Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Israel, for for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek…to profane my holy name. Amos 2:6-7

 

Imagine that? Living your life as if there’s no consequences or no accountability! Well, guess what? There’s a whole lot of grown folk still playing Hide and Seek! I suppose, they’ve convinced themselves that if I can’t see Him, He can’t see me! Evidently, they forgot to check The Book! ‘Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.’ Ps. 139:12 Didjaheardat? WOW! Day and Night are the same to Him!

Amazingly, despite the highly-skilled hackers and all those international satellite peepers who have managed to evade the secrecy of the most sophisticated technologically advanced security systems of this New Millennium Age, the devil still manages to bamboozle some folk into arrogantly thinking that they have somehow successfully covered up their mess., huh? Seriously! Even more mind-blowing is the foolishness of the folk who consistently reject the reality of The True and Living God Who has 20/20 vision! #ijs

Yep! THERE IS A GOD who sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; keeping its inhabitants under constant surveillance!! (Ref. Isaiah 40:22) And while this TRUTH brings tremendous comfort to the hearts and minds of true believers, at the same time it strikes fear in the hearts of the heathen. U think somebody would tell them that there’s no where to run and no where to hide from His Presence! God always knows exactly where you are at any time? I get it, chances are they wouldn’t believe it, huh?

Well, The Book is filled with examples of what happens when The Sovereign God of The Universe decides, enuff is enuff! Take a look at today’s scripture, Amos 2:6-7! God gave His humble servant, Amos, a vision of Israel’s future which, to the keen of eye, should potentially impact the lives of today’s contemporary readers. God charged this lowly  herdsman with the assignment to announce to God’s people that He was going to avenge their enemies. I would imagine this news was received with great relief and joy. However, their celebration was suddenly replaced with shame, fear and remorse. We must never fail to acknowledge The Holiness of The Righteous God demands Justice as well as Mercy!

Those who tend to forget that Power belongs to God will inevitably miss-use their designated authority  to satisfy their greed, fostering a sense of self-sufficiency that leads to a life-time of pursuing their own personal undersanding of spiritual integrity, morality and luxurious comfort at the expense and neglect of the poor and the needy! Apparently, this doesn’t set to well with our Heavenly Father! God does not take the abuse of His FAITHFUL people lightly!

Granted, at times it may seem as if God has forgotten us! BUT! Beloved, IT AIN’T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! History proves that God will never be without a witness OF HIS FAITHFULNESS in the earth! 

“Remove the turban, and take off the crown; Nothing shall reman the same. Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted. Overthrown, overthrone! It shall be no longer, Until He comes whose right it is, And I will give it to Him.”  Ezekiel 21:25b-27

Beloved, Trust2kno, there is yet a Remnant of God, who refuse to be distracted by circumstantial evidence! Look around you, we’re everywhere! We’re those whose lights are yet shining in the midst of  the gross darkness of this world,  holding fast to The Name of Jesus! We’re the ones who might bend, but don’t break because we’re rooted and grounded, standing firmly in faith, wholly believing in the Only Inspired-Infallible-Eternal Word of God!

We’re the ones who, even in the midst of these challenging times,  don’t quit  because we live, move,  empowered and fully persuaded by the Indwelling Presence of Holy Spirit that IT AIN’T OVER UNTIL WE WIN! REST ASSURED, GOD WILL VINDICATE HIS OWN! DELAYED BUT NEVER DENIED! #GETIT

When crowds of people came out for baptism because it was the popular thing to do, John exploded, “Brood of snakes! What do you think you’re doing slithering down here to the river? Do you think a little water on your snakeskins is going to deflect God’s judgment? It’s your life that must change, not your skin. And don’t think you can pull rank by claiming Abraham as ‘father.’ Being a child of Abraham is neither here nor there—children of Abraham are a dime a dozen. God can make children from stones if he wants. What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire. Luke 3:7-9

 

Ever asked someone, “Are you saved?” to which they responded, ‘matter-of-factly’,“uuuhhh…Mama told me I been baptized!” or “I belong to First Bed-Rock of The Divine Pentecostal Kingdom Fellowship” Don’t shout me down, now yall….jus wondering?

