GM FAM! GOTTA MOMENT? HALLELUJAHHH!

Once again we thank you for joining with us in our Weekly Corporate Thursday’s Prayer and Fasting! We’re grateful that our Great High Priest has so graciously invited us to come boldly before His Majestic Throne to release our cares, finding relief, compassion and hope-filled restoration from all of life’s woes! Let’s enter in to His Gates with Thanksgiving and into His Court with praiz and bless His Holy Name…

God has always stood by my side; He has always been my guide! When my friends walk away and turn their back on me, You stood right by my side! Always (Always)! He never left me alone y’all (Always) He has always stood by my side! Whatever I need I just pray, ’cause I know the Lord will make a way! YES, HE STOOD RIGHT BY MY SIDE..LET THE CHURCH SAY YES! YESSSS! YYYEEESSSS…YES! YESSS; YYYEEESSSS LORD….

Eternal God, our Father! Awesome Creator, Ruler and Sustainer of The Heavens and The earth, we come before You now rejoicing in Your Loyal Loving-kindness and tender Mercy! We know that it was by no good of our own that You woke us to one more day, giving us the activities our limbs, a right mind and a heart to seek Your Face for all that we stand in need of this day! We thank You, Precious Father for watching over us as we slept unhindered by the evil forces lurking around us, resting solely upon Your Promise to never leave nor forsake us! We thank You for opening the eyes of our understanding, enabling us to see Your Glory in the Face of Your Son Jesus in whom we yet live, move and have our very being!

We delight in the honor bestowed upon us who profess faith in The ONLY Redeeming Blood of Jesus for forgiveness of all our sin; giving us access to such Amazing Grace and Heritage that’s allotted to us who have accepted this free Gift of Eternal Salvation! Now, unto Thee we lift up our souls, confident that as we continue to open up our hearts, minds, spirits, souls and bodies to Your Divine Will, Purpose and Process You will lead and guide us into all Truth that we might learn to trust You, with our whole hearts, obey You and follow Your instructions, delighting in Your Ways that The Light of Your Glory may be manifested thru us to a dark, lost and dying world!

We thank You Lord Jesus for being Faithful to Your Father, even to death on The Cross, opening up A WAY out of no way to convicted sinners such as I to be saved, cleansed and restored back to our Holy Father!

We thank You, Holy Spirit for breaking-up our stony rebellious sin lusting hearts causing us to be convinced that while we were born in sin, it was never The Father’s Will that any man perish but that all should come to repentance, but by yielding our entire lives over to the Mercy that’s been offered through the life, death, burial and Resurrected Lord of Life, our Messiah Jesus Christ we are saved from the penalty of sin and inherit ETERNAL LIFE.

Confident that no man can come to The Father except thru Jesus, we ask that You prick the hearts of those who’re yet blinded by the deceitful, diabolical devices of our common Adversary, Satan! Let today be the day that The Light of Glory pierces the darkness of their soul, giving way to The Only Hope of Salvation and Everlasting Light which causes them to cry out from a “sincere heart” “What must I do to be saved?” thereby they will confess with their mouths and belief in their hearts that You have heard their prayer and affirmed their “YES LORD!” and responded with Compassion, Grace and Mercy! We thank You for ordering their steps to the place that You’ve ordained in The Body of Christ where they shall be embraced with Love, Acceptance and Joy by their brothers and sisters in Christ to begin their new Life as Saints of the Most High God!

Sweet Holy Spirit, we are grateful that according to The Word, The Father is married to the backslider who has for whatever reason turned away from following, trusting and believing the teachings of Jesus Christ, giving heed to seducing spirits of deception and are now living outside of boundaries of The Covenant that Your Righteousness has established!

Lord, release a spirit of Godly-Repentance that cuts through their rebellious hearts, pulling down the enemy’s strongholds that are designed to keep them in bondage to the wickedness of sin-lusting fleshy deeds of darkness. Remind them that JESUS is The ONLY Acceptable Sacrifice for Atonement and that if they persist in rejecting Your Mercy they shall be judged accordingly and eternally separated from all that You have prepared for those who have been called and chosen to live freely, peaceful, strengthened and filled with Your Joy as a Holy Nation, Your Royal Priest in a Everlasting Kingdom with an Everlasting King!

Sweet Jesus, looking around at the evil ways that unregenerated man has conspired, twisted torn and extolled above all that You have set before us, help us to keep our eyes focused Heavenwards, and our hearts filled with Your Word that we might not become weary in well-doing but trusting filly that You know the way that we take! Cleanse our consciousness with Your Love and Faithfulness. Endow our hearts with anticipation and understanding that You will never allow the devil to put more on us than we’re able to bear, and if our burdens become too heavy for us, You have promised to always make a way for us to escape the snare of our enemies, finding shelter under You Mighty Wings!
Assure us that all of our help comes down from The Father of all Comfort, as we rely wholly upon Your Omnipresence, Omniscience and Omnipotence. When the tempest winds of life overwhelm us with fear, anxiety, stress, doubt, depression, opposition, remind us to quickly run to The Rock that is Higher than us and hide us in that secret cleft where we shall remain shielded safely under The Shadows of Your Almighty Providential Care!

