BEHOLD OUR GOD

SELAH Daily Devotions!

 

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid, for YAH, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:2-3

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. Isa. 49:16

 

In light of prevailing gross darkness and prevalent winds of foreboding devastation and desolation in our world today, it’s no wonder that we’re stressed out, huh? Even those who have placed their faith in the Saving Grace of Jesus very souls have been vexed by the state of this nation! In answer to my prayerful inquiry, ‘Precious Lord, what’s going on?’,  I was incited by the Comforting Presence of Holy Spirit to review the words of God’s Prophet, Isaiah, speaking to the remnant of God’s Elect nation.

According to the text, once again, God’s people find themselves facing eminent danger of massive destruction, yet we hear Isaiah offering  words of warning and hope that we’d do well to glean from today! The Prophet encourages them that no matter what’s happening around you, don’t be afraid, but keep trusting and praising our God! Isaiah, knowing God inhabits the praises of His people, speaks to souls wearied by the consequences of unwise choices and reminds them that their only hope of deliverance was to remain steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of their Lord! (Ref. 1 Corinthians 15:58)

Saints, the first step in overcoming any challenge is to keep the main thing the main thing! God is Holy, Righteous and Just! While He must punish the unjust, His Anger does not last forever! Unlike many of our earthly fathers, YAH is our covenant-keeping God and remains a Faithful Father, Saving Strength, Shield, Provider and Redeemer to all who call upon Him! From His own Mouth, Abba Father promises to wipe away the tears from our faces and keep us in perfect peace just because we trust in Him! #Didjaheardat?  WOW! (Ref. Isaiah 25:8, 26:3-4)

Beloved, when life is out of your control, set your affections on The Eternal Hope of the Ages and not the temporary circumstances of this present time! Rest assured, Jesus is always in control!  God’s Word declares that you are the apple of His eye and He has tatooed your name in the palm of His Hands forever. (Ref. Psalm 17:8; Isa. 49:16)

In the midst of these unsettling times, I adjourn you to keep your eyes on Jesus, The Joy of your Salvation! Precious ones, when you can’t see no way, why not confuse hell and praiz JESUS anyhow! Don’tchaknow? At the mere mentioning of THE NAME OF JESUS demons tremble and the angelic host is put on alert!

Ooooh Yeah! TRUST2KNOW, The Great and Holy One of Israel is closer than ever before! Therefore, Precious Ones, don’t be deceived by temporary circumstantial evidence! Hold on to every Promise we’ve been given by your Covenant Keeping Lord and “Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”  (Psalm 121:4)  LOOK UP AND BEHOLD YOUR GOD!

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:5, 9

 

Throughout the [ages of The Holy Scriptures God has placed examples (role models) to teach us wisdom, to encourage us and to show us the potential hidden within each of us who will allow His Power to be manifested through our very being! However, it’s important to note that at some point in the lives of His servants, God will remove anyone or anything that you become co-dependent upon and anything that represents a mark for you to follow other than GOD-SELF! You shall have no other gods before Me. Exodus 20:3

 For forty years, Joshua had witnessed the anointing that rested upon Moses demonstrated through miraculous signs and wonders. He saw the courage and boldness with which Moses approached Pharaoh, commanding that he release God’s Chosen People.
“Go back to Pharaoh,” the LORD commanded Moses. “Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so they can worship me” Exodus 9:1

THEN, God spoke to Joshua, calling him to complete the task of leading Israel into The Promised Land. “Moses is dead; his season is over. Now it’s time for you, Joshua, to arise and position yourself that I might use you to fulfill my purpose through you. It’s time to go over the Jordan!”

Perhaps you’ve been there, huh? I mean, being confronted by an amazing opportunity that while potentially privileged, at the same time, seeming undeniably impossible! Seriously, when you don’t have that person/job/wisdom, skill, etc. that mentored, challenged, encouraged and stretched you beyond your comfort zone, it’s highly likely the waves of personal insufficiency will rise up and suddenly you find yourself tripping over hidden rocks of low self-esteem! Of course you don’t know if you have what you need to go over whatever it’s gonna take to overcome and succeed! #ijs!

Barricaded by the Spirit of Lo-debar, beneath the rubble of fear, doubt, shame and anxiety, the insurgent provocative ‘what if’s’ begin to surface, challenging your faith! Not in God, but can you stand up to the responsibility of such daunting privilege? Okay, I guess it’s jus me, huh?

