I WON'T TURN BACK

 

Selah Daily Devotions!

 

The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back, I gave my back to the smitters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spiting. For the Lord God will help me, therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED. He is near that justifieth me; who will content with me? Behold the Lord will help me, who is he that shall condemn me? Isaiah 50:5-9

 

The Psalmist said, ‘Before I was afflicted, I went astray’. Well, King David, you’re not the only one! Can I get a witness? Before our ears were opened, before our personal encounter with The Divine Kind, before we met Jesus, all of us rebelled against God’s Righteous standards! Amen 3x!

But! Just like The Prophet Isaiah, when we finally heard that ‘un-mistakable’ Voice of Our Lord speaking to our heart, we turned our face to God and our back to Satan! We made the conscious, irrevocable determination to commit ourselves to The Redeemer, begin a new life, walk a new path, and emphatically denounced our former Task Master, declaring—I’m through with you!

However, I must confess! Much to my surprise, not everyone celebrated! In fact, some of the same folk that we used to kick it with backndaday ‘don’t treat me like they used to, since I laid my burden down’! Many of your peeps, who used to ‘have your back’ become back-stabbers or now avoid you like a bubonic plague. Don’t think it strange if some even set traps to get you to fall, just to let you know that you ain’t no better then they are!  #ijs For real!

But guess what? No one who walks away from the world ever comes up short. Nothing that you give up to follow Jesus is ever in vain. So don’t worry about your haters. Remember, you now have a Friend who sticks closer than any brother; and He has promised to never leave you or give up on you. (Ref. Proverbs 18:24; Hebrews 13:5)

Don’t try to defend yourself, just let your life speak for you! Trust me, some of those folk who walked away, they’re still watchin’. And guess who they’ll come to when they hit that pothole? EXACTLY! The ‘new and improved you’!

For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Hebrews 4:2

Precious one, God’s got your back! Just keep walking, unashamedly, looking unto Jesus! Trusting in His Promises, with all of your heart knowing that God’s got a plan for your life and I hearrrd  (in my best preacha voice) that what’s coming is better than what’s been! (Ref. Jeremiah 29:11) #Didjaheardat? #WOW!

So the next time that lying devil tries to make you doubt God’s faithfulness and derail your destiny—tell him—”Obviously, you’ve mistaken me for someone else! I ain’t Lot’s wife! I WON’T TURN BACK!” #BOOMMMM

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Mark 10:21

 

This parable, commonly dubbed “The Parable of the Rich Young Ruler” is recorded in the each of the synoptic gospels. Most of the time when it’s preached, one of the first things that comes to our minds is “Oh shucks, here they go again trying to get my money”! But, hold on…there’s more meat to pick from that bone then our money!

As the scripture unfolds, Jesus is confronted by a young man running up to Him, kneeling down before Him, then asks Him a question. “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” In other words, ‘What can I do to be saved; what do I have to do to make Heaven my eternal home?” Jesus responded, ‘Why you asking me…the only one qualified to answer that question is God!’ And Jesus continues, ‘You know the commandments that Moses told you…you’re a Jew.’ And begins to quote from the 10 Commandments the 7th, 6th, 9th and the 5th Commandments.

Upon hearing this, the young man pompously proclaimes, ‘Oh that’s it, well I’ve been doing that since I was a kid, I’m straight then’. To which the Loving Shepherd responds, “One thing you lack; go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

The Bible teaches that when the rich young ruler heard these words, ‘he was grieved in his heart and went away sorrowful, because he had great possessions.’

Imagine that, ONLY One Thing! Now religious folk tend to think that Jesus was telling the rich ruler that his greed was enough to make him miss heaven. Some self-righteous others might say that his love of money outweighed his compassion for the welfare of his fellow human beings and that would disqualify him for heaven. However, might I offer, for your consideration, perhaps Jesus was trying to teach this young man (and what God is saying to us), is that the young man’s response was merely symptomatic of a greater issue—the failure to recognize the Lordship of Jesus Christ and a lack of trust in God’s ability to take care of him! WOW!

While it is true that those who have great riches, fame, influence are more likely to put their confidence in their money and in themselves than those who are impoverished and have to depend on The Hand of God for their daily bread, Jesus was not teaching, as some assume, that only those who are living in poverty, barely making it from payday to payday, can go to heaven! The Devil is a Liar!