Heavenly Father, while we continue to trust that nothing happens in our lives that can ever take You by surprise and continue to confess You were wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our Peace was upon You and BY YOUR STRIPES WE WERE HEALED, it seems as if we’re experiencing a tremendous increase of sickness and diseases even amongst Your children, unlike we’ve ever known! Abba Father, we ask You to touch our brother, touch our sister whose body has been afflicted by all manner of sickness and disease, including the spirit of cancer, heart, kidney, lung disease, bone, prostrate, pancreas and colon disease, mental and emotional disorders and premature deaths, we ask that as You release Your Healing Mantle, rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake!

Because You are Alpha and Omega, even as You walked in this earth healing all who were sick, feeble, limp, lame, the downcast and outcast,You’re Well Able to do the same right now and are raising them up from their beds of afflction as a testament to Your Name, Power and Glory!

Lord, remember our children, our grand/great-grands! We’re trusting Your Word to save us and our households! We know that while many of them are not walking with You wholly, we trust that You have an appointed time for their deliverance from the tempters destructive plans, plots, schemes and pits!

We know that the SAME MERCY AND PATIENCE that so generously allowed us to be here today is covering our legacy, protecting them from being victimized by the Satanic influences that are rampant in this world! We bind every enticing spirit that seeks to enslave them to ungodly soul ties that so easily beset this unsuspecting generation! We commit them into Your Hand, realizing that You have a plan and purpose for their lives too, with the Blessed Assurance that their steps and stops are being Divinely-orchestrated by Your Eyes! We speak The Peace of God over their spirits, souls, minds and bodies, releasing Your Love, Holiness, Wholeness, Hope, Confidence and Excellence, equipping and inspiring them to fulfill their God ordained destiny!

Lord, we pray for every one going thru a season of sorrow and grief, those being victimized by institutionalized racism, tormented by Spirits of fear, abandonment, loneliness, rejection, disappointment and failure, divorce, frustrated because of wayward children, unrealized expectations, lost of employment, bankruptcy and unjust illegal incarcerations! We plead the Blood of Jesus over every demonic thought, spirits of anxiety, oppression and confusion!You are not the author of these satanic thoughts and feelings, but You have given all who have put our personal trust in Your Son Jesus, Your Righteousness, a Spirit of Love, Peace, Joy and a Sound Mind!

Sweet Holy Spirit, remember every spiritual leader as we speak LIFE, STRENGTH, ENCOURAGEMENT, CONFIDENCE, ASSURANCE, RESTORATION OF HOPE-FILLED- ENTHUSIASTIC-ANTICIPATION and TRUST into all those who are yet believing for immediate manifestation of that special miracle and the fulfillment of every vision that You’ve placed into their hearts! We REBUKE AND COMMAND spirits of low-self esteem, self-doubt, failure, competitiveness, discouragement, disappointment, confusion, slothfulness, tiredness, weariness, being unappreciated and misunderstood, all those threatened by spirits of suicide MUST LEAVE NOW!
LORD, reward YOUR servant/leaders who are yet standing on the Wall proclaiming Your Word with POWER, under the Conviction and Anointing of Holy Spirit! Jesus, Grace them to be the FAITHFUL AND TRUE WITNESSES, remnant examples of Your Righteousness in their homes, churches and community that will cause everyone who comes into contact with them to fall in love with You, trust wholly in and commit to live the rest of their lives serving and glorifying You!

Heavenly Father, as instructed, we stand in the gap on behalf of the leaders of our nation and the world! Those who’ve You allowed to lead in governments, corporate, legislate, judicial, financial, education, public safety and services and institutions! We ask You to touch their minds and hearts, speak to them in the midnight hours, give them dreams and visions that lets them know that You Who Sit Enthroned Above the Heavens see and know the intents and the deeds of everyone’s hearts and while they may think they’ve escaped the punishment of unbiased-bi-parasitism of man’s justice, they shall not be able to flee the righteous retribution levied by The Eternal Judge! Alert them that He Who Rules over the circle of the earth is keeping record of the deeds of every man’s heart and will reward accordingly!

Abba Father, by the power and anointing that You’ve placed upon every one who’s submitted their lives to You, as we stand in the gap today, we curse the SPIRIT of trauma, hatred, racism, evil, rape, incest, molestation, physical and emotional abuse, bullying, murder, suicide, infidelity, betrayal, abandonment, rejection, hopelessness, unworthiness, stress, insomnia, restlessness, confusion, bi-polar, schizophrenia, poverty and lack, double-minded, fear, anxiety and COMMAND IT TO GO RIGHT NOW!

We ask that You bless the brokenhearted, feeble in body and spirit, those desperate, despondent by grief and sorrow, the one at a crossroad of life, the ones addicted to harmful substances, our armed forces, policemen, fire and emergency rescue personnel, nurses, doctors, pastors and leaders, missionaries far and near! WE SPEAK LIFE, LOVE, LIGHT, SALVATION, DELIVERANCE, HEALTH AND HEALING, HOPE, WHOLENESS, RESTORATION, RIGHTEOUSNESS PEACE, UNITY AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST TO ALL WHO ARE READING THIS PRAYER IN THE NAME THAT’S ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME THAT CAN BE NAME, JESUS, WE PRAY!

PRECIOUS LORD, we decree that every demonic-induced spirit is defeated NOW because of Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Purpose is being released into the lives of Your people now as we wait in confidence and quietness, rejoicing in hope, trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling and suddenly departing in shameful defeat, because You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and have received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Holy Father, because You have called and chosen us to dwell eternally in Your House, we shout with exceeding Joy unto The Hope of all the earth, believing that as Your face shines upon us, You are making Your Will, Ways, Salvation and Deliverance known among all nations; for You Guide and Rule justly! We agree with You Who FORGIVES TRANSTRESSORS, HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYERS and we stand believing according to Your perfect timing, it is done! We ask these favors In The Exalted Name of Jesus and seal this prayer shouting HOLY HALLELUJAH AND AMEN 3X !