BUT…Ain’t you glad that God already knows what He’s getting when He calls us? Hallelujah 2 the Lamb!!!

Thankfully, God knowing our frame, never asks us to do anything that He’s not totally committed to helping us complete! God made Joshua a Promise that you and your people will go over this Jordan! Didjaheardatt? Don’t jus dream about it, don’t just talk about it! BUT position yourself in GOD and GOD WILL give you the land! Be strong in the Lord and the Power of HIS MIGHT! (Ref. Ephesians 6:10) Ignore the naysayers, and take GOD at HIS WORD! Don’t fret, falter or fain! Put it in your heart, mind and your mouth! U gotta know that over that barrier, there’s a blessing awaiting you!

Remember, wherever your feet go, GOD SAID, I HAVE GIVEN IT 2 U! AS I WAS WITH MOSES, SO SHALL I BE WITH U! Hence, Beloved, take courage and trust GOD for your success! NOW GET UP AND GO GET YOUR BLESSING! #ARISE&CONQUER!

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah…God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. Psalm 62:7-8,11
 

Over the past 50 years, we’ve seen a whole lot of changes. Our society has evolved from being agriculturally dominated, thru industrially dominated, into an age where information technology dominates. Some of you remember what it was like growing up in the country. You worked hard and you played hard,  right? But through it all, you were able to maintain a healthy balance between the physical labor of working the fields and the ease of drinking a cold glass of lemonade sitting on the porch come Sunday afternoon.
 
Then, the war came, and many of our brothers went off to war leaving the familiarity of the farms for foreign soil, forcing those left behind into factories working the machinery building weapons, mass production of crops, meat, clothing, etc. The dirt roads and shotgun houses were replaced by concrete paved streets and skyscrapers. The Industrial Age had taken over and the ease of those Sunday mornings vacated and swapped with washing the car, 2 hours at the gym, 3-mile runs, kids soccer games, karate tournaments, or at the very least, I gotta get my stuff ready to go back to work next week!
 
As wars and rumors of wars escalate, so has tension, stress and the push for greater technological advancements. The factories have basically come to a hault as the focus shifted away from meeting the needs of common folk  onto which nation will gather the most information proving who’s the best of the best; who’s going to be the first country to put a man on the moon, mars of take over a yet undiscovered universe; who’s gonna build the biggest bomb, and who’s gonna conquer outer space once we blow up this planet. YEAH BABY, WE’VE COME A LONG WAY, huh?
 
Who nu? Here we are in the 21st Century, and for many we got what we wanted, but at what cost? The laughter of our children in the yard jumping double-dutch, playing football, the swish of the ball dropping through a wooden loop, the clicking sounds of cardboard or plastic between the spikes of bikes, roller skates racing down the streets have been silenced by the noise of doors being slammed by rebellious children barricading themselves in their rooms; whispering, texting and yes, even sexing on $500 cell phones/ipads or the clicking of remote controls to $700  video games played on 75-inch flat screen TV’s! Owww Wheeeeee, don’t shout me down now!
 
While we, the parents have bought into the propaganda being dupped with the misguidedphilosopy, “I’m gonna make sure that my baby has it better than I did”, we’ve created a generation of young people who seem to get everything in life they want, yet have nothing to live for. Meanwhile, many of them are engaging in disruptive habits that scream, “LIFE’S A BEACH! I hate myself, and I hate you too. So why not make a pact to commit suicide, or I’m bored so let’s go shoot up a bunch of folk we don’t even know.”
 
Honestly! If you’re not prayerful, it’s easy to allow all the hell of this world to consume your whole life.  Yall don’t believe it, huh?  Well, it’s gotten to the point now that even the most seasoned saints may ponder the Satanically-induced thought of cutting your own wrist, just to escape the peril of these wicked times. 

BUT GOD! Knowing everything that humanity would experience, left it on record to console those who would become weary in well-doing, ‘while we’re in this world—we are not of this world!’ Although, we are not exempt from test, trials and persecution, we are never alone! (Ref. Hebrews 13:5)
 
Precious Saints, when it looks like there’s no point to living for God (aka) living holy and you’ve come to the end of your rope, that’s your clue—not to give up but to take a stand—tie a knot in the rope and hang on! Cling to the Hope of your calling, Jesus Christ—The Living Word of Life! (Ref. Ephesians 1:18)  Don’t get it twisted, it ain’t always what it looks like!
 