However, could Jesus have been saying that it is virtually impossible for any man to be saved apart from God’s Mercy, Grace and Power? With men, it is impossible …but not with God! (Ref. Mark 10:27)

I believe each us can think of somebody that we know, who didn’t make it, but truthfully, it could’ve, it should’ve, it would’ve been me and you, BUT GOD! “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”1 Corinthians 6:11

None of us know what tomorrow holds for us, but as you advance to the close of our God-ordained destiny for 2018, arm yourselves with this mindset, “But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (Ref. 1 Corinthians 9:27)

Hence, it behooves each of us to ask Holy Spirit to search our hearts, daily, and then give us enuff GRACE to let go of ‘that thang’ that He reveals to us that’s occupying the Throne of our hearts, reserved for God Alone! #ijs!!! #Didjaheardat? 

Remember, it only takes ONE THANG 2 EARN ETERNAL DESTRUCTION! BUT, THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT JUST ONE DROP OF THE SANCTIFYING BLOOD OF JESUS STILL WASHES US WHITE AS SNOW! WHATZ UR THANG? #COVEREDWITHMERCY&GRACE

Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this, I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth. (1 Kings 17:24)
We’ve all heard it, probably said it ourselves! ‘We found Jesus’, as if He was lost, huh? It’s God who initiates the search and orchestrates the circumstances for the encounter. Truthfully, no man can know GOD except GOD reveals GODSELF.

I know we don’t often hear it preached these days; howeverrr, The Holy Scriptures still reveal to man The Wisdom of God! According to Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

God has so wondrously fashioned man so that the ultimate fulfillment of life can only be consummated through his pursuit of intimacy with his Creator! Unfortunately only a few are driven to forsake the lure of this world’s glitz and glamour to tread the least traveled remote pathways. But every once in a while, a isolated sojourner will catch a glimpse of The Hope that placing ones personal trust in Jesus makes available to any man!

But what is the fear of God? It’s the awe-inspiring adoring response to His Divine Character, HOLY (absolute sinlessness) and the reality of His Omnipotent Omniscient Omnipresence!

Only a fool denies the existence of GOD.(Ref. Psalm 14:1) Still too many, by failing to acknowledge Him, refusing to bow to His Majesty in their faithful obedient service, are determined to attain righteousness through their own understanding of good and acceptable behavior. And we all know how that turns out, k?

Today’s text illustrates God’s unmerited compassion to a widow in the midst of a distressing situation who dared to dismiss the visible, grab hold to the invisible (unseen to the natural eye) and take God at His Word!

Her initial response to the Prophet Elijah’s request and her acknowledgement of His God shows a measure of faith. When she did what the Man of God had required, she demonstrated that her faith had rose to another level. However, when she personally experienced the miraculous power of God by the resurrection of her son from the claws of death, her faith took an obvious quantum leap. It’s one thing to hear others testify of God’s Supernatural Power; but when you experience His Glory for yourself, you enter an exclusively different dimension of faith!

As believers in Christ, our earnest heart cry ought to be that everyone come to know who Jesus really is. But the reality is, that it’s incumbent upon each individual to pursue their own intimate personal relationship with the Creator. This relationship is only accessible through knowing The God Who Knows us!

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12

While the gods of this world work relentlessly to distract us away from seeking a personal revelation of Our Loving Father,  we must always remember, that our enemies can do absolutely nothing, except God allows! Hence, as The Good Shepherd safely guides us through the fires, floods and the storms of this life, these experiences allow us to gain a fresh insight into the length, dept and width of His Loving Kindness and the Sufficiency of His Grace to any who demonstrates personal trust in Him through a lifestyle of faithful obedience!

It’s perfectly acceptable to seek wisdom; but understand this, Godly Wisdom is ONLY cultivated through KNOWING GOD KNOWS! #PEACETHRUINTIMACY

The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.  Ecclesiastes 9:11

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Wake Up! God’s got a blessing with your name on it, it’s called ‘TODAY’!

God has endowed every one of us with personal power! It’s called CHOICE, huh? Hence, no thing or no one has the power to determine your response to a brand new day of life! You can choose whether to approach it with joyful celebration and gratitude or you can drag the burdens of disappointment, failure, defeat and guilt of yesterday into today!