Now every child of God who is standing in agreement with this prayer, GO TELL SOMEBODY THAT JESUS IS ALIVE, HE STILL SAVES, HEALS, DELIVERS AND HE’S COMING BACK SOON!

Good Morning Family! GOTTA MOMENT? GREAT GOD ALMIGHTY! We’re so glad that you’ve joined with us today in our weekly Day of Corporate Pray and Fasting! LET’S PRAY…

BECAUSE OF WHO U R, WE GIVE U GLORAAA…BCUZ OF WHO U R, WE GIVE U PRAIZ! BECAUSE OF WHO U R, I WILL LIFT MY VOICE AND SAY, LORD, I WORSHIP U, BCUZ OF WHO U R…HERE WE ARE TO WORSHIP, HERE WE ARE TO BOW DOWN, HERE WE ARE TO SAY THAT YOU’RE OUR KING! YOU’RE ALTOGETHER LOVELY, ALTOGETHER WORTHY, ALTOGETER WONDERFUL!

Father in Heaven, here we are before You once again. We come today with outstretched arms, open hands and grateful hearts, for this is the day that You have made. Therefore we’re rejoicing in The Splendor of Your Magnificent Glory! We know that it’s only because of Your Grace and Mercy, that we’re yet here! It’z because of Your love for us, You have allowed us more more day to enjoy the abundance of Your life, health and strength. We’re thankful for another opportunity to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto You. From our Mother’s womb, You’ve proven Yourself to be Faithful and True; therefore, in this midst of the chaos, confusion and uncertainties of the systems of this ungodly world, we’re trusting You to provide everything that we need today to sustain us thru whatever challenges that unfold during the course of this day! Abba Father, we know that You Alone are our God, Guard and Guide!

Father, with eternal gratitude we bless You for allowing us to enter into Your Throne Room, with hope-filled expectation that You will entreat us graciously as we pour out the burdens that seem to overwhelm our hearts, releasing everything that concerns us to You! Lord Jesus, because we know that You are Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent, You see and You already know everything about everyone of us, yet You have welcomed us to come boldly before You, to find Grace and Mercy to comfort, strengthen and encourage us to hold on to every Word that You have spoken over our lives, before we were born.

Daddy, as we stand humbly before Your Sovereignty, before we go any further, we’re asking You to forgive us for everything that we, Your children, have spoken, done and even thought that was not pleasing in Your sight. We thank You now because You have assured us that if we would confess our sins, You, Heavenly Father, being Faithful and Just, will forgive us, and wash us in The Precious Blood of Jesus, cleansing us from all unrighteousness, and restoring the breach that our disobedience has caused between our poor souls and our Lord and Savior, Jesus! Now, we ask Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf, our family, our friends, even our enemies, as we know that Your love is the same for each and everyone of us!

Abba, we know that You have instructed us, to look not at the temporary things, but to the eternal, yet You know the frailness of our flesh, and how easily we’re provoked and tempted to become overwhelmed by the cares of this world, that our hearts are burdened with the pressures of this life, that some of us are wearied with fear, doubt, unbelief, sickness and disease, financial debt, broken relationships, unprovoked threats, depression, addictions and secret insecurities. Lord, You know that sometimes we lose our focus on You causing our days to be spent beneath clouds of evil foreboding, while our nites are plagued with restlessness, despondency and hopelessness! Lord, keep us in Your Will, as only You can!

Lord, save, heal and deliver speedily by Your Mighty Hand, all those who are crying out to You, seeking Your Face at this very moment! Give us to know that because we belong to You, we are never too far that You can’t see us, reach us, and shield us from anything that the devil would assail against us. Help us to understand that Your Name, Jesus is a Strong Tower, and those that You have declared the righteous run into it and are saved. Open up our minds and our hearts, filling us with Your Assurance, and confidence that inspite of the struggle, at The Name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord! Grace your children with hope-filled trust that You, Father, have committed Your Word towards us that no weapon that’s formed us shall ever prosper and except You allow it, no trouble, test or trial can come near us. We thank you Lord, for fully persuading us of Providential Presence and Power to turn everything around to work in our favor and to bring about exuberant testimonies and praizes of Your Eternal Magnificence, Honor and Glory!

Father, we thank You for listening to the hearts of everyone reading and praying with us. We thank You for hearing the hearts of those who have never trusted and accepted Your Son Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord! Because it’s not Your Will that any should perish, we are believing that Holy Spirit is quickening that stony heart now with Godly–repentance  that they shall come to You humbled by Your Lovingkindness, in obedience to Your call and are now receiving your Mercy and Grace to Save. We pray now that You are leading and guiding them to the local church, planting them in Your Vineyard, where they shall be taught and transformed by Your Word of Life to take their rightful position in The Kingdom of Heaven as sons and daughters of The God of The Universe!

We lift up every backslidder who has turned away from wholly following after Your Righteous Commands! We ask that You provoke them to repent quickly and come running back to Your open arms with a fresh conviction to live the rest of their lives by The Grace and Mercy of God, faithful and obedient to convict the loss to surrender their lives to The True and Living God Who forgives sin and is able to guarantee Eternal Life!