Remember, when the dusts settles,  He Who has called you is Faithful and True (Ref. 1 Thessalonians 5:24; Revelations 19:11) and He Yet Reigns! ALL POWER BELONGS 2 GOD! #Didjaheardat?

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither, And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

 

SOMETIMES! I wonder how much easier life would be, if in fact it was meant to be lived “Que sera, sera …Whatever will be, will be. The future’s not ours to see. Que sera, sera …What will be, will be“ ?

However appealing this perspective might appear at first glance, truthfully, God Who Sovereignly created us in His Own Image, never intended us to be merely robotic beings devoid of the ability to reason and make decisions based on our individual free will. God deliberately fashioned and formed us to be fully capable active participants in working out His Plan for each of our individual lives. In other words, life, according to God’s Purpose, is not a spectator’s sport!

How childish and immature it would be to think otherwise, huh? As my son once reminded me, reminiscing back to the days when the most critical decisions he had to make that day was, ‘is it gonna be Fruit Loops or Captain Crunch’? But now, finally, as all-grown-up adults,we no longer enjoy the privileges childhood innocence affords to casting off the burden of personal responsibility and accountability for our own actions unto unsuspecting parents, school teachers, coaches, counselors, professors, supervisors, pervasive racism, financially scrapped government institutions, corrupt politicians, over zealous police officers, the collapse of basic moral ethics and inevitable endangered decaying environmental resources.

And we couldn’t wait for this?

God uses all of these, (and much much more) to train and transform us into the persons that He’s Divinely ordained us to be—a reflection of His Amazing Grace and Ominous Glory! The problem is, we’re hell-bent on thinking that God expects us to carry out this work, totally independent of His Sovereign Controlling Interest in the Process! And we all know how that eventually turns out, huh?

Hopefully, sooner rather than later, we having exhausted all of our own fire, are forced to acknowledge “This ain’t working, Lord. I need Your helllpppp! Lord, save me!” Thank God, Who steps right in, rolling up His spiritual sleeves, bears us up under The Power of Holy Spirit, places us back on The Potter’s Wheel, gracefully presses, pinches, prodding, pounding, purges and pushes us through the next phase in His process of Restoration.

When we pray and ask God to restore us, we must be willing to submit to the process. Here is where most of us miss it. We don’t want the pain, humility and the lack of control that’s often required in order to equip and empower us for the next level of spiritual growth and development. So often we, the unwilling participants, come kicking and screaming, murmuring and complaining, doubting and accusing God of miscalculating just how much we can bear!

Until finally, we surrender, committing our care to His Loving Hands, trusting His Purpose to be greater than our personal pain, embracing HIS Will rather than ours, finding more  power, rest, hope and joy than you ever  dared imagined,  are comforted by HIS UNSHAKEABLE PEACE! Hallelujah 2 The Lamb!

Welcome to a new day! Today, we’re excited that you have joined us in our Thursdays’ Day of Corporate Fasting & Prayer! Once again, we appreciate the opportunity and privilege to entreat The Presence of our Great High Priest, pouring out our hearts desires, petitions and supplications with Thanksgiving. We know that He delights in our embracing Him in earnest expectation, confident that He Who Rules Forever by His Power is able to save and deliver us from any of life’s maladies! Shall we pray?

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine; O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God; Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood! This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long! This is my story, this is my song; Praising my SAVIOR ALL THE DAY LONG! OOOOHHH, Sweet Wonder! OOOOH Sweet Wonder! Jesus, The Son of God! OOOHH SWEET WONDER! OH! SWEET WONDER! JESUS, THE SON OF GOD!

 

Abba Father, it is with great joy that we entreat Thy Seat of Mercy today! We’re confident that You have afforded us this awesome honor and privilege, not because we deserve it, but based solely on Your Loving-Kindness towards us, we draw nigh into Your All Encompassing Presence! Lord, we Thankya for Your Faithful Obedience to please The Heart of The Father by sacrificing Your Life in our stead, that we might become Sons of The True and Living God! And for this cause, we bow in humble gratitude, fully aware that as we come before you, empty and void of anything that would warrant such awesome graciousness, but because Your Righteousness, we are now the beneficiary of All that You are in the eyes of God!

