere Godly-repentance, You are Faithful and Just to forgive us, casing our sin in the sea of forgetfulness, washing us in The Precious Sanctifying Blood of Jesus, restoring the breach that our sin has caused, bringing us back into rightstanding as Your Beloved! For this, Sweet Jesus we bow in humble adoration!

Knowing that no man can come to The Father, except He’s drawn by The Holy Spirit, we ask that as Your eyes are roaming through the circle of The Earth, searching the hearts of humanity, prick the hearts of those who’ve yet to see Your Glory in the Face of Jesus, quicken their stony hearts with a Spirit of Godly-Repentance, causing them to confess a “SINCERE YES” accepting Your Amazing Gift of Salvation and Eternal Life! Father, lead and guide them to a local church where they will be welcomed with joy, nurtured, strengthen and encouraged by Kingdom-minded brothers and sisters! We thank You now, believing that it is so we say, AMEN 3X!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we lift up all backsliders, who have been deceived by Satan, luring them back into bondage, having once known You as their personal Lord and Savior! Father, remind them that You’ve Promised that You never given up on them, even if they’ve been tricked into turning their backs to you and walking away from the Only True Savior! Touch their hearts with Your Love, restore their faith that allows them to repent today and place a fresh ‘COMMITTED YES’ to cleave to You for Salvation, Deliverance, Guidance, Strength. Establish their steps to a local church where they will be re-claimed, embraced, rededicated, vowing and endeavoring to live the rest of their lives, every day reflecting the Grace and Mercy of a Loving Father to this dark, lost and desperate world enticing and provoking them to come to know You as their personal Savior and Lord! In Jesus Name we say, AMEN 3x!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we gratefully acknowledge You as Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent God with/IN us! Because You already know everyone of us from the inside out!,You also know that while we seek to please You by faithfully trusting You in every situation You are completely aware of the short-falls of our flesh, having submittied Your Glory to the same flesh, You know tour struggle is real! As our Great High Priest, You understand how we find ourselves overwhelmed and gripped by doubt, anxiety and uncertainty that sometimes forces us to lose or focus!

Lord, You know, the challenges and effects of living in the midst of a society, steeped in the stench of swampy lawlessness, corruption and blatant immorality of these last and evil days has on us! We seek Your help to endure the things that are going on around us! Give us confident hope-filled expectation that while weeping may endure for a night, Joy shall come in the morning!

Abba Fathers, we pray today, from a heart open to, depending and relying only on You for the courage to stand steadfast, immovable, always abiding in The Power of Your Presence, trusting that no weapon that’s formed against us shall prosper! We believe that even when we walk through the valley overshadowed by threatening danger, destruction and death, You yet uphold all things by The WORD OF YOUR POWER and The Hand of Your Righteousness! There is NO OTHER, ABOVE YOU! For You ALONE are Sovereign Ruler and Lord of all the living and the dead!

We entreat Your Comforting Presence into our hearts allowing us to rest assured that nothing happens except You allow it to prove what’s in our hearts! And to establish confidence in Your Eternal Faithful Word! For You in the time of trouble, You have taught us to declare that our hope is not in the temporary things and circumstances nor conditions of this world, But our Hope IS ETERNAL, and remains solidly rooted and anchored in You!

We praise You, Holy Spirit for encouraging our souls to look Heavenward for ALL of our Help comes from The LORD, The Author and Finisher of our Faith! We exalt Your Name and Your Word, high above our thoughts and our ways! For You have preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping!
We praise You for the appointed time when You will reverse the hatred and bigotry in this land and replace it with a Spirit of Unity, Agreement, Love and Soundness of mind! For this cause, we continuously give You the Honor and Praise! Lord, remember those who are going thru a season of sickness and disease, hearts filled with grief and sorrow, those victimized by bullying, institutionalized racism, tormented by Spirits of fear, rejection, disappointment and failure, church hurt, heart wounds, unforgiveness, marital problems, wayward children, divorce, lost of employment, loan/mortgage defaults and bankruptcy! We plead the Blood of Jesus against every demonic thought, spirits of anxiety, panic attacks, oppression, depression, dementia, chaos and confusion! In Jesus Name, we thank You for miracles, healing, restoration and wholeness in every area of our lives!

As we lift up our children, grand-children and great-grand children, help us to remember that such were some of us! But You patiently waited and trained us up in the way that we should go! Father, by faith, we decree and declare that every scheme that Satan desires to inflict upon them, iS HEREBY CANCELLED, and RECOILED! As we commit them into Your providential care, we acknowledge that because Your Plan and Purpose for their lives cannot be over-ruled, we have the blessed assurance that EVERY STEP AND STOP IS BEING ORDERED UNDER THE WATCHFUL CARE OF YOUR EYES AND NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST THEM SHALL PROSPER AND EVERYTHING THAT PERTAINS TO THEIR DESTINY OF LIFE AND GODLINESS IS FULLFILLED! Therefore, WE SPEAK THE PEACE OF GOD OVER THEIR SPIRITS, MINDS AND BODIES, RELEASING A SPIRIT OF LOVE, HOLINESS AND EXCELLENCE TO FULFILL THEIR GOD-ORDAIN DESTINIES, IT IS SO!