Father, we pray for those who are distraught by grief and fear, the elderly, the widows, the downcast who have borne the heat of the day, those who pushed and prayed us through! Father, give them sweet peace in knowing that their labor shall never be in vain! And while family members may forget You never will!

Precious Jesus, we lift up our children, grands and great-grands, thanking You for covering them in Your Blood! We bind the spirit of deception that would entice them to delve into those things that You have forbidden! We rebuke the spirit of bullying, oppression, addictions, ungodly soul ties, suicide, perversions, lust and cancel every wicked plot and evil scheme that Satan attempts to ensnare the holy legacy that You are raising up to overturn the Kingdom of Darkness, in Jesus Name! We release a Spirit of Excellency upon each and everyone of our children that they shall not die but live to declare The Glorious Name of Jesus, demonstrating Your Power thru greater works as You have predestined for them to walk in! In Jesus Name, AMEN 3X!

Sweet Jesus, lifting up every spiritual leader, we ask that You encourage and strengthen all the Apostles, Bishops, Preachers, Evangelist, Teachers, Missionaries, ushers, nurses, parking lot attendants, Trustee and Board Members, auxiliary leaders and members, Musicians, choir members, Liturgical dancers!

Remember especially the True Shepherds who are yet standing on the wall, proclaiming Your Unadulterated Word under the Convicting Power and Anointing of Holy Spirit! We’re believing for the immediate manifestation of that special miraculous desire that You have placed in their hearts! Jesus, we’re trusting You to Grace them to be the examples of Your Righteousness in their homes, churches, market place and community that will cause everyone who comes into contact with them to fall in love with You, trust wholly in and commit to live the rest of their lives serving You! Cover them as they go in and out amongst Your people and those who would seek to discredit, hinder and even destroy their faith, faithfulness and the ministry You have ordained!

Lord, while it may seem futile at times, because You have instructed, we pray for the leaders of governments world-wide. Recognizing their hearts are in Your Hands, we ask You to visit them in the night season, instill a godly-terror and respect in them and command them to do Your Will. Make them aware of The Law of Retribution is in effect, therefore, He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment. He who digs a hole and scoops it out will fall into the pit he has made. The trouble he causes recoils on himself and his violent schemes will come down on his own head.

Abba Father, because so many of our family and friends are being afflicted by all manner of sicknesses and diseases, we pray that You will touch our brother, touch our sister, bind, rebuke and cast out every dis-ease at the root, for Your Name Sake! Heavenly Father, You are Alpha and Omega, the same yesterday, today and forever! Even as You walked in this earth healing all who were sick, feeble, lame we know that You’re Well Able to do the same right now! Lord Jesus, Your Word declares that Your stripes have redeemed and healed us and we’re yet standing on Your promises that nothing is too hard for You and that the Prayer of Faith STILL saves the sick and raises them up, In Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

Lord, we pray for every believer who is yet holding onto Your Hand by faith today, that You are releasing Divine Power, Supernatural Faith, Strength, Health, Provision, Prosperity, Protection, Wisdom and Peace. Father, we’re trusting that You shall preserve them thru every season of tests and trials You have allowed, keep them constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE and fully-confident that at Your appointed time,You will bring them out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word!

Father, we thank You for an outpouring of Your Divine Favor upon each and every one of your children who are seeking employment, promotion, prompt approval for student/car/home loans and assure them that YOU are Jehovah Jareh, Who shall supply all of their need according to Your Riches in Glory!

Father we decree that every demonic-induced spirit of fear, jealousy, envy, condemnation, covetousness and arrogance is defeated NOW because of Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness and Purpose is being released in the lives of Your people now, in Jesus Name!

Lord, there are so many other things, that we have yet to mention, but we’re trusting, believing You to fix it, Jesus, as only You can! Lord, we know that You are not just able, but willing to do anything that we ask, in accordance to Your Word, in Jesus Name! We thank you Father that as we walk through this day, depending on You for abundant Life, Peace, Hope and Your Joy to strengthen us for whatever lies ahead, we shall give You all the Praise!

As we offer us this prayer, Father we wait in confidence and quietness, rejoicing in hope and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling at Your Name, departing suddenly in shameful defeat, cowardly running away from Your people, because You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Father, we thank You NOW, for WE believe that it is done! In The Exalted Name of Jesus. Amen 3X

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

And said to his servant, go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked, and said. There is nothing. And he said, go up again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, behold there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, go up, say unto Ahab. Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. 1 Kings 18:43-45

 

It’s one thing to say that we trust God, but it’s how we endure the proving time that determines the genuineness of our trust! #Didjaheardat?

Life inevitably includes intervals of those pesty impositions I call ‘the dark times’! Like unexpected uninvited guest, trouble has a way of poppin in and staying way longer than we’d prefer! And to make matters even more unsettling, it’s during these seasons that we’re most likely to experience times when all evidence to substantiate that God is still with you and any sign indicating that He’s even listening to your prayers is essentially non-existent!