Sweet Jesus, we know that You already know everything about every single one of us, because of Your Omniscience and Omnipresence! Because You walked among us, allowing Yourself to be tempted at all point as we are, You learned what we experience in these earthly tabernacles and can be touched with the feelings of our infirmities! Therefore You, as our Great High Priest, are able to intercede on our behalf continuously searching and conveying the very thoughts, intents, emotions and physical weaknesses that we’re often unable to articulate to The Father of All Grace, Compassion and Comfort! We Thankya Lord Jesus, for being our Very Present Help!

Precious Lord, while we try to please You by trusting in Your Word, You know that sometimes, it’s difficult to over-ride the noise of the pestilence, the chaos of uncertainty and the pain of condemnation, guilt, and shame that seems to lure us into the valleys over-shadowed with danger, fear, anger, bitterness, anxiety, hopelessness and self-doubt! That’s why we gladly run to You, daily to find the forgiveness, refuge, peace, restoration that You have prepared for any who would come to You in hope-filled assurance that You will never deny Your Word!

Heavenly Father, we’re forever blessing You for continuing to renew our strength, understanding and power as we open our hearts to You,  depending and relying only on You. As we yield before You, we pray for those who are unsaved, we’re believing You to ignite a Spirit of Godly-repentance that they may respond with a “SINCERE Yes” from their heart and mind sparking  an unquenchable desire to come to You today, accepting Your invitation of Saving Grace to be their Lord and Savior!

Lord, we’re believing You to put a “COMMITTED Yes” in the heart and mind of every backslider! Make today their day to come back to You and  back to YOUR church, where they will be nurtured, encouraged and trained in The Ways of Holiness that they might live everyday of the rest of their lives glorifying You to a lost and dying world as their personal Lord and Savior!

Father,  touch our brother, touch our sister who has been afflicted by any sickness and disease, including the spirit of cancer, kidney failure, high blood pressure, low blood pressure and rebuke and cast it out at the root, for Your Name Sake. We come into agreement with your Word and declare that Your stripes have redeemed and healed us and we’re yet standing on your promises that the prayer of faith shall save the sick and raise them up, In Jesus Name! And as You are strengthening these, we ask that you also invigorate, encourage and replenish the spirits, minds and bodies of those who are charged to care for their loved ones!

We pray also Father, that You preserve every believer thru the tests that they must go thru and keep them constantly aware of YOUR PRESENCE and fully-confident that You will bring them out wholly restored, renewed, refreshed and with the reward as You have promised them in Your Word. Release Divine power, Supernatural strength, consolation, health, provision, prosperity and protection!

Abba Father, as we lift up our children, our grands and great-grandchildren, we’re trusting You to cancel every scheme that Satan desires to inflict upon them! Realizing that You have a plan and purpose for their lives also, we’re committing them into Your Providential Care, with the blessed assurance that their steps and stops are being ordered by Your eyes!

Father, stir up the hearts and minds of those who are professing Your Name that we may have a desire for an even greater personal, intimate relationship with Creator God through fellowship of Holy Spirit that they might prove what is the perfect and acceptable will of The Lord Jesus!

Abba Father, as we lift up every spiritual leader, we ask for an immediate manifestation of that special miracle for each and every one of them who are yet standing on the wall proclaiming Your Word under the conviction and anointing of Holy Spirit! Dear Jesus, we’re trusting and believing You to Grace them to be the examples in their homes, churches and community that will cause everyone who comes into contact with them to fall in love with You, trust wholly in and commit to live their lives serving You!

Knowing that You Sovereignly Rule and Reign over all the affairs of mankind, Heavenly Father we pray, according to Your Will, for the leaders of our nations, local and national government, corporate, judicial, education, financial institutions! We’re asking that You touch the minds and hearts,  speak to them in dreams and visions and let them know that You Who Sit Enthroned Above the Heavens are keeping record of the deeds of every man’s heart and will reward accordingly! He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment. He who digs a hole and scoops it out will fall into the pit he has made. The trouble he causes recoils on himself and his violent schemes will come down on his own head.

Heavenly Father, as we close our prayer, we bring so many before Your throne O God. Deliver all those who are broken hearted, feeble in body and spirit, the one at a crossroad of life, the ones addicted to harmful substances, our armed forces, policemen, fire and rescue personnel, nurses, doctors, pastors and leaders, missionaries far and near! We’re trusting You to send peace where there is confusion, send love where there is hate, send unity where there is division. Bless the fatherless and motherless.

Father, we believe that every demonic-induced spirit of temptation, addiction, rejection, self-hate, suicide, fear and failure is already defeated by Your Anointing and that the Spirit of Love, Power and Sound-mindness is being released now as You Faithfully keep us ALL in your care. in Jesus Mighty Name! 