Seems to be a lot of that going around, huh? We’re living in a world where pretty much everybody’s ‘saved’! I mean, just look at the explosion of ‘Mega Ministries’, that have popped up in this country alone, right? Kinda makes you wonder why Jesus hasn’t returned! Well, may I submit for your consideration, while church attendance is a critical component of our spiritual development,church membership doesn’t make you a Christian any more than living in a garage makes you a car!

I understand how one might be confused, given the ‘mob mentality’ of the more contemporary theological persuasions of The New Millennium Era, that more means better. This is nothing new! According to our scripture text, it’s been going on since the days of John The Baptist! One might wonder, given the number of churches and folk who pour into the buildings any Sunday morning, why we don’t see much change as individuals, in our families, communities, even as a nation?

Simply put, too many folk try to cut across the field, by-pass the cross and creep into the Kingdom through an imaginary backdoor!

That’s why some imposters casually enter the church house,‘carrying their chains, tuck them quietly under the plush pews, sanng, shout, dance up and down the aisle, sit like a bump on a log while the sermon is presented, Hi-5 your neighbor 10x, turn around 7x, repeat the benediction, greet your neighbor, pick up your chains and get back out there and do what u gotta do’! #OHYESSHEDIDSAYDAT!!!

Beloved! Jesus came not to set up another system of legalistic religious rituals, but to restore the personal intimate relationship, severed by our First Parents, Adam and Eve’s rebellion against the righteous commands of The True and Living God! And when He ascended back to The Throne Room on High, Father God sent The Holy Spirit to live inside of anyone who makes a conscious decision to humble themselves, repent and put their personal faith in The Only Saving Grace of Jesus Christ! The indwelling Presence of The Spirit of Jesus, empowers us to live a holy, separated, consecrated life of triumphant deliverance in the midst of this dark and depraved world! Didjaheardat?

“…for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose,” Philippians 2:13

Sadly, despite the finished work of the Cross, Satan has yet been able to keep too many of God’s precious ones, illegally chained to stuff that Jesus has already secured their glorious freedom from!  

But that’s why we’re here, right? To shine out for God by spreading the Good News,“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

SELAH Daily Devotions!

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (Matthew 7:7)

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (Acts 3:6)

While there are undoubtedly many attributes that can rightly be ascribed to our Lord and Savior, may I submit to you that there’s one that is often neglected—Jesus The Master Economist! Jesus specializes in managing the world to ensure that nothing’s wasted, missing or lacking. Every Word that He speaks never returns to Him void but completes the very intent to which it is sent! (Ref. Isaiah 55:11)

Jesus is intentional! Jesus was commissioned to come into this earth by His Heavenly Father for a specific purpose; the expansion of The Kingdom of God in the earth. Strangely, though He chose to accomplish this seemingly impossible task by releasing the Seed of Potential into the hearts of His elect, thereby expanding the faith of humanity! “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives.” John 12:24 NLT

The Master Carpenter has a habit of setting you up in custom-designed circumstances to stretch your faith. I believe that anyone of Jesus’ disciples would readily testify how Jesus was constantly pulling them outside of their comfort zone. Remember that day when Jesus was preaching out in the desert to about 20 thousand folk, and suddenly turned to them nonchalantly saying, ‘Ok, it’s getting late so let’s feed the people”. (Ref. Luke 9:16) Can you imagine them looking at one another shocked, confused and wondering which one of them had pre-ordered a banquet lunch before they left town?

And what about that widow of Zarepheth, finding herself hopelessly trapped in a desperate situation, resolved to fix this last meal for herself and her son—and diewhen suddenly interrupted by Elijah The Prophet, who insisted that she make him a pancake first! Yet, the scriptures tell us that her faithful obedience released an unexpected miracle that not only sustained her and her household but outlasted the famine! (Ref. 1 Kings 17:7-16)

Guess what, He’s still doing it today!

I know, we’ve all heard preachers preach (and it’s biblically correct) that God doesn’t put more on you than you can bear; however, we can’t deny thatsometimesssss, Jesus will ask us to do things that are way beyond our personal realm of possibility, comprehension and ability! Amen??? What we must come to realize is that we’re beckoned to these challenging predicaments, not to diminish us but to grow us! While uncomfortable to our flesh, they are God-ordained opportunities to experience the Supernatural Encompassing Sufficiency of God’s Presence, Power and Providential Care!