Father we lift up every spiritual leader, Apostle, Bishop, Overseer, Pastor, Elder, Preacher, Teacher, Superintendent, Evangelist, Missionary, Deacon and Deaconess who are yet standing on the wall proclaiming Your Word under the conviction and anointing of Holy Spirit! We’re asking for an immediate manifestation of that special miracle for each and every one of them! We ask that You touch the Under-shepherds, anoint them with Your Wisdom to touch, lead and guide Your people. Give them clarity of Your vision for their lives and ministry! Cover them as they go in and out amongst Your people with honor and favor by The Power of Holy Spirit. 
We lift up every auxiliary leader, musician, choir, praise team, usher, nurses and lay member! Grace them to be the Godly examples in their homes, churches and community that will cause everyone who comes into contact with them to fall in love with You, trust wholly in and commit to live the rest of their lives serving You!

As You Sovereignly Rule and Reign over the affairs of mankind, we ask that You work a Wonder in the White House, Congress, Senate and in the life of every government, legislative, corporate leader of our nation and the world! Heavenly Father, we’re asking that You visit them in the night with dreams and visions! Show them that Your Eyes are going to and fro searching the hearts, minds and motives of all who have been given Power and Authority over Your people! Assure them that they shall be held accountable for every deed and decision that they make! In Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

Abba Father, bless all those who are shut-in, hospitalized, incarcerated, going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments, dialysis and those waiting for transplants! Remember the bereaved, those who’re tormented by fear, failure, poverty, unbelief, unforgiveness, doubt, anxiety, stress, mental disorder, hopelessness, shame and guilt, suicide, disappointment, rejection, broken relationships, ungodly soul ties, addictions and perverted sexual orientations! By faith in Your Provision, Power and Authority, we rebuke and renounce every and all manner of afflictions, we declare and decree immediate release be manifested in the lives and bodies! We stand in agreement that everything that does not align with Your Will is bowing, bound and cast down immediately! We call everything in the atmosphere surrounding Your Chosen, into Divine Alignment now, In Jesus Name!
Father as we close our prayer  in confidence and quietness, we rejoice in hope and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling and suddenly departing in fear and shame, turning their backs from Your people,! Because You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy we know that every concern will be addressed and answered according to Your Will, for our highest good and Your Greatest Glory!

Abba Father, we bow in obedient reverence before The Hope of all the earth, believing that as Your face shines upon us, You Who Guides and Rules Justly over The Circle of The Earth, is making Your Ways and Salvation known among all nations! We honor and praise You, believing that In The Exalted Name of Jesus it is done! Amen 3X and It Is So!

Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? Psalm 56:12-13

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11

A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it. Isaiah 35:8

 

The Bible is so real that it’s difficult to understand how so many folk yet consider it irrelevant to today’s contemporary society. Amassed within 66 Books, 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 chapters in the New Testament, GOD has captured every aspect of the human experience from eternity past, eternity present and eternity future!

Unlike many of my readers, I wasn’t born on the left-hand-back-pew of the church! In fact, I wasn’t even raised in a so-called Christian environment. Hence, I’ve lived on both sides of the Cross!  Therefore I’ve experienced both ends of the sin spectrum. I said all that to say, unequivocably, I truely believe in the miraculous, uncomparable , incomprehensible depth and breath of God’s Grace and Mercy to transform the life of the most ungodly into the sanctified!

Sometimes, life comes at us fast and hits you hard! Nevertheless, how we respond to the unexpected, is ultimately a matter of perspective! King Solomon, dubbed as the wisest man in the known world, having been set-up from birth to inherit God’s riches blessings, decided to turn away from following in the footsteps of his Father David. Like so many, who were raised up in the fear and admonition of the Lord,  preferring to fulfill his fleshy lusts,  Solomon eventually found himself plunging headlong into the endless pit of darkness, desperation and dispair!

While Salvation does not guarantee automatic exemption from experiening test, trials or tragedy, as followers of Christ, we have this assurance, absolutely nothing happens that ever takes GOD by surprise!

In fact, GOD knows our endings from the beginning! Not one smile is ever unnoticed nor is one tear ever undocumented. (Ref. Psalm 56:8) Nothing that you’ve been thru; nothing you might be going through now escapes His Watch!   However, God doesn’t promise that every day will be a stroll in the park on a sunny day dancing through flowery beds of ease, nevertheless, Beloved, it behooves us to be content and confident that “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Ref. Hebrews 13:5)

As you voyage through The Scriptures, you’ll discover that God’s servants were tempted, tested and tried by the same tactics and schemes that we are; all of which are strategically launched by our common diabolical enemy, Satan. Nevertheless, they  persevered and prevailed by the AWEMAZING GRACE  of  the self-same Good Shepherd that’s available to you and me.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8

Didjaheardat?