Father, we now rejoice  in confident quietness, earnestly expecting and trusting wholly that all workers of iniquity are trembling and suddenly departing in shameful defeat! We are eternally grateful that You have listened and receive our prayers as sweet savor coming up before Your Sovereign Throne! Your Love and Truth surround us as a wall and NO GOOD THING  will You withhold from us as we walk upright before You!

Father, we thank You NOW, for WE believe that it is done! In The Exalted Name of Jesus. Amen 3X and HALLELUJAH!

Now every child of God who is standing in agreement with this prayer, GO TELL SOMEBODY THAT JESUS SAVES!

TRUTH OR DARE???

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3

 

As a child, I imagined God as this Supernatural Giant Bully, somewhere far off, standing above the circle of the Earth; eyes roaming throughout the north, south, east and west; scoping the territory for the worst of the unrighteous, anxiously anticipating His next victim of massive destruction.

No wonder, looking back my childhood was basically engulfed by constant fear, trauma and terror. Knowing that you’re cursed from birth, yet not knowing when your sins would have piled up reaching that mystical number thereby provoking the anger of God’s Wrath, until His sledge-hammer clutching Hand would pierce the sky, pouncing upon your head and smashing your body into bits and pieces, which would immediately be gathered up by demons and transported to The Devil’s Hell for all of Eternity!

Well! Not being raised in a church-going christian household, meant that most of my GOD knowledge came from an ungodly environment. So, because most of us just naturally assumed we were that pre-destined part of the ‘have-nots’, we attempted to comfort one another with sayings like “at least I won’t be there by myself; all of my friends are gonna be right down there with me; and we’re gonna parta forever!’ Okay, I hear yall sanctified folk gasping, but what else could you expect, huh?

Can you imagine my surprise and the sheer delight of my po-fallen-soul when my heart was exposed to The Life-Giving-Light-Gospel of Jesus Christ? Seriously! Who knew that such a Holy God, did in fact love sinners like me, so much so that He actually gave up His Only Begotten Son, Who willingly sacrificed His Life, allowing sinners to be reconciled back to His Heavenly Father. Sounds incredibly unbelievable, huh? BUT IT’S THE TRUTH! (Ref. John 3:16)

Absolutely Amazing! Despite man’s continuous proclivity to rebellion against GOD, the door yet remains open to anyone who will accept GOD’S Gracious offer of Salvation! HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD! (Ref. Romans 10:13)

His eyes continuously patrolling the earth, looking for a single soul, who’s trying to live a pure life pleasing to HIM, that HE might forgive that person! (Ref. Jeremiah 5:1-2) Can you imagine The Holy Father’s grief? GOD being WISDOM, knowing that many have come swearing with their lips their dedication to GOD yet the wickedness of their lying hearts giving them away! Probably not, huh? Remember, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Proverbs 20:27

However, at the end of the day, I guess the question is not whether GOD is WHO HE SAYS HE IS, but rather,  will you choose Truth and live or dare to resist THE LOVE OF GOD, defy THE POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD and perish in your sin, huh? #ijs…

IN GOD'S SIGHT

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then, you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:8-9

Whaa Da? I get it! In the midst of the myriad of prominent prolific pastors, poised preachas, pulpit pounding prosperity prophets, packed out padded pews, dazzling mood lighting, symphonic sound systems and praiz and worship leaders (auditioning for Stella Awards), its kinda easy to lose sight of what qualifies as true spiritual success! #ijs! Can the courageous church say, Amen 3x!

Didjakno? Spiritual success is not measured according to perfection, fear, fainting, failures nor even wanting to give up!

It’s not measured according to how many chapters you read a day, how many scriptures you memorize or quote, your church affiliation, the number of zero’s on your tithe check, your designer labels, your zip code, what you drive, your last name or how many titles/degrees you have in front or behind your name!

Believe it or not, it’s not indigenous to your melodious prayers, swarming soul-stirring testimonies, how high you jump, or how fast you run around the church!

According to our scripture reference, Joshua was suddenly confronted with a situation that on the surface seemed impossible to fulfill! Unbeknownst to him,  during the last 40 years, God had been preparing him to lead his people into the Promised Land. Having personally witnessed a myriad of miraculous events since leaving Egypt, Joshua had become quite content with undergirding the awemazing ministry of God’s Servant/Leader, Moses.  However, when Moses died, Joshua’s world was struck by the shocking realization that God was calling him from the background to the forefront!