Knowing personally, it’s not easy watching our children’s lives being ravished by sickness and their youthful dreams and ambitions dissipated by helpless-hopelessness. But this is where the clichés that we so impressively sprout off to others are proven real or Memorex!  Beloved, the longer we walk with Jesus we discover that it’s in the midst of the storms that God reveals His Best Handy Work!  Who would’ve ever imagined that in spite of the dire forecast, The SON yet shines, leading and drawing us closer to Himself! Clearly, He’s determined, through any means necessary, to prove unequivocally that everything that the devil meant for evil, God can turn it around and make it work in our favor! (Ref. Romans 8:28)

Oh My! How my soul rejoiced that day, hearing that my son had given his life to The Lord during a bible study class the evening before! Little did I know that God would use this storm to woo him into seeking Him for himself , thereby positioning him for the miraculous showers of blessings that would follow! And most certainly, I never imagined as I was praying that God would stretch my faith and increase my knowledge of His Wisdom and Power, that I’d have to bury his twin brother to experience a whole new dimension of God’s Super-Sustaining Grace!

The Prophet Elijah teaches his young protégé that even when we can’t see no way to escape the very real threat of emminent destruction, we can yet trust God’s Heart and His Hands. God’s vision is far greater than 20/20. It’s from eternity past to eternity future! God watches guardingly over us thru The Blood stained eyes of Jesus. And through Divinely-inspired confident trust and quiet patience we discover the inexhaustible treaures God’s Faithfulness!

Today, you may find yourself plagued by all manner of maladies. Many of God’s people’s lives are being wounded and worn out by the insidious attacks of the enemies of God and  unfortunately, many are losing hope for life getting any better. But remember, anything is possible with God! TRUST2KNO, while our troubles have a predesignated date of expiration;  our prayers are eternal! #DIDJAHEARDAT??

As people of Hope, instead of surrendering to the pressures of circumstantial evidence, we pray; committing ourselves and our circumstances to our Omnipotent, Omniscient Omnipresent Savior and Lord! By doing this, we’re demonstrating to God that we are relying wholeheartedly upon His Love and the sufficiency of His Grace to sustain and deliver us! As we pray, God intervenes in His designated timing, turning everything the devil meant for evil—around for our greatest good and His Highest Glory! (Ref. 1 Chronicles 7:14)  #4REAL!

Don’t allow the darkness to deceive you. Could God be using the clouds to shield you from your enemies view, aligning you up for an unexpected miracle? (Ref. Exodus 13:21) I know it’s been a long night, but don’t give up!  They tell me, the darkest hour is just before the break of a new day. #Ijs!

And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know Him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17

 

Looking back through the lenses of 21st Century influence, we see that since the birth of The New Testament Church it has been plagued with  external and  interal controversy!  While most Biblical scholars agree that the Church was born on The Day of Pentecost, generally that’s where the consensus begins and ends.

According to The Scriptures, The Risen Savior showed Himself to His disciples, who were still reeling from the horrific events that had just taken place, and instructed them “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptised with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit”. Acts 1:4-5

God knew how much the disciples had come to rely upon Jesus’s Presence during the past 3 ½ years He’d walked with them, teaching, guiding and protecting them but now at Christ’s Ascension, would fall victim to their fears, confusion and discouragement!  Although, Jesus had on numerous occasions assured them that He would not leave them without Divine Assistance, but promised to send them another Comforter in the person of Holy Spirit to empower them to complete their assignment to spread The Message of Christ throughout the whole world–this revelation seems to have escaped them in the ensuing threat of impending persecution!

What is this PROMISE?  The Holy Spirit is known as the third person of The Triune God! While The Holy Spirit functions differently from God The Father and God The Son, He is reverenced as equal in Holiness in The God-Head!

Beloved, as a believer in The Saving Grace of Lord Jesus, God has given us the very samePromise. The moment we make a sincere profession of faith, The Holy Spirit moves into our hearts and fills us with hope, conviction and confidence that we are now a part of God’s Family, a Royal-Priesthood, a Holy Nation! (Ref. 1 Peter 2:9)

However, this is only the beginning! Along with this regeneration (the new birth) comes a challenge and a charge! As a born-again-blood-washed Child of The Kingdom, we are called to be ambassadors of our King to a lost and dying world! Therefore, we also need to be filled and empowered with the enabling Grace and Authority of the indwelling Spirit of Jesus in order to do The Father’s Will and glorify Him in the earth! C’mon nah, don’t shout me down!

Just as the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples in the Upper Room, God wants each of us to experience this same anointing! (Ref. 2:1-4) Unfortunately, NOT EVERYONE accepts this spectacular gift that God promised to as many who would receive Him! Yet, this does not preclude any one from partaking of the fullfilment of The Promise! (Ref. Mark 7:13)

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…” Acts 2:17 

While it’s not my intention to persuade any away from their affirmation, as Martin Luther, “I cannot in good consciousience deny my own personal experience!” Therefore, I can stand firmly fixed in humily with adoration proclaiming, ‘There is absolutely no doubt in my heart nor mind, that any good that I do, any wisdom that I have, any knowledge that I’ve gained, any challenge that I’ve overcome over these past 30 years of walking in Christ, is a direct result of ‘The God in me’!

There is no way for mere man to live the HOLY abundant life as prescribed in The Word without the counsel, guidance, and help  of the indwelling navigation of Holy Spirit! And isn’t that what God expects of all of us? Revolutionary, huh?

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (Colossians 1:27)

WOW!  IF YOU SUPPLY THE SACRIFICE, HE SUPPLIES THE FIRE! IT’S ALL GOD IN US!

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6

 

I wasn’t born and raised in the church like a lot of you. I was one of those who kinda fell up in the doors of the church after years of getting beat up and beat down by the devil’s abuse. But thanks be to GOD! The Gracious Compassion Savior took me in and saved me anyhow! Being naïve and overwhelmed with pure joy and gladness to be saved, I actually thought everybody would love, welcome, accept and celebrate with me, because they were so glad that I was now part of the family of God!