Now, I hearya, ‘uuuhhh, obviously you have no idea what I’m going thru, sista!’ You’re absolutely right, but GOD does! He also knows everything that you will face each and every tomorrow! Since He’s in absolute control of all creations, why not trust Him to handle the details of each moment. Rest assured, it’s all working together for your good! ( Romans 8:28)

Now, let me warn you, it’s gonna feel strange, at first but datz okay! Once you experience that peace that surpasses all understanding, you’ll agree that in the long run, it’s well worth whatever it costs! Can you imagine waking up every day filled with the enthusiastic anticipation of embracing another opportunity to experience God’s Glory, Grace and Praise? Instead of pulling the covers over your head,  overwhelmed by a cloud of foreboding fear, worry, dread, discouragement, defeat, murmuring and complaining, WHY NOT wake up with an attitude of gratitude for what God’s already done, is doing now and ernestly hopeful for what He’s about to do? #ijs
.
As a disciple of Christ, from the moment you open your eyes you can direct your day by calling those things that be not as though they were! (Romans 4:17) Today, choose to enjoy this wonderful gift of present and keep moving forward into this new day! After all,  the CEO of Life is living on the inside of you.

The Ol’ Saints used to sing, ‘Everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before!’ And don’t get it twisted, they lived through some very distressing times. Remember The Great Depression? Yet, amidst their adversity, they learned how to trust and depend on The Lord. With every triumph they gained courageous confidence that God was well able to keep them thru and bring them out of anything that would unfold during the course of a day!

When Jesus is your Shepherd, it really doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, God is yet God! Never forget that The God of the mountain top is also the God of the valley! ( 1Kings 20:23-27) So, why not expect to be strengthened, encouraged, delivered and re-joyed! Make today another chance to do better, become more and get closer to Jesus.

WOW! 24 hours OR 1440 minutes OR 86,400 seconds! Spend it well! Remember, Time and Chance Happens To All of US!

Good Morning Family! GOTTA MOMENT? AWESOME!

Once again, we’re excited to invite you to join us today in our Thursdays’ Corporate Fasting and Prayer between the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We know that there’s much to place before The Throne of Mercy and Grace personally and on behalf of our loved one, friends and this world in which we live. As them ol’ skool saints used to say, ‘all those who know the word and worth of prayer’ let’s us pray believing that God hears and answers according to the Power that works within us! Shall we pray?

 

Here we are to worship! Here we are to bow down! Here we are to say that You’re Our God! You’re altogether Worthy, altoether Lovely, altogether Wonderful to me! I’ll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that Cross! IWell never know how much it cost…so here we are to worship and bow down before The True Savior and Lord.of all….

 
Heavenly Father, we come together now thanking you for this day, for this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We bless You Lord Jesus for making a Way for us to approach The Throne of Mercy with a holy boldness and confidence that You sit on The Right Side of The God Who Is, Was, and Shall Eternally Be The One True God, Creator and Sustainer of Everything!

Father, we come today blessing You for the day that You opened our hearts enabling us to recognize and receive the saving Grace in the Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Your Son, Jesus! We acknowledge that because it pleased You, you choose us to be Your very own children, while there was absolutely nothing in us lovable nor worthy of this honor and privilege!

Lord Jesus, we are eternally grateful that You purposed in Your Heart and by Your Own Hand, You are The God of our Salvation, our Deliverance, Breakthrough and Provision. We’re thankful that because You know our frame, Your faithfulness and compassion allow You to look beyond our human frailties, faults and forgive our iniquities to see and minister to every one of our need!

Lord, today we come revently praying for all our sisters and brothers. We ask that The Prince of Peace fill our hearts and our homes with peace, love, hope, joy, patience with contentment as we lean and depend upon Your Faithfulness! We ask believing for immediate debt release, trusting that all their financial needs are met, and they have more than enough to be a blessing to others.

Father, we’re asking You to touch our brother, touch our sister whose body has been afflicted by sickness and disease, especially the spirit of cancer, high/low blood pressure, heart disease, kidney, lung failure, satanically induced depression/oppression/addictions and rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake. Lord, your Word declares that your stripes have redeemed and healed us and we’re yet standing on your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name!

Lord, we pray for every believer who is yet holding on to Your Hand by faith today, that You will release Divine power, Supernatural strength and health, provision, prosperity and protection. 

Heavenly Father, we’re asking that You preserve them thru the tests that they must go thru and keep them constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE and fully-confident that You will bring them out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word. 