Beloved, Jesus invites you into these holy moments to prove that His Strength is made perfect in our weaknesses! (Ref. 2 Corinthians 12:9)

It behooves us to stop focusing on what you don’t have (deficiency) and set your attention towards WHO you do have, huh? If you will give God your trust, even if it’s no greater than a mustard seed, He will always exceed your expectations!#ijs

Sooooo, what’s going on in your life now, that’s too hard for you and Jesus to handle?

REMEMBER, ANY PROBLEM + JESUS = VICTORY! DEMAND & SUPPLY!

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. ” Isaiah 43:2

” lo am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b

 

Certain things just kinda stick out at you! Like, where you were and what you were doing on Tuesday, September 11, 2001?

If you were anywhere in the United States, you were probably sitting somewhere stunned and paralyzed, eyes glued to a TV screen at images that are now indelibly entrenched in your psyche! Some of us initially were just trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Were our eyes betraying our thoughts or was this simply another advertising stunt vying for publicity?

But, as we listened intensively to the broadcaster’s pronouncement, our inquisitively quickly gave way to awe, fear and helplessness! Millions of us sat immobilized by not knowing where or when the next strike would hit. We watched masses of people running terrified away from buildings, aimlessly through the streets in an effort to escape the billowing clouds of gas-filled smoke and the menacing threat of flying glass and debris. The sense of security and the superfluous naivety of an Invincible America tragically came falling down right before our eyes, shattered live and in color!

Just as the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust, tragedy and trouble are neither biased nor prejudice! Except you be some sadistic masochist, most of us are intrinsically wired to avoid pain. Perhaps, that’s why some of us might’ve secretly questioned the wisdom of those ‘first responders’. Nevertheless, we honor the courageous men and women who waived the threat of death in lieu of the prospect of rescuing the survivors and ran boldly into the face of catastrophe!

Perchance, that’s what makes GOD so appealing to that desperately lonely wayfaring stranger, crying out to The Heavenly Father, “Lord, save me!”

Today’s scripture assures us that our Savior, Jesus, doesn’t sit uncaringly aloof, watching us meandering our way through life’s tumultuous terrain, endlessly giving way to hopelessness and despair. But so Gracious is our God, who Lovingly leans toward us, tenderly guarding and guiding us safely through overwhelming floodwaters of seemingly unconquerable test and trials!

May this note serve as a constant reminder, that whenever we find ourselves surrounded, constrained by dire circumstances, in the claws of the temptation to give up and tap out on life, may those of us who have made a personal decision to surrender our lives to The Lordship of Christ, find consolation, encouragement and confidence by faith, to look up–for our Redemption is Always near!

GOOD MORNING FAMILY! GOTTA MOMENT? WOW! We’re so excited that you have joined us today in our Day of Corporate Prayer and Fasting! As we entreat The Throne of our Great High Priest, we bow in reverence of The King of Glory singing…

We love You Lord, and we lift our voice, to worship You. Oh my soul, rejoice! Take joy my King, in what You hear, and let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your Ear! We adore Thee! We adore Thee, We adore Thee, O Lord! Bow down and worship Him! Worship Him! O Worship Him! Consuming Fire, Sweet Perfume, Your Awesome Presence fills this room! This is Holy ground… Let’s pray…
Almighty Lord God, as we bow our heads and our hearts to thank you for this day we honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for the privilege to enter into Your Throne Room confident that You welcome us and rejoice in the confident hope that You are listening to our prayers!
Heavenly Father, we thank you for our being able to see, and to hear, and to speak, and to feel, and to taste of Your goodness this day and every day.

We acknowledge that we’re blessed because You, being Holy and Righteous, continue to be such a loving forgiving Father, and such an understanding and caring God. You have done so much for us and yet you keep right on blessing us, despite of us! Lord forgive us this day for everything we have done,  said and even thought that was not pleasing to you. Abba Fahter, we are sincerely sorry and humbly repent before You now. We’re asking for Your forgiveness and trusting in Your Promise that You are Faithful and Just to give us we receive it and thank You now.