It’s a whole lot easier to sit on the side lines and admire, envy, compare, murmur or complain about what others are doing or not doing! However, when God flips the script and the burden and  responsibility of leadership is shifted upon you, your perspective is abruptly altered. Joshua discovered that the past courageous feats on the battlefield were rewarding, nevertheless it did not exempt him from the inner -threatening-hauntings of self-doubt, fear of failure,  frustrations, rejection and do I have what it takes to get this done???

But God knowing Joshua’s heart, so graciously interrupted these taunting imaginations, assuring him,  “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you.” (Ref. Joshual 1:5)  Joshua learned that at the end of the day, his success was not dependent on his own strength, military skills or intellect, but rested solely upon his ability to take God at His Word!  If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 #DIDJACDAT?  Failure is not an option when your hope is anchored in God’s Presence and Promises!

In God’s Eyes, spiritual success is the culmination of maneuvering your thru the mine-fields of this life, maturing while mastering and maintaining the knowledge and power of being saved, sane and survive all at the same time!

WOW! THAT’S  SUCCESS–IN GOD’S SIGHT! Now, WHO OR WHAT’S BLOCKING U?

Didjaheardat? WHO KNU? Most of us (Christians) already knew that the Jews held a uniquely privileged position in The Kingdom of God, having been Sovereignly called out by GOD Who introduced Himself, calling them His Chosen and giving them The Laws of Commandments through His servant Moses. Yet the truth of the matter is, they were still denied direct access into The Presence of God! Why? Because they had the same problem that every other human being born into the earth had. Sin-lusting Flesh! Don’t look at me with that tone of voice?

While they were given Stone Tablets outlining God’s Righteous Expectations of His people, to which they’d ignorantly profoundly arrogantly sworn to obey, in and of themselves, they were powerless to fulfill. The problem was, if you broke even one of The Law’s Commandments, you were guilty of breaking them all. Therefore, The Law blocked them, just as it does us 21st Century Believers. So God, in His Infinite Mercy, instituted a substitute ritual (animal blood sacrifice) to temporarily cover them from the penalty of their sinful ways yet affirming His Righteous Judgment! However, the blood of bulls, rams, goats and pigeons could never remove the power which sin held over our lives!

But GOD had a Plan and a Secret Weapon established before the foundation of this world! JESUS! The Holy Lamb of GOD! The only MAN capable of systematically rejecting the Master of Seduction and ruler of this world, Satan, despising the lure of sin’s temptations and steadfastly submitting to The Will of His Father (Ref. John 14:30) thereby abolishing the enmity of the Law in His Own Flesh! (Ref. Ephesians 2:13) GGLORRRAAAAA 2 GOD!

Not only was this GOOD NEWS for us Gentiles, who were outsiders of The Covenant Relationship that the Jews boasted of, but they too (who confess faith in The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) have now been granted total access through The Atoning Blood of Jesus Christ, to boldly enter The Holy of Holies, The Very Presence of God! Not just once a year and not just the High Priest, but any one of us at anytime we need, can confidently embrace His Throne of Grace and Mercy! (Ref. Hebrews 10:4)

THANKS BE TO THE HOLY LAMB OF GOD! We, who were once afar off, are now part of God’s Inner-Circle! BUT DON’T GET IT TWISTED! IT’S NOT based on our righteousness, but by GOD’S STANDARD OF PERFECTION, JESUS!  NOW THAT’S GRACE, huh? R…U…N?

One thing for certain, two things for sure: Life happens fast and furious! Preparing for the unexpected is a challenge for any of us! Saved or Unsaved, huh?

Yet as believers in The Lordship of Jesus Christ, we’re taught to do just that! The Word of God warns us that when faced with seemingly overwhelming circumstances, to resist the urge to give in to panic and anxiety! How many times has your circumstantial evidence threatened to destroy all hope for recovering the calmness that you once enjoyed walking in the comfort of God’s favor? #bothhandsup!

Nevertheless, time and wisdom have trained us that Satan delights in using the intermittent turbulent winds and upheaval waves of chaos, temptations and uncertainty to manipulate and vex the minds of unsuspecting sainted-souls of God’s elect.

From the beginning, The Master of Deceit, has proven himself quite adept in distracting our hearts away from what we know of God, derailing our commitment to trust and subccumbing to questioning, doubt, unbelief and ultimately dissipating our hope-filled confidence into pits of  desperation, fear and despair!