Abba Father, we lift up our political, social, judicial, business, religious leaders, asking a special blessing upon each one! We pray that you will Grace them to be the examples in their homes, marketplace and churches that will cause those who are in their sphere of influce to love, trust and to live their lives serving You, Our Heavenly Father.

Father we pray that every demonic-induced spirit of fear, failure, hopelessness and disappointment be defeated by Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness be released now, in Jesus Name! We’re trusting that each morning of this new year Your children will awaken with assured grace to accomplish every assignment and earnest hope-filled tomorrows!

Lord, we pray as you have commanded in Your Holy Word, for all our enemies, and those who have used and abused me, and have lifted up their hands and their tongue against me. I now forgive them for all they have done. In Jesus Name, for I am a Child of God.

Father, we pray for every eye that reads and says this Prayer come to know that there is no problem, no circumstance, no situation that is greater than God, for God is greater than all, God is greater in all, God is greater through all, and God is greater upon all. For You God, are the Most High God Almighty of all the Universes is truly the Greatest of All.

Father, we are so grateful that as we continue to walk closely with You, we understand that every battle that we have and will ever encounter in our lives is always in the absolute control of Your Loving hands, for You, O Lord have Sovereignly Ordained everything to work together for my highest good and Your Greater Glory!

We pray for every one who has for whatever reason walked away from you shall be provoked by the anointing that is on our prayer, to come back to you today and that you will put a new ‘YES LORD’ in their hearts and a willful obedience in their spirit to live the rest of their lives faithful and committed to Your WILL (WORD) and WAYS!

Father God we ask that anyone reading this prayer, wondering why they even find themselves reading it, will bow their hearts toward You now, confessing their need for you in their lives, acknowleging your Amazing Love towards them, in appreciation will invite The Lord Jesus Christ to come into my life and change my heart now! Thank You Father that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, my Lord, my Savior, and my King, and confess this day and every day that I am highly FAVORED by God and man.!

Sweet Jesus, we pray that these words be believed, received and accepted into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every tongue that confesses them in name of Jesus Christ!

Lord Jesus, we know that there’s much more we could’ve, should’ve said but we know that because You are able to discern the intents of our hearts, we pray believing,  expecting, receiving and accepting God’s miracles in our lives this day and every day, for God’s Divine favor is now our heritage, in Jesus Name. Amen 3x! It is done! Alleluia!

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1-2

 
Is it just me, or have you noticed the newest 21st Century jargon? The sheer variety of objectivity seem to suggests that there has been an awakening in the consciousness of The Millenniums that has shifted away from ‘It’s all about me’ to ‘a genuine concern for the well-being of other than self’!  Or NOT! Okay yall, I’m might as well let the cat outta the bag. I’m referring to the popular trending idiom ‘MATTERS’.

Apparently, everything and the kitchen sink, has taken on a persona of distinctive significance. And there’s a T-shirt somewhere out there to prove it! Hey, I’m not judging, simply highlighting the obvious, k? If you ask anybody what are some of the things that they’re mosted interested in, it’s guaranteed that their responses would be endless. However, may I suggest that given the innate nature of humans to be drawn to individual preferences, in order to secure its fundamental security and uniformity, certain things are essential to the future of any society!

Obviously, there will be those who’d swear that being ‘pet parents’ is no different from parenting ‘live children’ or wearing pants 25 inches below your waist-line to a job interview is as acceptable as nudity in a court room. As long as you’re comfortable with yourself, huh? Now that The Supreme Court has determined that regardless of sexual orientation, Love Matters! The capitalist affirm that it’s the bottom line that counts, not human rights! Hence Money Matters! Since, The NRA ascribes to ‘the right to bear arms’, above the ‘right to live in a safe neighborhoods’ thus—everybody’s packin! Billions of funds are being funneled to Animal Rights activists discretly away from those insidious issues of education, homelessness and hunger! Seriously!

Of course, we are not implying that as Christians we’re not supposed to have interests outside of the church. But! Does anyone care about what Matters to God? Well? Looking at the more contemporary-all-embracing, newly-enlightened, come-as-u-r-stay-as-u-r doctrines of the 21st Century church, apparently, ain’t nobody got time for dat?  It’s common place, now that church-folk tend to gravitate (assembling together) to like-minded sophisticated folk who prefer creature comforts above christian character! And if the ol’ skool preacha insists on sticking to those irrevelant antiquated suggestions of The Holy Bible and preachilng against SIN, well we can just Google the net and fine another church that’s more condusive to our religious persuasions!