GOD has promised to supply everything we will ever need to overcome and conquer every and any thing that attempts to resist or prevent the absolute fulfillment of every vow that He’s spoken over our lives!

Don’t allow fear to limit your expectations of what GOD has prepared for you! Don’t let your past cause you to doubt or settle for less than He’s promised! Take care that your steps don’t become slack lingering too long in what’s behind. Keep moving forward; remembering what God has for you is always in front of you!

While Life continues to be a journey into unchartered territories, keep walking; fully persuaded that you are never alone. Yes! There will be some valleys to tread, some mountains to climb, some twists and turns to meander and some dead-ends to re-calculate from. Nevertheless, I encourage you to keep your hand in HIS HAND, confidently trusting in The Master of all Life; knowing that what’s ahead of you is always greater than anywhere you’ve been! IN THE END YOU WIN!

BELOVED, JUST KEEP WALKING, LOVING, LEARNING, LEANING AND LIVING! LIFE GOES BETTER WITH CHRIST! HENCE, DON’T OPT FOR THE ROAD OF LEAST RESISTANCE,  CHOOSE THE PATH THAT LEADS TO THE HIGH LIFE!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers,  they will not sweep over you.  Isaiah 43:2a NIV

When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. Isaiah 43:2a THE MESSAGE

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 KJV
Honestly, when you think about it, it really doesn’t require a whole lot of faith to believe that GOD CAN! SERIOUSLY! Just open your eyes, or better yet, shut them and continue to breath!  See, THAT’S GOD! However, believing that GOD WILL takes Biblical faith to an entirely different level that too many rarely attain!  I’m not talking Bible-quoting, but water-walking empowering faith that moves you to get out of the boat, with nothing to stand on but The Word of God! (Ref. Matthew 14:28)

Quite frankly, it’s the after we make the decision that causes us the most conflict!

Remember, before we got a personal revelation of Jesus Christ and committed to ‘live holy as unto The Lord’, rarely did we question or rebuke the enemy’s temptations to sin. Yet now that we’re saved, the enemy targets us relentlessly pressuring us to surrender our faith in The Invisible God and put more confidence in The Liar! And that’s when the real tests come! Hence, it’s when you’re challenged to stop thinking about it and put your feet where you mouth is! That’s the scuuarry part, huh? C’mon nah! AM I RIGHT ABOUT IT?

The Scriptures record numerous accounts where God’s people found themselves in dire straits and having no other recourse, but to cry out to The Lord, their God, trusting wholeheartedly that not only does God hear—but GOD Answers!

King David, reminiscing back to a time when, narrowly escaping with his life, penned these words, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19. David’s testimony still replenishes our hope today that even when it looks like there’s no way out, if you call on The Name of The Lord, GOD will show up and make a way out of no way!

In 2 Timothy 3:12, The Apostle Paul, echoing David’s sentiments, encourages his young protégée, Timothy, “Expect afflictions and persecution”. Yet, in the Eternal Purpose of God, compared to the Glorious future that God has stored up for us, it’s only a momentary light affliction! (Ref. Romans 8:18, Jeremiah 29:11)

Our text today, we hear The Prophet Isaiah speaking to The Israelites, whose hearts were steeped in fear and remorse for their sinful ways that had landed them exiled in a strange land, encourages and comforts them to remember The Merciful Compassionate God who had chosen them as His Inheritance, above all other people was Faithful to a fault!

Granted, when the winds of adversity come barreling over you and the waves of fear, doubt and uncertainity are dragging you down into unchartered depths of woe-filled darkness, dumps of dispondency plugging you into utter hopelessness,  if you’re not careful to keep your heart and mind intentionaly focused on The Word of Your All-Caring, Covenant-Keeping, Storm Master and Creator God, when the blistering life’s storms flare up, you will surely drip away!  Particularly when it’s your own stiff-necked rebelliousness that has caused God’s judgement! #ijs!!! 
Can somebody say, ‘BUT GOD’!

Thanks be to God, we don’t serve an unjust King! Our Loving Savior will never sit idly aloof from His Beloved, leaving us to fend for ourselves! Not on your life!  He promised, I WILL NEVER, EVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU (Heb. 13:5)   When it looks like all reason to hope is exhaused, IT AIN’T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! Even when we can’t trace Him, The Lion of Judah is moving compassionately towards every moan and groan of our being, intervening on our behalf, turning everything around to work in our favor for His GREATEST GLORY! (Ref. Hebrew 4:15)

Precious One, nothing happens that ever takes God by surprise! And since HE’S GOD, He answers before you even ask!  No matter what you may be experiencing, God knew exactly where you’d be, even before He allowed you to enter into this season. Stay patiently-confident!  ONLY GOD says when enough is enough; and who or what can stop HIM?

TRUST2KNO! NOT ONLY IS GOD ABLE…HE WILL! SOOOO WHATCHA WAITING ON? GO ‘HEAD, STEP OUT THE BOAT, U WATER-WALKER U!