We thank You for being The God of our Salvation, our Deliverance, Breakthrough, Provision, Protection and Guidance! We’re thankful that because You know our frame, Your Faithfulness and Compassion allow You to look beyond our human frailties, faults and iniquities to see and minister to all of our need!

Abba Father, we pray from a heart that’s open to you, depending and relying only upon You for renewed strength, understanding and power. 

We pray that as Your eyes continue to search the hearts of mankind that you save the lost, reclaim every back-slider and that You will place them and settle them into a church home today. Father, as we pray for those who are unsaved, we believe that You are putting a ‘commited Yes’ in their heart and in their mind that they will come to you today and receive You as their personal Savior and Lord!  Abba Father, we’re trusting that those who have turned away from Your Face and gone back to the evil Task Master of the world hearts will be pricked by Your Loving Kindness and run back to Your Presence with a determination to live the rest of their lives fully devoted to Your Will, Word and Ways!

Father, we commit our children, our children’s children and by faith, into Your providential care! Lord, we realize that You have a plan and purpose for their lives too. We’re believing that Your Hands are hemming them in and covering them wherever they are. We have the blessed assurance that their steps are yet being ordered by Your eyes!

Heavenly Father, stir up the hearts and minds of those who are professing Your Name that they will have a desire for an even greater personal, intimate relationship with Creator God through fellowship of Holy Spirit that they might prove what is the perfect and acceptable will of The Lord Jesus!

Father we lift up every government official, education, financial, judicial, health care and spiritual leader, asking a special miracle for each and every one of them who are yet standing on the wall living, representing and proclaiming Your Word under the conviction and anointing of Holy Spirit.

Father, we’re trusting and believing that you will Grace them to be the examples in their homes, churches and community that will cause everyone who comes into contact with them to fall in love, trust wholly in and live their lives serving You! Knowing that You Sovereignly Rule and Reign over the affairs of mankind, we pray and thank you for President Obama, Secretary Clinton and their families, trusting that no weapon that is formed against them shall prosper.

We ask that you continue to open the eyes of understanding so that your people are not easily deceived by those who would desire to entrap your children in bondage once again to anything that You have delivered us from.

Father, we thanking You for an outpouring of Your Divine Favor upon each and every one of your children who are seeking employment, promotion, prompt approval for student/car/home loans and assure them that YOU are YET HE, Jehovah Jareh, who shall supply all of their need according to Your Riches in Glory!

Heavenly Father, we pray that you will touch our brother, touch our sister whose body has been afflicted by all physical, mental, spiritual sickness and diseases, we plead The Blood of Jesus against the spirit of cancer, kidney failure, heart conditions, high/low blood pressures, depression, demonic-induced oppressions of temptations, doubts, addictions, learning disabilities, low self esteem, and disappointment, rejection and failure, and we rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake!

Father we decree that every Satanic-induced spirit of fear and death is defeated NOW because of Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness and Purpose is being released into the lives of Your people now, in Jesus Name!

Sweet Jesus, according to Your Word declaring that your stripes have redeemed and healed us we’re yet standing firmly on your promise that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name!

Lord, I pray for every believer who is yet holding on to Your Hand by faith today, that You will release Divine power, Supernatural strength and health, provision, prosperity and protection. We pray also Father, that You will preserve them thru the tests that they must go thru and that You will bring them out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word.

Father, we rejoice now in confident quietness, trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling, suddenly departing in torment and shame, turning their backs and running away from Your people, because You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayers as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Heavenly Father, we thank You, honor and praise You now, for we believe that IT IS DONE IN THE EXALTED NAME OF JESUS! AMEN 3X!!!

Now, Beloved, we encourage every child of God who is standing in agreement with this prayer, GO TELL SOMEBODY THAT JESUS LOVES EVERYBODY! #FRONTLINEMINISTRY #CARE2SHARE

Good morning Precious Ones! GOTTA MOMENT? AWESOME!