Far be it for me to infer that Father GOD knows what’s best for His Children! However, isn’t that the reason that He drew us out of the world? God wants us to be happy and holy! That’s why He sent The Holy Spirit to live in us, leading and guiding us through the maze of a hellish world, instilling godly morals to assure that we get safely home to Heaven’s Glory! “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Heb. 12:14

It’s perfectly understandable that an unregenerated person has no hope beyond this life, hence their universe is focused on accumulating a wealth of materialistic trinkets! However, where did so many carnal-minded christians come from?

I still remember when those who have a personal trust in Christ, peering through  the clarity of the Scriptures, wore our earthly life as a loose-fitting overcoat, easily discarded and replaced by the robes of righteousness, laced with Love, Loyalty, Grace and Mercy as garments of praiz! WOW! #GOALS #KINGDOM MATTERS!

LIVING YESTERDAY

THIS IS THE DAY WHICH THE LORD HATH MADE, REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT! PSALM 118:24

 

“The Good ol’ Days!” WOW! Remember? But what is it about memories? Either time has a peculiar way of tainting our perspective or our minds automatically default to selective-perceptions when the moment ends.

Somehow, as we reflect upon days gone by, we seem to remember that gut-wrenching pain (that you were utterly convinced was terminal) and the high that would get higher and the groove gets groovyur; the music never stopped; the laughter would become heartier and the flood of tears would never subside; the mornings came too soon and the nights were eternal; puppy love would grow into a couple, a family and divorce and you’d just…and recess lasts for a lifetime…and then! IT’S TODAY and you’re still alive! #wannacheckurpulse?

The infamous THEY said that the richest piece of real estate in any town, city, state or nation is the grave yard!  #DIDJAGETIT?  Can you imagine all of those hopes, dreams, secrets, recipes, thoughts, conversations, hugs, apologies and plans that remain unfulfilled beneath the soil! WOW! 

Release the coulda’s, woulda’s, shoulda’s! Smile triumphantly over conquests and the sweetness of successes! Sigh sheepishly over the guilts and regrets—then thank GOD for all the second chances!

My Precious Ones, whatever happened, good, bad, ugly and indifferent; you survived it all!

“You can’t alter your past, but you can always take your past to the Altar!” (unknown)

Thank GOD for the Sufficiency of yesterday’s Grace and Hope-Filled tomorrows!

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANK GOD FOR THIS BRAND-NEW BLESSING CALLED DAY! DON’T WASTE A SECOND OF IT! LIVE TODAY AS IF IT WERE YOUR LAST!

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20

For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. Hebrews 4:2

 

WOW! Just thinking about backndaday, when the Saints gathered on Sunday afternoon for Holy Convocation! Talkin’ about The Grand Ole Church of God In Christ. I’m here to tell ya, did we ever have some sho nuff churrch huh?  I remember how I felt when the Elder would approach the pulpit and begin bellowing out our International COGIC Anthem, “YES LORD!”  Still not sure whether it was meant to call the church to order, calm the shoutin saints down, to take up the offering or what. But what I do know is that just hearing those words that were first uttered from the mouth of our Founder, Charles H. Mason, always took our worship into another dimension of God’s Presence!

Unfortunately, you don’t hear that song sang much anymore. At least not in the same manner, huh? Don’t shout me down now! #ijs

The Holy Spirit just said, ‘that’s because My people aren’t saying ‘YES’ to Me that much anymore!’ OMG! Honestly, that really doesn’t suprise me! There’s so much noisey chatter going around the Christian Community these day, folk aren’t sure what’s of God and what’s not! One side of the church is saying, “It’s a new day and we’re no longer under The Law, we’re under Grace”! The other side is saying, “If you don’t have a new house, drive a certain car, live in a certain zip code, the favor of God is not on your life because you don’t have enuff faith!” And hardly anybody is preaching what God expects of those who claim His Son as Lord and Savior! (Ref. Micah 6:8)
We’re living in a day-n-time when every man wants to do what seems right in their own eyes. If we don’t like what that preacher’s preaching, we can keep driving until we find one that affirms and validates what we want to do, right? To make the transition easier, we can even search the internet until we find one that suits our lifestyle and e-church!