Needless to say, I was shocked to discover that people are still people—in and out of the church. I still remember Mother Annie Carter, (my 1st spiritual mentor) pulling me under her wing, warning me “Stay close to the praying part of the church, baby”.  At the time, I wasn’t quite sure what Mother was talkin about, howevrrrr, it didn’t take long for me to realize that only THE REAL TRUE GOD can make a saint!

Beloved, you see what I didn’t know was that the Church is a construction zone and the Master Builder is GOD! He doesn’t build His House with brick and mortar, but with flesh and blood (dirt and water)!  Through the Precious Blood of Jesus and the regenerating Power of THE WORD, Holy Ghost equips ordinary, imperfect people to do extraordinary exploits!

While, some of us just need a few minor adjustments, others may require little more or even a major overhaul. TRUTHBTOLD, most of us  are so jacked up by the time we got to Jesus that we need a longer stay in the furnaces of afflictions than others before we’re done.  So don’t be surprized when you get a little too close to a brother or sista and get pricked by a thorn!

Always remember, there’s some good in the worst of us and some bad in the best of us, okay?  Nonetheless, we are all under construction according to The Master Carpenter’s specs and all of us  need the same GOD to help all of us!

Even if your intentions are just and honorable, sometimes helping people can hurt you! The Scriptures back this up numerous times!  Yes, even the most sainted, faithful and committed servants of The High God can become entrapped, disenfranchised, hopelessly discouraged and find ourselves retreating to dark caves or the backside of mountains and valleys.  It doesn’t matter how long or how far you’ve walked with The Lord, any of  God’s faithful-elect, can find themselves overwhelmed by the cares of this world to the point that you’re tempted to just give up and leave the church! #shuturmouth!

But, before you do something foolish, can I remind you of this one thing? There is NO PLAN B!

We’re it! God chose us name by name to expand His Kingdom in the earth, fully ware of the challenges of this seemingly impossible task.  That’s why He sent Holy Ghost to equip you to overcome!  Yep,  The Holy Ghost is your personal trainer! He takes your everyday life, places you on pathways strategically designed to stretch and strengthen your christian character, develop your trust, build up your confidence and fortify your commitment!

While it may not always look like God’s anywhere to be found, HE IS ALWAYS RIGHT THERE preparing you for a glorious future!  (Ref. Hebrew 13:5)

 BELOVED, TRUST2KNO, HELL CAN’T STOP ANYTHING THAT HEAVEN STARTS! GOD COMPLETES EVERYTHING HE STARTS!  UNDER CONSTRUCTION? UUUHHH… REALLY…MAKE SURE YOU’RE WEARING UR HARD HAT! #Didjaheardat?

I am straight Holiness/Pentecostal todabone; jus ask anybody who knows me in church! I mean, I’ll shout you down in a heartbeat! But guess what? The devil ain’t stud’n you getting your praise on shoutin’ and dancin’, flip’n over pews, in the church house, as long as you don’t change! That’s right, I’m talking about repentance! Don’t touch dat button!

Notice? You don’t hear a whole lotta preaching about REPENTANCE, lately!  Apparently it carries such a negative connotation that tends to provoke unpalatable feelings of fear, condemnation and frustration that some churches have opted out of traditional biblical teachings, preferring to  institutionalize a more contemporal all-inclusive perspective of church as a gathering apparatus for religious/social networking! SO, I totally getit! 

Howevvvvttttr, those of us who have already accepted the Gift of Salvation offered  through The Atoning Grace of Jesus Christ  need to realize is that while we  have been commissioned  to share  The Love of Christ,  none of us have been given the power nor responsibility to make a person repent, particularly by threatening  them that they’re going to Hell!   #Didjaheardat? “Done lost 1/2 my churrch!”

BUT!!!! IF  you let them know how good The Lord is and what He’s ALREADY done for US to make us right with God, there a good chance that they’ll want to know Him for themselves!

Before the days of name it and claim it, and blab it and grab it, when a true prophet spoke, the only thing he promised was the WORD OF GOD! Really, check your Bible? John the Baptist preached the same message every day, “prepare ye the way, repent and be baptized, for the Lord is at hand”. When The Apostle Peter left the upper room, filled with the Holy Ghost, he came preaching the same message, “repent”. Yall ain’t liking me nah, huh?

Some folk still believe repentance means going to the altar, echoing a confession and shaking the pastor’s/preacher/evangelist’s hand. But my beloved, genuine repentance is a matter of the heart and I don’t mean just feeling sorry. If you really want to experience authentic eternal fellowship with Jesus, you have to sanctify yourself through repenting from your heart.

2 Corinthians 7:10 explains, when a person truly repents, they’ll admit that they’re sincerely sorry for rebelling against God and living a sinful life; make a conscious commitment to change the way they live, turn their back AWAY FROM the devil and evil works, and TURN 2 JESUS, totally committing their lives to pleasing HIM and entrusting Holy Spirit to help them to keep their vow! 

Seriously, change your mind, change your life!

One of the best parts of repentance is taking back the personal power that we’ve allowed Satan to rule over our lives! Godly sorrow will make you stare the devil down and tell him in no uncertain terms,“No thank you, I don’t want to live like this anymore, it’s over! I DON’T BELONG 2 U, I BELONG TO JESUS! MY PAST IS COVERED IN THE BLOOD AND MY NEW LIFE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! NOW , GET OUTTA MY FACE OR I’M GONNA CALL MY DADDY!