Although, sometimes it appears as if Satan has been declared the victor, it behooves you to not fall for the ‘ookey-doke’, and never ever underestimate The Power of God! God is Sovereign! Hence, your enemies can’t intrude into your life, except God allows! And the only reason that El–Shaddai everrrr temporarily permits the Hell Hounds to invade your personal space, is to prove that His greater purpose excels far beyond your temporary pain and discomfort!

Therefore, Beloved, don’t believe everything you see! The enemy’s arsenal is flanked by confusion, isolation, intimidation and fear. #FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL! Chances are, it ain’t what it looks like! Besides, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but as Children of Light, we’ve inherited HOLY GHOST POWER, LOVE AND SELF DISCIPLINE! (Ref. 1 Peter 4:12-14)  #WOW! #DIDJAHEADAT?

Regardless of what attempts to impede your trust and confident reliance on The Presence and Prominence of your Loving Heavenly Father, you stand your ground, cling steadfastly to what you’ve already experienced and continue to stride safely through the murky rivers of Life!  Albeit, some water gets into your boat, just keep in mind that The One who commands the sea and the waves is onboard, therefore your life is anchored in the Cleft of the Rock!

Precious Ones, faith in God’s Loving Care gives us eternal assurance that whenever life assails against us, we can ride out the storms resting in the quiet confidence that THE SELF-EXISTENT LORD WILL NEVER…NO NOT EVER… LEAVE OR FORSAKE US! (Ref. Hebrews 13:5) YEP!  REMEMBER, even if you’re going thru Hell, jus keep moving!  JESUS IS ALWAYS LOOKING OUT 4 U!

JESUS LIVED ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CIRCUMSTANCES! SO, WHAT’S UP WITH U?

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

 

Recently, I’ve come into contact with several people who undergo Dialysis treatment due to severe kidney failure. I am certainly not an expert in these matters, so humor me in my attempt to describe, in my acutely limited understanding, how dialysis works. Okay, here goes?

Apparently, the dialysis process involves draining the blood from the patient’s body thru a machine which filters out the impurities in the blood system and returns the clean blood back into the body. The number of the times the patient visits the dialysis center weekly varies according to the level of kidney dysfunction of the individual. While the benefits outweigh the risks of this procedure, there are potentially critical consequences of this process. One being anemia. One of the markers that the physician looks at to determine the stage of anemia is the ratio of white blood cells to red blood cells.

Prayerfully, none of you will ever suffer through anything like this, in the natural; yet it prompted me to look at its similarities spiritually. It’s becoming profoundly evident that The New millennium church is suffering from a severe case of spiritual anemic. Somewhere along the way, there has been a gradual drifting away and a markedly diminishing of the revelation, significance and the Power of The Blood of Jesus!

Consequently, the church is in dire need of a blood transfusion. The problem is most of the times this dis-ease goes virtually unnoticed and undiagnosed until we find ourselves sprawled out on a gurney in the ER (the Altar) depleted physically, emotionally, financially, relationally scrapped and spiritually bankrupt.

Oh yeah, some of us have become quite adept at putting on our ‘church-game-face’ and can actually manage to press on, for a good while, conquering one hurdle after another before draining all our strength. But inevitably, we get to that place where we’ve no other option but to come clean. ‘That’s it…I’m through…Kapoop…there’s absolute nothing left…I’ve tried to stop lying and cussin’, drinking and dopin’… I tried to handle this adulterous relationship…I’ve done all I can think of to keep this house/business/church afloat, keep these kids from going to jail…but now …I’m at my wits end.” And… That’s when we turn to Jesus, the True Source of All Strength and Power…The Master Physician!

You see the problem is, God never intended us to do it (LIFE) alone! That’s why He sent Jesus to restore the connection severed by Adam’s rebellion. The Blood of God’s Sacrificial Lamb flows from The Righteous to the unrighteous. As it is applied daily to our hearts, minds, our will through prayer, worship and study of His Word, filtering into every area of our lives we are fortified and sanctified holy and acceptable to God!

The transforming Blood of Jesus purifies our sin-consciousness and empowers us to overcome all of this life’s maladies replenishing hope and healing to an anemic church and to a lost and unholy world! #Didjaheardat? #WOW!

THAT’S THE GOSPEL! NEED A BLOOD TRANSFUSION? #hookmeupLORD