Problem is, while times have changed, The Word of God HASN’T! IT IS ETERNAL!! While the world is busy legislating and flaunting their rebellious unrighteousness, it’s  virtually impossible for mere man to dismiss the boundaries and rules for living that God has established! Jesus is Lord! Saints, there’s another side of God’s Holiness that the world (and some of the church) has completely rejected! ‘The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath” (Nahum 1:2)

Hence,  it may seem as if God has turned His face away from this world and is allowing everything to fall apart, however God wants us to know that everything is falling right in place! Remember, Goshen? “They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” Exodus 10:23

What does God want us to do? It’s simple, walk with HIM! Trust HIM, agree with HIM! Regardless of how the circumstantial evidence appears to contradict The Promises, have faith in The Immutable Word of God! (Ref. Proverbs 3:5-6)

Set your face toward Jesus and just keep saying ‘YES LORD’! #didjaheardat?

Once again, we encourage you to join with us today in our Weekly Day of Corporate Prayer and Fasting between 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. Those of you who YET believe that Jesus is our Great High Priest, seated at the right hand of The Father, interceding on our behalf, let’s go in together, k?

 

BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME! BY THE GRACE OF OUR GOD, AS WE EMBRACE THE BREAKING FORTH OF A NEW DAY WITH JOY-FILLED HOPE, LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH GIVE HIM PRAISE! OOOHHH SWEET WONDER! OH SWEET WONDER,! JESUS, THE SON OF GOD! OOOHHH SWEET WONDER! OH SWEET WONDER, JESUS! THE SON OF GOD!
Our Father and our God, Who Reigns Forever, above the heavens and over all of Creation, we come boldly yet exceedingly grateful for this honor and privilege to offer up our prayers of petition, supplication with thanksgiving to The Only True Lord in The Precious Name of Jesus!

We’re immediately struck by Your Awesomeness and Your Wondrous Benevolence that you continuously show towards us all day, every day! Your Mercy and Lovingkindness testifies of Your tenderness to both those who confess You as Savior and Lord, and also to those who have yet to acknowledge Your Faithfulness and Righteousness to all of humankind! You alone are Worthy of The Highest Praise! Hallelujuah!

We take comfort and courage in Your Eternal Truth, THAT POWER BELONGS TO GOD! Therefore, as we place our personal trust in you, we’re confident that despite of the chaos that exists in this fallen world, our feet shall not BE MOVED! For our hope is in Your Omnipresence, Omniscience, Omnipotence and the Immutable Word that has been spoken before the foundation of the World!

We bless the day that You pierced our stony hearts, opened our blind eyes allowing us to see Your Glory in the Face of our Redeemer, Your First-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ! We praise You Heavenly Father for loving us beyond our desperately wicked sin-sick souls, so much so that You sent Jesus to sacrifice Himself to atone for the sins that we did that we might become your sons and daughters!

We humbly bow in obedience as our only reasonable response to such Great a Salvation, asking that You deliver us from temptation and keep us in the safety of Your Holy Will. For we recognize that our justification, our sanctification is rooted in Your Love and Your Power at work to, in and thru these vessels of clay!

Abba Father, we rejoice with unspeakable joy that our faith is built on nothing less than the Victorious Sacrificial Blood of Jesus that was poured out on The Cross at Calvary! And according to Your Word, The Blood Yet Prevails!

We pray that today it will reach down into the valley of desolation, despair, grief, hopelessness, sickness and disease, and lift up that unbeliever who is outside of The Arc of Your Covenant bound by their sin, destined for eternal destruction and draw them into a personal relationship with The God of All Salvation and Comfort. We ask that the eyes of their understanding be enlighted and that their hearts be filled with an everlasting YES LORD that the Word of God will have full access to every facet of their being, that they be forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteous! We’re believing that Holy Spirit will guide them to the local church where they may be taught and trained in the ways of Holiness that they may be empowered to walkout each day in the way that is pleasing in Your sight!

Abba Father, we pray that the called out, chosen of God who are struggling to endure the challenges, tests and trials of co-existing in this fallen sin-lusing era, be strengthened, encouraged and renewed day by day by The Resurrection Power of Holy Ghost, that we might be A Light of Hope and a living witness to Your Faithful commitment to those who call upon THE ONLY Name given to save any man,The Excellent Name of Jesus!