We so excited to have you join us today in our weekly Day of Corporate Fasting and Prayer! As we go before The Lord, we’re praying for the Saints everywhere! We understand that the enemy has launched a decree to destroy the Hope and Joy of God’s elect, particularly the next generation! But God says that the violent shall pursue, recover and conquer everything that God has given us.  Our children are our gifts from God! The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but Mighty thru God for the pulling down strongholds.

 

MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS, BUT JESUS BLOOD AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. I DARE NOT TRUST THE SWEETEST FRAME. BUT! HOLY LEAN ON JESUS NAME! On CHRIST, THE SOLID ROCK, I STAND, ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND, ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND! O, HOW I LOVE JESUS! O! HOW I LOVE JESUSSSSS, O, HOW I LOVE JESUS…BCUZ HE FIRST LOVED ME…WE’RE PRAYING, BELIEVING & DECREEING…

 

Abba Father, nothing in our hands we bring, but solely clinging to the richness of The Magnificent,  All Powerful Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus, we come before You, determined to rejoice, praise and thank You for blessing us to see the 1st day of September 2016!

Looking back, we know that it was no goodness of our own but Your Faithful Love has allowed us to be here to see one more brand new day and the beginning of a new month. Thank You, Benevolent Father, for this opportunity to enjoy the abundance of Your Mercy, Your Grace, Your Power and Your Peace!

Father, we come blessing You for the day that You opened our hearts enabling us to recognize and receive the saving Grace in the Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Your Son, Jesus! We acknowledge that because it pleased You, You choose us to be Your very own children! Even though there was absolutely nothing in us lovable nor worthy of this honor and privilege! Lord Jesus, we are eternally grateful that we’re here now only because You so purposed in Your Heart and by Your Own Hand!

We’re grateful that knowing our frame, Your faithfulness and compassion yet  allows You to look beyond our human frailties, faults and iniquities to see and minister to every one of our need! Therefore, we shall never fail to acknowledge  You Alone as God of our Salvation, Deliverance, Breakthrough and Provision!

Once, again, Heavenly Father, out of the sincerity of our hearts, continuously open to, depending and relying solely upon You, we’re prazing You for renewed strength, wisdom, understanding and power!

And because no man can come close to the Father except You draw them, we believing that as Your eyes continuously search the hearts of mankind, that You will draw and save the lost, reclaim every back-slider and direct their footsteps to their local church home today. We’re trusting that many of our unsaved loved ones and friends will be saved before the end of 2016 and will join our Eternal Family!
Father, we’re asking You to touch our brother, touch our sister whose body has been afflicted by sickness and disease, especially the spirit of cancer, high/low blood pressure, heart disease, kidney, lung failure, satanically induced depression/oppression/addictions and rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake. Lord, YOUR infallable WORD has decreed that the stripes that Jesus bore on His back has already redeemed and healed us and we’re yet standing on Your Eternal Authority as Creator and Ruler of the Ages, that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name!

Lord,  as You remember those who are being overlooked, held down and even abused by racial prejudice in the marketplace, we’re believing You to intervene on their behalf, release miraculous Favor and Prosperity, unexpected promotions, open up opportunities for entrepreneurship, increase education grants, lower interest mortgage rates, cancel debts, send book contracts and overturn legal decisions to give those who have placed their personal faith in You the victory!

Lord, we’re praying for every believer who is yet holding on to Your Hand by faith today, that from the portals of The Throne Room,You are releasing a double portion of Your overflowing Divine power, Supernatural Strength, Health, Provision, Prosperity and Protection.

Lord, as we’re praying, we’re believing You to preserve Your elect thru every tests, trial and even tragedy! Keep us constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE, fully-confident that You shall bring everyone of us out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed, possessing the rewards as You have promised in Your Word!

Heavenly Father, we lift up our political, social, judicial, business, religious leaders, trusting You to touch the hearts of each one of them! Grace them to be the holy humble examples in their homes, marketplace, communities and churches that will cause those who are in their sphere of influce to love, trust and live everyday of life serving, representing and glorifying You, Our Heavenly Father!

Abba Father, we pray that every demonic-induced spirit of fear, failure, rejection, hopelessness and disappointment is defeated now as Your Anointing,  Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness is being released now, in Jesus Name!