Beloved, don’t allow another moment of doubt, unbelief or fear cause you to forfeit the unimaginable blessings that God has prepared for us. (Ref. Jeremiah 29:11) The Bible says, the day you hear His Voice calling–just come! Didjaheardat? Can you hear HIM now?

C’mon SOMEBODY,  quickly! Please tell the devil, “ I CHANGED MY MIND!” GGGLLORRRAAA 2 GOD!

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5

 

Aaawwwww…Fantasy! Believe it or not, that’s where many escape to when the painful realities of life become much more than a person can bear!  Perhaps, this might explain why that 1965 Classic American Sitcom “I Dream of Genie” (staring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman) drew such a faithful following!

Week after week families gathered around their b/w TV’s anxiously gasping for any momentary retreat from the real-time burdens facing our nation. I mean who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to have anything their heart desired suddenly appear simply by swiping a lamp, right?  Yep, those were the good ol’ days, huh?  I suppose that’s what He mean’t by “LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, too? #WOW!

History records President Lyndon B. Johnson struggling to lead the nation through a multiplicity of vexing controversial challenges and at the same time maintain some semblance of the homeland security that many cleaved to so dearly.

Remember, The First Combat Boots landing in Viet Nam and the Dominican Republic, the arrest of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King along with 2,600 others in Selma Alabama for demonstrating against voter-registration rules. Malcom X was shot to death in a Harlem rally, while the newly recognized Afro-Americans were rioting in Watts others were rudely awakened to the undeniable existence of racism in The Land of the Free? Yep! Yep! #thoseweredadays!

Truthfully, as long as we live and breathe on this earth, there will be storms of adversity. In today’s scripture text, the Psalmist offers a brilliant ray of confident hope, strength and encouragement to those who yet contend for the faith found only in an intimate personal relationship with The God of all flesh.

Having been victimized by jealously, hatred and malicious rejection from those closes to him on numerous occasions, David sticks out in history as a true, honest, God-revealing companion to the desperate and down casts. A recap of God’s servant’s life depicts one who repeatedly finds himself besieged by fear, doubt, betrayal, death and isolation from human kindness. Yet in the midst of chaos, terror and tragedy, The Shepherd boy/King, David discovers the Source of true solace under the watchful care of His Sovereign Lord!

 

Beloved, we’re living in a day in time where it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind of hussle and bustle, striving for the world’s standards of successful accomplishments and accommodations! However,  in spite of those poignant pathetic prophetic voices declaring peace and prosperity, sometimes we are left trembling and shaken by the inscrutable ungodliness of the systems of this world! 

Nevertheless, the Prophet Isaiah reaffirms The Eternal Promise of The Covenant-Keeping Creator and Sustainer of All Life  offers comfort to souls weired by the tremors of unexpected intrusive earth-quaking episodes that befall the saints as well as the sinners! Come what may, TRUST2KNO, WE ARE NEVER ALONE! GOD IS ALWAYS AS CLOSE AS A WHISPERED PRAYER from a BELIEVER’S TRUSTING HEART!  #Didjaheardat?

The real evidence of a believers faith is not cuttin’ a step, how high we jump or how fast we’re ruuning around the churrch, but how faithfully we stand in the midst of the storms!

Beloved, as we keep our eyes pointed Heavenward,  The God of All Comfort has declared that we too will be blessed, revitalized and restored by that Peace that passes all understanding, swept over by the unspeakable Joy and resting assured in the Presence of the One Savior and Lord that David delighted in, Jesus Christ! THE PERFECT ANSWER TO EVERY STORM!

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.  John 15:11

 

If the only evidence that the prosecution had to convict us of being Christian was our countenance or our dispositions, our case would be thrown out and we’d get off scott-free! A lot of  church-folk are claiming salvation, naming the Name of Jesus and on their way to heaven anyhow, but most of them don’t seem to be enjoying the trip. If so, they forget to send an IM from their heart to their face!

One would think that if anybody should have joy, it’s the saints of the Most High God., right? But if the Saints are walking around with our heads hung down, broke, busted and disgusted with everything and everybody, then how can we persuade a lost world that life goes better with Christ? Don’t shout me down , now!

Don’t get it twisted, I’m not jus preaching to the choir, I’m talking to myself too. Since I’ve been saved, sanctified and walking with Jesus some thirty-sumptin years now, I learned that while it makes for a good shout, however, not everyday gets sweeter than the day before!  LIFE HAPPENS 2 the saints and the sinners!

Perhaps, some of us have become wearied on this journey  because we’ve mistakenly equated joy with happiness. While happiness is an emotional response based merely on enjoyable circumstances, joy is a constant internal state embedded in the Love of God, producing serenity and tranquility totally independent of external conditions.

Jesus looking from eternity past and seeing the many souls that would be saved, overwhelmed with joy made a conscious commitment to endure the pain, despise the shame, become obedient, even to death on the Cross of Calvary that His joy, might be poured out upon His people. (Ref. Hebrew 12:20) Guess what, that makes YOU the JOY of Jesus!

There’s more to Joy than goose-bumps. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength”.

Jesus Joy is a weapon of mass destruction in the believer’s arsenal. Hence, Jesus Joy is empowerment to overcome any challenge with courage and confidence!