Heavenly Father, we ask that You keep us close, hidden under Your Wings, for You are our Refuge where we rest in peace, admidst the turbulent times that we’re forced to contend with because of the rebellious nature of those who cleave to the dictates of unregenerated minds and degenerative desires of sin-lusting flesh, bent on perverting the truth of God and following the terminal dictates of Satan, the Liar and Deceiver.

We pray for the leaders in government, corporate, financial, health, and education institutions, communities and churches that they will be truly convicted and converted to rule justly, walk upright, and stand firmly on The Holy Bible, and not be bribed by fame, wealth, influence and power of this world, but be filled with the Love of Christ, to exemplify Righteousness in all of their affairs!

Lord, we’re grateful that when we run out of words,You Listen to the groanings of our hearts and grant unto us those things that You in wisdom, know what’s best for our highest good and Your Greatest Glory!

We are trusting and believing that it is so, in Jesus Name! Amen 3x!

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doeth he meditate day and night! Psalm 1:1-2 KJV

How well God must like you – you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College.2 Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. THE MESSAGE

 

When the Holy Ghost pricked my heart with this text, immediately my mind went to the scripture about the sisters, Mary and Martha. Martha was complaining to Jesus ‘Lord, it ain’t right that Mary should be sitting in here with all yall, while I’m in the kitchen working trying to get this food ready’. However, I don’t think she expected Jesus to respond like He did, huh? Jesus didn’t rebuke Mary, but he told Martha that Mary had chosen, ‘the best part’. (Ref. Luke 10:42) Unfortunately, Martha’s got a whole lot of sisters and brothers out here, even those who are in the Kingdom of God!

I gotta confess, I was totally shocked when I realized that not everyone who’s name is written in The Lambs’ Book of Life, finds the WORD OF GOD delightful. I’m not trying to be sanctimonious or self-righteous, I’m just giving my experience, k?

The truth of the matter is, Satan wants to keep all of us, saved and unsaved alike, from the WORD OF GOD—By Any Means Necessary! He works deligently to distract us from spending time, reading, studying, and particularly, meditation and prayilng the Word.

Case in point, how many times have you made a decision (especially at the beginning of a New Year), that ‘This year, I’m gonna get in my Bible and see what God has promised me! I want to know what God wants to say to me. I want to know WHO GOD IS AND WHO I AM in him’. And what happens? Suddenly—out of nowhere, here comes something or someone that needs your immediate attention. Seriously, fires just seem to pop up everywhere you look, right?

Beloved, don’t take the bait! Somebody said, the best defense is a good offense! Hence, it’s important for us to hide God’s Word in our hearts, so that when challenges, tests, trials and tragedies interrupt our lives, instead of caving in to the pressure of temporary circumstances, out of our hearts will flow the Eternal Well-spring of Life, a confident assuring hope that our ‘God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.’ (1 Cor. 10:13) When we make time to fill our spirit, with the Immutable Word of God, we might bend, but we won’t brake!

We must remember that while the issues of life are often a surprise to us—nothing that has, is going on now, or will ever happen in our life, will ever make God say “OOPS! WHERE DAT COME FROM – HOW DID THAT GET PASS ME”! #didjaheardat? Com’on now!

As believers, we must be fully persuaded that The God we serve is SOVEREIGN! HE IS ULTIMATELY ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING. And when you know that you know this, YOU KNOW that SATAN AIN’T RUNNING NOTHING! In fact, before he can get to you—HE’S GOTTA GO THRU JESUS!

The scripture says, that ‘Greater is He who is in us, than who is in the world’. (1 john 4:4) and even when our own heart condemn us, “He’s greater than our hearts”. (1 John 3:20) WOW! Beloved, if you are truly Born-Again, Blood-Washed Believer, your spirit man is always on, we just need to stay tuned, and open to hear what the Spirit is speaking to our spirit. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3

Truthfully, many of God’s people are so busy, (just like Martha) caught up in the grid of daily life, trying to get their children to sports activities, a promotion, a new degree, upgrade their house, car, purse or spouse that there’s rarely time left to fellowship with Jesus around His Word!

Precious one, when we take time, pausing to delight ourselves in His Presence, meditating in His Word, GOD Will direct your steps, instruct your hearts and lead us in the right pathways! God delights in our deligent seeking and rewards us with Grace to walk secure in His Peace, regardless of what’s going on around, and even on the inside of us.

I know it ain’t my business, but I’m jus say’n, WHAT DELIGHTS U?