We’re trusting that each morning Your children will awaken empowered with assuring grace to accomplish every assignment and will sleep peacefully every nite, confident of earnest hope-filled tomorrows!

Lord, we wait in confident quietness, trusting wholly,  as we’re praying, that the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts are delighting and pleasing Your heart, that suddenly, every worker of iniquity is trembling and departing in fear and shame, turning their backs and running away from Your people, knowing that inspite of their threats, You have heard the voice of our weeping, our supplications and received our prayer as a sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne of Grace and Mercy!

Father, we thank, honor and praise You NOW, BELIEVING that every request and supplication that has been set before you today…IT IS DONE! IN THE EXALTED NAME OF JESUS THE CHRIST! AMEN 3X!

Now, every soul that is standing in agreement, SEAL THIS PRAYER BY ENCOURAGING ONE SOMEBODY, LETTING THEM KNOW THAT JESUS CARES!

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls, But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16

 

Okay! I gotta confess, our family might be a bit eccentric! But, c’mon, ever met anyone’s clan who wasn’t, huh?  YEAH, RIGHT! 

One of the personal proclivities of our household is the weekly (or daily for the patriarch) excursions to every thrift store within a 20 mile radius of our home. Overtime, the quest to recruit followers has been somewhat successful, amongst the older members of the family. However, the considerable efforts to pass down this soul rewarding heritage to future generations, have most often been met with extreme resistance! Obviously, the young’ns have yet to developed the palate necessary to distinguish (#appreciatethevalue) old from vintage!

Hence, may I submit for your consideration, that these same sentiments can  perhaps be attributed, spiritually, to the world at large! Don’t shout me down, now? Seriously! Given the spirit of this 21st Century Age of comtemporarized, unconventional, ambiguity, tolerance and self-motivated righteousness, apparently there’s little need and even less desire to conform to the irrelevant, antiquated dictatorship of The Holy Bible! After all, look what we’ve already done! Jus check out the mind-blowing accomplishments that we’ve attained just in the past 100 years, right?

To be honest, in a high-tech synthetic world of rockets, jets, cruiseliners, skycrapers and paved roadways, voice activated iphones and ipads…one might easily get caught up in a world where nature is generally overlooked! It’s no wonder that we tend to ignore The Creator and glorify creation! I mean, it’s kinda foolish to serve a God that you can’t even explain, when our sophisticated intellectual contemporary world appears to offer every kind of solutions to any problems that we face, right?

I’m sure you know by now that there’s always going to be plenty of folk around you who will tell you that ‘all you gotta do’ is keep on trying; pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and remember you da man 2 make it happen, right? But as good as that sounds, what do you do when you ain’t got no boots?

Life has a way of suddenly intruding upon, unannounced and uninvited, and dismantling the perfect 5-year plan that we’ve conjured up, leaving you at the crossroads of clueless, helpless and worse yet hopeless as how to recover and reconnect the broken pieces! It’s  usually at this point, that our Heavenly Father, reaches down into the pits of our vanity and depravity and draws us into a personal encounter with the Creator of Life, Love, Faith for Peace and Joy! It’s in this state that we discover that the true meaning and purpose for our being is to praise and glorify HIM!

As Holy Spirit begins to reveal Godself to you through The Word and intimate communion (prayer) the eyes of your understanding is enlighten and you recognize that the path for right living has already been marked out by God before the foundation of the world!

Unfortunately, even today, so few will choose to leave the glitz and glamour of the wide road, going their own way, and venture off to the old narrow pathways to follow in the footsteps of The OneTrue Shepherd! Those who have lost (or were never privvy to) God’s Perspective of their lives, tend to minimize the benefits of being set apart to manifest the Glory of God’s Mercy and Grace to a people living in a world filled with the emptiness of gross darkness, lost yet consumed with persuing a hell-bound life of eternal devastation and destruction!

Everyday, we’re forced to make numerous decisions, however there’re those which have eternal consequences. Are you going to choose the old ways (God’s) or will you continue forging on new paths of your own way?

Don’t get it twisted, JESUS is STILL the ONLY WAY LEADING TO PEACE AND REST FOR YOUR SOUL! #BACK2DAFUTURE!!!