Just knowing that every promise in The Bible is ours to claim with the assurance that Jesus will never ever leave nor forsake us should make every Born-again, Blood-washed child of God’s heart swell up to the overflow with pure Jesus Joy until we can’t help but HOLLA and THROW UP BOTH OF MY HANDS! JUS REMEMBER, JEHOVAH HAS THE FINAL SAY!

Didjaheardat? JESUS OVER YOU! WOW,  NOW DATZ POWERFUL! C’MON NAH, U GOT JESUS, U GOT JOY!

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2

 

One of the most tragic phenomenon befalling humanity is leaving here without ever knowing and becoming the fearfully, wonder-filled, exceptionally-crafted Masterpiece our Creator intended before you were formed in your Mother’s womb. (Ref. Jeremiah 1:5)

Could that be why some say that the richest piece of real estate in any city is the cemetery? Don’t get melancholic on me! In fact my objective is quite the opposite; to spawn enticing hope-filled adventurous tomorrows!

We live in a society where conformity is the paramount attribute of success. If you want to be in you’ve got to fit the mold, otherwise you’re considered not one of us but part of the others.Unfortunately that leaves a whole lot of us out of the clique, huh?

But here’s where I stand on such matters; who gave you the authority to authenticate what God has made in the first place? Only the creator of a thing has the right to determine its true value and potential! Hence, too many of us walk around, ignorant of self-identity, convicted and/or condemned to a lifetime of regret-filled apologizing to others for who I AM!

That is until we come into the personal saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and get a revelation of who and Whose you are. This opens us gargantuan possibilities and prospective that eyes have not seen neither have ears heard of. Why waste time being a copy of anybody or everybody else when God has distinguished you from every other individual born in the earth. Check your fingerprints?

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

Locked up in you is the answer to someone’s question. You are designed to be the miracle that person’s waiting on. You are the gift of hope to some despondent soul. You are the treasure that one somebody’s been seeking for and was about to give up on, disgusted by a history of repetitious seconds and hand-me-downs!

Oh what liberating truth in realizing that despite of what some folk may think or even said about you, in Christ, you have been empowered to stand-sure-footed in His Grace and profoundly proclaim, “I shall not allow anybody to deny me the right to be, become, have and do everything God ordained me 2 BE! I CHOOSE LIFE!”

BELOVED,  TRUE LIFE IS NOT ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF, IT’Z ABOUT DISCOVERING WHO YOU WERE CREATED 2 B! Remember, Absolutely Nobody, BUT GOD can make you who you are!  LIVE UNAPOLOGETICALLY ME! #GO4IT!

Who nu? Dictionary.com would have so many different definitions of the word ‘DEBATE’!

So, I’ve decided to add my compilation synopsis to the list. Here goes:

“To engage in formal/informal discussion, argumentation or disputation with another person or group, to deliberate upon, to consider and/or to contend for or over opposing viewpoints, in which the affirmative and negatives side of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers”

Now, ain’t that a mouth-full? No wonder there’s seems to be no end to the perplexity of issues up for debate, huh?

The ancient Grecians were famous for their fascination with prolific debating practices. There’s still open-ending discussions regarding whether the art of Grecian debate played a significant role in developing today’s American society… or not. Apparently, while many antiquities of social traditions are extinct, the debate goes on and on!

One might ascertain that Humanity’s Inalienable Right to freely express his/her own opinions and to make choices regarding issues they presume relevant, sets us above all other creation, or not!

This concept of “either /or” has existed since the Garden of Eden. God allowed Adam to exercise his freedom of choice giving him access to a garden variety of luscious fruit to select from, with the exception of one particular tree; The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. (Ref. Genesis 2:17) And we all know how that worked out! Huh?

Temptation makes it extremely difficult to resist engaging in some form of debate. Does chocolate taste better than vanilla? Are Marines better equipped than The Navy Seals? Is marriage better than remaining single? Creation vs. Evolution?

Logic leads us to this conclusion. Even though we do have the freedom and power to choose our actions, when it comes to the consequences of our decisions, it’s completely out of our hands. God’s Sovereignty over His Creation is NOT UP FOR DEBATE! Hence, there are some decisions that command intentional consciencous reflection, consultation and evaluation because the aftermath of an erroneous selection is irrevocable!

Unfortunately, this often doesn’t sit well with some. Many a disillusioned soul has taken issue to this kind of ‘authoritative manipulation’ resulting in habitual sinful rebellion. But! God looks down from His Throne and laughs at this foolish obstinacy! (Ref. Psalm 2:4)

The Great Debate continues to infiltrate various sects of society. Hence, Absolutes vs. No Absolutes! Either you are male or female, saved or lost, spiritual or religious, Calvinism vs. Arminianism? Does God exist or not? Is there One God or many? Is Jesus Lord of all or not at all? Apparently, there will always be those who disagree with with our preferences, yet there’s no denying that these tough issues warrant careful deliberation! 

Amazingly,  the Graciousness of a Holy God still allows man the power of choice to either bow now or bow later! #ijs

Beloved, may I submit for your consideration, BEFORE YOU RESPOND, TAKE A MOMENT TO PAUSE AND PONDER! AFTER ALL, THE CONSEQUENCES ARE ETERNAL! IT’S EITHER HEAVEN OR HELL! BELIEVE it or NOT, ultimately, The Word of God is NON-NEGOTIABLE!  #WOW #Didjaheardat?