Dual Citizenship! Living in this world while at the same time recognizing that we’re aliens of another Kingdom, occupying this place in time as carriers of The Glory until the return of Jesus Christ, The King is absolutely-mind-blowingly-awemaazin, huh?

But! Sometimes, life comes at us so hard and so fast that we lose consciousness of the core of our faith—Truth—and find our hearts being ripped betwixt two realities. That confident heritage of the saints, is often disrupted by the intrusive presence of aggravating adverse circumstances!

Now, don’t get it twisted! I’m not saying that we forget we’ve been called and chosen by God to be instruments of righteousness at His bidding. Hopefully, most of us have long since gotten past that issue. We believe with all our hearts that one day we will live eternally in Heaven with our Father. But!!! It’s the meantime that keeps tripping us up! Our frail-flawed-fickle, self-centered-fleshy-nature keeps drawing us back to the ol’ days when we sat on The Throne of our hearts, making decisions and judgments according to what seemed right in our own minds! Can I getta Amen?

Remember when that ol’ man had nothing to restrain us from focusing all our time, thoughts and energy on getting whatever we wanted, whenever we thought we needed? We were clueless that we were actually being used by rulers of darkness, hell bent on pulling us away from The Omnipresence, Omniscience, Omnipotence Creator and driving us head first into a sink hole of fear, discouragement, hopelessness and failure!

YEP! We were oblivious to the enemy’s wicked scheme to entrap us; besieging our minds with his ticker-tape alerts forecasting the high probability of hurricane wind gusts, overcast skies of dread, gloom and doom! Unfortunately, for too many of us, Satan’s so competent with his devices that if we’re not careful, we will come into agreement with him, setting the course for fulfillment of the very thing we fear! Hence, when we surrender to our fears, we give validity to them, and worse yet, proving him (The Father of Lies) to be a true prophet!

That is until  Holy Spirit quickens us, reminding us that we’re no longer obligated or enslaved by our former Task Master! When we come to ourselves, purpose in our hearts, settling our affections on things above and acknowledge The Greater One abiding in us, we slam the devil down to his rightful place (under our feet)! Dontchakno? When YOU believe GOD, the tormentor has no choice but to back up off of ya!

When we activate the spiritual weaponry of warfare that God has armed every believer by commanding our minds to think of the Goodness of Jesus and all that He has done, continues to do and promises to do—the Joy of The Lord swells up in our hearts, illuminating our thoughts, erupting inevitable praise!Suddenly, The Glory of His Presence shows up filling our hearts and minds with a peace that passes all understanding! (Ref. 2 Corinthians 10:4 and Philippians 4:7)

Beloved, the next time that lying devil tries to steal your hope, jus throw THE ROCK at him and JUST THINK YOURSELF HAPPY WITH PRAISE!

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3! Then pick up another rock and seal the victory! “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11)

There’s  a theme out there that an athletic company promoted, I know you’ve probably heard it…. JUST DO IT! Well can I share my spin on this whole thing. DROP IT! #GETIT? WELL,  JUS DO IT!

Okay, let me brake it down for you! Instead of rehearsing the dilemma over and over and over in your mind, replaying every scene, every detail, every ounce of pain, inch of failure, every second of disappointment, the depth of the hopelessness – Just Drop It!  Back-off from it. Make the decision, once and for all, I AM THROUGH WITH THIS – RIGHT NOW!  From this moment on, I am going to lean and depend on God to take care of this. 

I hearya! I’ve tried that! It’s easier said than done! I totally get it. But may I offer a suggestion for your consideration? Stop trying to do it yourself!  This might seem to be a strange concept, in a world that teaches independence, self-reliance, pull yourself up by your bootstraps!  But Saints of God, we must remember, first of all, we are in this world but not of it.  The Kingdom of God operates on principles and precepts that are diametrically antithetical to the world’s perspective! The WORD teaches us that God resists the proud but gives grace, strength and help to the humble. (Ref. James 4:6)  Hence, GOD never intended those who’ve turned the reins of their lives over to Jesus, trusting in His Saving Grace, to do life on our own! He sent us help, y’all! The Holy Ghost!  #TILT!!!!
 
Now, I already hear some you thinking, asking, but how? Here’s how!  Ignore it, show a lack of concern for that thing that the enemy is constantly using to torment you!  By acknowledging the Truth –because God cares for you, He’s watching over you and He knows exactly how to bring justice (all things working together for your highest good) into your life. (Ref. Romans 8:28)
 
Next, renew your mind!  Don’t take those negative thoughts, in other words–CONSIDER NOT ! ‘But, but…but how do I do this? ‘ It’s a lot simpler than you might think.  Just try it, think about a cat….see it…now think about a dog….what happened to the cat? 
 
Just think about something else!  Replace that negative thought with a positive one.  Think (set your thoughts, focus on something good, lovely, pure, honest, true, some thing that’s promised in the Word)! (Ref. Philippians 4:8)

Saints, when you intentionally apply GOD’S WORD to your life, it puts Satan in his rightful place! Under your feet! The Word of God tells the devil, “Ooooh H#### No!  It didn’t work the last time, devil and guess what? IT AIN’T GONNA WORK THIS TIME EITHER!” 

Got it? C’mon nah! Now, you pick it up! “AND… OH, BY THE WAY, GO TELL THE REST OF YOUR COHERTS THAT U R STILL A LIAR AND A THIEF! OBVIOUSLY YOU’VE FORGOTTEN. I DON’T BELONG 2 U ANYMORE,  REMEMBER! I BELONG 2 JESUS! THEREFORE, I’VE BEEN ANOINTED, AUTHORIZED AND APPOINTED BY THE LIVING WORD OF GOD TO RESIST YOU; THEREFORE I REFUSE TO ACCEPT YOUR NEGATIVE REPORTS!  AND GUESS WHAT? IF U KNOW WHAT’S GOOD 4 U, U’D GET OUTTA MY WAY! CUZ, I AIN’T FIX’IN 2 DO THAT THING U SAID I COULDN’T, I’M DOING IT!”

GREAT JOB!
 
Now, stop talking about it, stop picking the wound! LET IT GO!  VICTORY IS WAITING 4 U! Didjaheardat? Wel?, Jus do it…DROP IT!  #BOOM!!!!

O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Psalm 105:1-3
 

Have you heard that old saying, “it’s not what you know, but who you know”?  Well, apparently it’s true.  Sometimes, the only right of entry to certain segments of our society is the ‘name droppin’ game. For example, if you’re ever invited to be a guest on The Ophrah Winfrey Show, it’s pretty much a given that you’re in like Flint (or is it Flynn?)!   Oh well anyway, this practice is quite prevalent, even in the church!  Shhhh!
 
Recently, I was watching a TV preacher promoting his book and a prayer shawl and couldn’t help but be amused at how cleverly he dropped the name of another world-renown televangelist. Now don’t get upset with me, I ain’t hatin’. Neither am I implying anything; simply making an observation.  Apparently, it’s okay to imply that you know a person without disclosing that you’ve never actually been personally introduced.
 
I can’t help but wonder why it’s perfectly acceptable to brag on your association with all these other folks, yet socially inappropriate to drop the NAME that is exalted above every other name? Ooh, but if you’re ever privileged to experienced Him, personally, it’s bordering on the brink of impossible to keep from bragging on His Name!  The old church used to say, ‘When I think of the goodness of JESUS, and all He’s done for me, my soul cries out HALLELUJAH!!!  I thank GOD for saving me! AMEN?
 
Ever found yourself standing in a grocery line or sitting in a restaurant and heard someone drop the Name Jesus? If you’re like me, chances are it ignited a kindred spirit within, and you couldn’t help yourself from surveying the perimeter to see who’s talking about our God! After all, if they’re lifting up that Name, then we must be related!
 
If you’re into ‘name dropping’, then why not drop THE NAME that will one day cause every knee to bow and every tongue to confess Him as Lord! (Ref. Romans 14:11)  So don’t be deterred by your haters, obviously they don’t know Him like you do–yet! 
 
Just drop this on them, “Yes I said it, His Name Is JESUS, and if you knew Him, like I do, you’d be praising Him too!”  Name Droppin!  TRY IT?
